The present study approaches, through a bibliographical research, the Information Systems , the tools and the methods of Organizational Intelligence, with sights to its application in environments of Maintenance as instruments to increase the management of this function. In this direction, the concepts of Maintenance are initial/y approached and its main types argued. After that, the concepts of Organizational Intelligence and its Cycle are explored. In the sequence, the relation of the Information in the Maintenance environments, its importance, the types of applicable Information Systems to this function are examined and, final/y, as a contribution, subsidies are presented to recommend a conceptual model of Organizational Intelligence application in the function Maintenance. In order to the increasing search for productivity and reduction of costs, the market finds in the Maintenance, chances of improvements and competitiveness, surpassing its importance beyond a simple half activity, generating of costs. However, as one of the results gotten in the research, the application of intelligence tools as the Data Warehouse, the Data Mining and the Knowledge Discovery in Database in the Maintenance, were considered as a possible powerful instrument for the acceleration of this process.
