Det handlar om problem med valutakursdifferenser, problem med försäljning av dotterbolag samt administrativa problem. Utöver dessa problem ville vi även undersöka huruvida Core Network följer armlängdprincipens krav.<em> </em></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Syfte: </em></strong>Syftet med denna undersökning är att granska hur Core Network internprissätter sina tjänster inom koncernen för att kunna diskutera problemen med internprissättningen samt hur koncernen tillämpar armlängdsprincipens krav.<em> </em></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Metod: </em></strong>Vi kommer att besvara uppsatsens problemfrågor genom att intervjua anställda på Network operation som har insyn i internprissättningen. Svaren kommer sedan att analyseras med stöd av uppsatsens referensram.<em></em></p><p><strong><em></em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Resultat</em></strong><em>: </em>Vi kom fram till att Core Networks internprissättningsmodeller fungerar bra för avdelningen men för att följa armlängdsprincipens krav bättre skulle de kunna byta modeller. aktiviteter som i grunden handlar om att uppnå ekonomiska mål. Internprissättning är ett av dessa. När ett företag växer i storlek uppkommer ofta en diskussion om hur organisationen ska decentraliseras och vem som ska fatta beslut. Vanligt idag är att företagen decentraliseras och fler och fler beslut fattas lokalt. 1967 gjordes en enkätundersökning som innefattade totalt 235 svenska företag varav bland annat alla börsnoterade. Man ville undersöka vad man i svenska företag vill åstadkomma med sin internavräkning. Det finns många olika anledningar till varför ett företag använder internprissättning. Vissa menar att internprissättning hjälper ett företag att koordinera de olika enheterna så att de kan jobba effektivare. Andra författare och forskare går ett steg längre och hävdar att internprissättning är en förutsättning för att uppdelningen i självständiga enheter ska fungera. Vår ambition var att komma fram till hur internprissättningen ser ut i svenska företag idag och att jämföra resultatet med hur det sett ut tidigare. Därför utgick författarna från tidigare forskning; främst Göran Arvidssons publikation från 1972 samt en rapport om internprissättning utgiven av Lantz et al 2002. Även doktorsavhandlingar och uppsatser på kandidat- och magisternivå har använts för att kartlägga tidigare forskning inom ämnet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka av vilken anledning svenska företag använder internprissättning och vilken prissättningsmetod som förekommer mest frekvent samt att se om detta har förändrats över tiden. För att ge svar på forskningsfrågorna har en enkät skapas för att samla in kvantitativ information. Enkäten skapades genom att använda gratistjänsten MySurvs på Internet där användaren kan göra enkäter och sedan på ett enkelt sätt göra dem tillgängliga för respondenterna. Vi har besvarat vårt syfte som utvecklades ur problemformuleringen. Vi kan konstatera att vår undersökning går i linje med Arvidssons från 1972, fråntaget syftet skatteskäl. En bidragande orsak till detta är lagen om dokumentationsskyldighet som bör ha haft stor inverkan på vårt resultat. activities that basically are about achieving organisational goals. Transfer pricing is one of these. When a company grows in size, it has to decide how to decentralize its organisation and at what level decisions should be made. Over the last decades there has been a trend to decentralize the firms and make more decisions locally. A survey was conducted in 1967 that included 235 Swedish firms, in order to investigate what Swedish companies wanted to accomplish with its transfer pricing system. There are many reasons why firms use transfer pricing. Some authors and researchers in the subject argue that transfer pricing helps a firm to coordinate its divisions in order to make them work more effective. Other researchers imply that transfer pricing is a requisite when decentralizing the organisation. Our ambition was to find out how firms use transfer pricing today and to compare that to the 1970’s. We started out by analysing other researchers’ work, of which Arvidsson’s publication from 1972 and a business report by Lantz from 2002 were most significant. Doctoral-, bachelor- and master theses have also been used in order to gain an understanding of the field. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate why Swedish firms use transfer pricing and which method is most common when setting transfer prices and if this has changed over time. In order to answer the research questions, a survey was conducted to gather quantitative information. It was created using MySurvs, an internet survey provider, where the user can create surveys and easily send them to respondents. We have served our purpose which was created from the research questions. Our investigation is similar to what Arvidsson concluded in 1972, except from the purpose “tax reasons”. This can, at least partly, be explained by the implementation of a new law about transfer pricing documentation. många aktiviteter som i grunden handlar om att uppnå ekonomiska mål. Internprissättning är ett av dessa. När ett företag växer i storlek uppkommer ofta en diskussion om hur organisationen ska decentraliseras och vem som ska fatta beslut. Vanligt idag är att företagen decentraliseras och fler och fler beslut fattas lokalt.</p><p>1967 gjordes en enkätundersökning som innefattade totalt 235 svenska företag varav bland annat alla börsnoterade. Man ville undersöka vad man i svenska företag vill åstadkomma med sin internavräkning. Det finns många olika anledningar till varför ett företag använder internprissättning. Vissa menar att internprissättning hjälper ett företag att koordinera de olika enheterna så att de kan jobba effektivare. Andra författare och forskare går ett steg längre och hävdar att internprissättning är en förutsättning för att uppdelningen i självständiga enheter ska fungera.</p><p>Vår ambition var att komma fram till hur internprissättningen ser ut i svenska företag idag och att jämföra resultatet med hur det sett ut tidigare. Därför utgick författarna från tidigare forskning; främst Göran Arvidssons publikation från 1972 samt en rapport om internprissättning utgiven av Lantz et al 2002. Även doktorsavhandlingar och uppsatser på kandidat- och magisternivå har använts för att kartlägga tidigare forskning inom ämnet.</p><p>Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka av vilken anledning svenska företag använder internprissättning och vilken prissättningsmetod som förekommer mest frekvent samt att se om detta har förändrats över tiden.