Use of trade marks as internet search engine keywords Main purpose of my thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the issue of trade mark use as internet search engine keywords in relation to displaying advertisements on the internet search engine's websites, mostly from the point of view of the European Union law. However, I briefly address also legislation and jurisdiction in the USA. I chose the topic of my thesis mostly because it is one of the most discussed issues in the field of trade marks in the last few years, not only thanks to its significant economic importance, but also because of the challenge which this issue brought to the law practice. This completely new form of trade mark use was not anticipated by applicable law and it caused many debates regarding basic principles of trade mark protection. The thesis is composed of eight chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. Chapter two provides basic insight into the issue of keywords. The system of internet search engine functioning and keyword advertising is introduced. This chapter also addresses the economic importance of keyword advertising and possible conflicts that may arise when trade marks are used as keywords. My diploma thesis addresses the usage of the internet for marketing of small-scale enterprises in our surroundings. My goal is to analyse the internet environment and the possibilities of its use for marketing purposes. The analysis of internet utilities is also included. There is one case study of small-scale enterprise with appropriate conclusions in the final part of my diploma thesis. My thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part I created theoretical footholds for my thesis and I described the dilemma of the internet marketing with the use of propriate specialized literature and internet sources. I describe small-scale enterprises and it's role in our economy. This parts also includes the development of the Internet in the whole world and in the Czech republic and I want to make the acquaintance of internet as a marketing tool. The second part, the practical one, covers specific possibilities of the usage of the internet for marketing of small-scale enterprises. This part contains their characteristics and their advantages and drawbacks in different surroundings. The most important point of the second part is the case study of the shopping portal Zoot.

Regulation of Internet Abstract The internet is today one of the most rapidly evolving technological tools at our disposal. What started out being used for research and academic purposes over four decades ago, has evolved into a behemoth virtual community that has been shaped by millions of role-players and users. What started out as a self-regulated platform is coming under serious scrutiny as more and more we are finding that the current regulatory framework has massive gaping holes and human rights breaches are happening by the thousands, on a daily basis, across various internet platforms. It seems it is only a matter of time before a serious human rights or data catastrophe is on our hands. Regulation created under the stress of trying to recover from a catastrophe would be strict and have excessively tight controls and result in the loss of many freedoms which the internet has afforded the world. Dynamika obchodního modelu v telekomunikacích / Dynamics of business model in telecommunications

This doctoral thesis is focused on the most progressive part of telecommunications nowadays, on Internet governance and Internet domain name system. This field is not only highly interesting, but only very little researched area from the point of view of economics sciences compared to the traditional fields. Recently, the question of Internet governance was highlighted, but it has been neither resolved nor sufficiently discussed so far. The theory does not answer many questions raised by the praxis sufficiently. The aim of the thesis was to describe the branch in detail and to develop an original model, which would characterise the dependency of the number of registrations on other indicators. This doctoral thesis of Regina Filipova Fuchsova brings a detailed analysis of factors influencing the domain name system. This is the first analysis of this art ever, which targets top level domains .cz and .eu. Typology of TLD registries and connection of domain name selection with the company strategy are further new findings. Based on own analysis and case studies, the author concludes, that there is a relatively strong dependency of the number of registered domains under the respective TLD on national economy characteristics and that the model of the relationship of a ccTLD registry and respective government significantly varies in particular countries. This is due to the historical development and national specifics. The author further came to the conclusion, that national and generic TLDs are partially substitutes and partially complements on national markets. It depends on concrete market and the degree of ccTLD liberalisation, because generic TLDs act as substitutes to the country code TLD on not liberalised markets and/or where the ccTLD is rather expensive. As for the liberalised markets, the growth of a ccTLD goes hand in hand with the growth of gTLD and they compete less. National TLDs of the EU countries and the European TLD .eu show the nature of complements according to the statistical analysis. There are significant theoretical and practical contributions of this work because of its wide content and original analysis in this field. The findings can be practically used for registry benchmarking and ideas related to the delegation of new top level domains.

This dissertation is occupied with the Internet Issues and the Internet addiction, which is currently a frequent topic in professional and popular journals. This work is primarily focused on the Internet addiction and the identification of risks for selected high school students. The author describes the phenomenon of the Internet and the Internet background and its impact on the identity of adolescents. Research investigation carried out by using an empirical investigation among students, points to the need to devote more Internet and Internet addiction, not only within specific primary prevention but also in itself education. Dissertation provides suggestions specific approaches in primary prevention and intervention in secondary schools. It can be used as an introduction to the Issue for teachers working in the role of the school prevention methodologist or in the role of the educational consultant. Nová média ve vztahu k depresivitě a suicidalitě u adolescentů / New Media in Relation to Depressiveness and Suicidality in Adolescents

The diploma thesis is entitled "New Media in Relation to Depressiveness and Suicidality in Adolescents". The theoretical part of the work defines terms related to suicidal behavior and defines adolescence period, further addressses suicidal behavior in adolescents and its epidemiology, risk and protective factors. In the next part, the thesis focuses on adolescent depressiveness and the characteristics of new media. Internet addiction and relationship to depressive symptomatic or suicidal behavior are described in particular. The empirical part of the thesis describes a research project dedicated to examining internet addiction in relation to depressiveness and suicidal risk in late adolescence. The research sample consists of 201 students from various high schools in Prague. Data acquisition methods included the Questionnaire for Determination of Suicide Risk (FBS), the Scale of depressiveness Dolejš, Skopal, Suchá (SDDSS) and the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) questionnaire. The results confirmed that internet addiction is significantly correlated with both depressiveness and suicidal risk. Furthermore, business academy students have been shown to have significantly higher rates of depression than grammar school students.
