<p>E-utbildning är en relativt ny form av distansutbildning och har utvecklats markant under de senaste åren. Dessvärre har den pedagogiska biten av lärandet i många fall försummats till fördel för de tekniska aspekterna. Eftersom interaktiva självstudier kan erbjuda ett mer riktat informationsflöde bör man ta vara på detta och erbjuda användaren olika möjligheter att ta till sig och bearbeta informationen. Alla människor har olika inlärningsstilar, det vill säga man lär sig via olika faktorer. Vissa personer tycker om att lyssna på informationen medan andra gärna vill ha det förklarat i bilder och med figurer, samtidigt som somliga gärna vill prova teorin i praktiken.</p><p>För att skapa en bra designad e-utbildning är det viktigt att först lära känna målgruppen. Genom att ta reda på vilken inlärningsstil och datorvana de har ökar man möjligheten att utforma en e-utbildning som tilltalar målgruppen. Svårigheten ligger i att presentera all information på ett begripligt och lättillgängligt sätt för användaren.</p><p>Syftet med den här rapporten är att ta reda på hur informationen till Volvo Construction Equipments (i fortsättningen kallat Volvo CE) interaktiva utbildningar ska presenteras på bästa sätt. Fokus ligger på pedagogik och användarvänlighet. Genom att ta reda på användarnas inlärningsstil och datorvana kan Volvo CE erbjuda användarna ett mer riktat informationsflöde. Den befintliga e-utbildningen utvärderades av användarna och ändringar som ansågs nödvändiga utfördes. För att vara säker på att ändringarna var korrekta fick användarna åter utvärdera utbildningen och säga sin mening. Resultatet visade på en ökad användbarhet och mer interaktivitet som gynnade såväl inlärningseffekten som motivationen.</p>

The aim of this thesis is to certify appropriateness of using the video sequences during the Physics lessons. The school lessons are complemented by multimedia items which are not found in traditional education and that are why pupils can verify their theoretical knowledge during the work with the video sequences. The main point is the conditions that if the theoretical knowledge and competences given during the Psychics lessons are complemented by the concrete samples, pupils will easily understand and master it. It is a well chosen educational strategy which will lead to better fulfilment of the key competences in Physics.

The thesis inquires into the area of electronic education in the form of educational portals. It aims to carry out a research of educational portals on the Czech market and subsequent analysis of the portals, which offer users the services for the support of education and schooling. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on defining the terms of formal and non-formal education, describes examples of their usage. Furthermore, it deals with electronic education in the form of e-learning, defines e-learning from different points of view, and describes its historical development, forms and instruments. The work then analyses 17 portals, two of them in detail -- they represent both formal and non-formal education. The analysis offers information about portals' administrators, range of offered services as well as business models, used by the portals.

The aim of this study was to identify and describe the viability of using cell phones to conduct rapid assessments, pass key health messages and conduct monitoring and evaluation in complex emergencies. The study setting was in a cholera outbreak response situation in Mogadishu, the capital of war torn Somalia. Qantitative, descriptive research was conducted to determine the feasibility. Data collection was done using structured questionnaires, self-response mailed questionnaires as well as follow-up telephone interviews. Three groups of respondents participated in the study. The respondent groups included 383 internally displaced persons (IDPs), 5 water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) specialists and 5 specialists from 5 mobile phone providers in Mogadishu. The study showed that there is good potential for an effective, cost efficient and scalable short message service (SMS) based public health education platform in Somalia. The study has also come up with recommendations on key considerations to ensure viability of the Public health education platform. It is envisaged that the recommended platform shall increase speed, access, spontaneity, coverage and reduced cost per capita, a combination of which form the hallmark of a good emergency health response. Ultimately this effort shall contribute to improved health, reduced suffering and reduced deaths in fragile humanitarian contexts. / Health Studies / M. (Public Health)

This thesis concentrates on contexts and view-points, that should determinate the character of activities designed for gifted children in foreign languages classes. This work proposes some methods and ways that are convenient for gifted learners. It deals also with the characteristics of the teacher, who is able to conduct the gifted and the characteristics of the gifted in order to devise such activities that satisfy their special cognitive, emotional and social needs.