</p><p>För att ge svar på forskningsfrågorna har en enkät skapas för att samla in kvantitativ information. Enkäten skapades genom att använda gratistjänsten MySurvs på Internet där användaren kan göra enkäter och sedan på ett enkelt sätt göra dem tillgängliga för respondenterna.</p><p>Vi har besvarat vårt syfte som utvecklades ur problemformuleringen. Vi kan konstatera att vår undersökning går i linje med Arvidssons från 1972, fråntaget syftet skatteskäl. En bidragande orsak till detta är lagen om dokumentationsskyldighet som bör ha haft stor inverkan på vårt resultat. activities that basically are about achieving organisational goals. Transfer pricing is one of these. When a company grows in size, it has to decide how to decentralize its organisation and at what level decisions should be made. Over the last decades there has been a trend to decentralize the firms and make more decisions locally.</p><p>A survey was conducted in 1967 that included 235 Swedish firms, in order to investigate what Swedish companies wanted to accomplish with its transfer pricing system. There are many reasons why firms use transfer pricing. Some authors and researchers in the subject argue that transfer pricing helps a firm to coordinate its divisions in order to make them work more effective. Other researchers imply that transfer pricing is a requisite when decentralizing the organisation.</p><p>Our ambition was to find out how firms use transfer pricing today and to compare that to the 1970’s. We started out by analysing other researchers’ work, of which Arvidsson’s publication from 1972 and a business report by Lantz from 2002 were most significant. Doctoral-, bachelor- and master theses have also been used in order to gain an understanding of the field.</p><p>The purpose of this thesis is to investigate why Swedish firms use transfer pricing and which method is most common when setting transfer prices and if this has changed over time.</p><p>In order to answer the research questions, a survey was conducted to gather quantitative information. It was created using MySurvs, an internet survey provider, where the user can create surveys and easily send them to respondents.</p><p>We have served our purpose which was created from the research questions. Our investigation is similar to what Arvidsson concluded in 1972, except from the purpose “tax reasons”. This can, at least partly, be explained by the implementation of a new law about transfer pricing documentation. När en offentlig verksamhet går mot att styras mer som den privata sektorn uppstår vissa problem. Den offentliga verksamheten som har en stor bredd i sina verksamheter för att tillhandahålla service till medborgarna behöver det att de också hushålla med sina resurser, då dessa finansieras av bland annat skatteintäkter. Det kan uppstå vissa styreffekter till följd till användningen av internpriser, som kan vara av såväl positiv som negativ karaktär. Genom att en offentlig organisation använder sig av internpriser för att styra i organisationen uppstår ytterligare effekter såsom förändringar i resursanvändandet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur offentlig verksamhet använder sig utav internpriser för att styra i organisationen. Med att använda internpriser syftas det på vilken metod som används och hur styreffekterna hanteras i organisationen. Den teoretiska delen av uppsatsen behandlar i först hur styrning i en offentlig organisation kan se ut genom att redogöra för New Public Management. I den andra delen av teorin behandlas internpriser, dess syfte, användbara metoder samt vilka effekter som kan uppstå när en organisation använder internpriser. Teorin avslutas med att redogöra för en prismodell som kan vara användbar vid arbetet kring att etablera internpriser. För att undersöka hur internpriser används till att styra i praktiken har en fallstudie med semistrukturerade, kvalitativa intervjuer genomförts. Intervjuer har genomförts med personer som arbetar med styrningen och internpriser i offentlig verksamhet. Dessa intervjuer har sedan kompletterats med dokumentanalyser, av material som tillhandahållits av respondenterna. Det empiriska materialet har tillsammans med den teoretiska referensramen bidragit till att vi kunnat genomföra en analys av en offentlig organisations användning av internpriser Genom att använda internpriser i offentlig organisation kan vissa förväntade effekter uppstå. Exempel på sådana effekter är bland annat ökad kostnadsmedvetenhet hos medarbetarna, vilket leder till ett minskat slöseri med resurser. Men det kan även uppstå effekter som tenderar till att vara negativa, genom att internpriser kan bidra till att det administrativa arbetet kan upplevas som krävande och tungt. Genom att analysera de problem och svårigheter som finns med internpriser i offentliga organisationer har vi kommit fram till att problemet inte återfinns i prisnivån. Istället går det att härleda svårigheterna med internpriser, till vad som inkluderas i erbjudandena samt hur dessa sedan kommuniceras ut i organisationen. Dock är offentliga organisationer komplexa med stor bredd i sin verksamhet, vilket kan leda till att fler än en prismodell kan behöva användas. Det finns lite teoretisk fakta kring internprissättning överlag, men framförallt kring internprissättning i offentliga organisationer. Att offentliga organisationer arbetar utan vinstsyfte och strävar efter ett noll resultat, kan vara en anledning till att de kostnadsbaserade internpriser att föredra i de fall där den offentliga sektorns tjänster inte kommer i kontakt med marknaden. / This thesis will explore the subject of the difficulties of applying transfer pricing within public organizations, and the effect this practice has on such organizations. There are limited theories that address the issue of transfer pricing in public as well as in private organizations. The lack of theories only makes this problem more pressing and this thesis questioned the recurring use of such a practice in light of this. This thesis sets out to analyze an approach to establish a functional transfer pricing strategy in a specific organization. Data was gathered on the organization’s use of transfer pricing as a means to guide the organization towards tax saving, reduce the waste of recourses and establish awareness of cost effectiveness within the organization. The analysis showed that the problem for this specific organization was not the price level itself but instead what the offer actually included and how well the seller communicated the content of the offer to the other unit of the organization.
