A study of Knowledge Management for Medical IndustryHu, Kai-yuan 24 August 2004 (has links)
After stepping into 21st century of knowledge economy era, the enterprises¡¦ competition advantage depends on knowledge-management mechanism to promote the decision-making quality, supply better service quality, create core technology, cultivate team cooperation, and establish good relationship with customers. In Taiwan, the competition among medical industries is hot increasing since the practicing of health insurance. The request of medical quality is higher and higher. The medical industry must enforce the medical administration system to elaborate her efficacy. But the SARS infection incident during 2003 is ascertained that the infection almost was inside the hospital. The medical control system and policies were unsuitable and the medical workers operated without protection facilities. Therefore, the workers were infected SARS and six persons died for medical job. This disaster is due to the incompleteness of medical administration. To promote medical quality and performance, combining knowledge-management, clinic administration and quality control is necessary. The knowledge-management includes the acquiring, spreading, cumulating and sharing of knowledge.
This study adopts questionnaire law and expert interview law quantity measuring tool.The statistic analysis is based on research framework and model. After the retrieval of questionnaire, the data are coded, checked, keyed. According to the change of quantity-measuring dimensions, the linear analysis- Pearsons relationship is chosen as proper statistic analytical tool. The regression analysis was conducted by SPSS 10.0 software. The result is used to understand the knowledge management of medical industry and discuss the factors, including individual cognition, organization culture, operating aspect and strategy consideration, affecting the performance of knowledge management.
It is found that, the establishment of encouragement system, performance comments, on-the-job training, experience inheritance education, and psychology construct coach are all necessary to carry out the knowledge management of medical administration in medical industry. It is very important that the decision makers and directors should emphasize actually knowledge management and execute completely to enhance competition advantage and insure the medical service quality.

A strategy study to regenerate local development by rural tourismCheng, Hsin-Yi 13 July 2005 (has links)
According to the Statistics from Council of Agriculture in 2005, the proportion that agriculture occupied in the industrial structure of Taiwan has already dropped to 1.5%. After Taiwan joined the World Trade Organization in 2002, the government constructively attempted to encourage the farmers to transform to the suppliers of the recreation services. It¡¦s promoted the developed types of rural tourism changes from the early orchards and leisure farms to combine closely with local characteristics.
The study aims to investigate the situations of rural tourism in Taiwan and to develop the workable strategies to revive the local economy. Use in-deep interview and the survey of questionnaire in Delphi method to collect the opinions from the industrial businessmen, government officials and academic experts.
It has found that economical, social, and environmental dimensions obviously affect rural tourism in reviving local development. Furthermore, the strategies of rural tourism to regenerate local development could be divided into short-term and long-term strategy. For short-term strategy, there six recommends of the government are as followed, amending legislative laws and policies, adequately improving infrastructures, providing in-job training, and so on. And there are three about rural tourism suppliers. They are promoting the uniqueness rural resources, participating in communities¡¦ development, and upgrading the qualities of service. For long-term strategies, experts suggest the government in three dimensions, and four for the rural tourism suppliers.
In conclusion, rural tourism is one of the most popular domestic recreation activities. In the future, the participations from business, governments, residents, and tourists are all very important to achieve the sustainable management goals. It¡¦s expected that development of Taiwan rural tourism could attract international tourists and improve the Taiwan¡¦s visibility in the international tourism market.

A study on differences of interview questions asked between line managers and HR peopleChen, Tzu-wen 17 August 2006 (has links)
Interview is the most frequently-used method of selection in present enterprises. In order to select suitable employees, there will be at least two phases of interviews in which both of line managers and hr specialists are interviewers. There is no existing literature discussing about the differences between their behaviors during interviews. This study is mainly focused on those differences between interview questions asked by line managers and hr specialists in a cooperative interview. Besides, this study also analyses relevant factors which have impacts on effectiveness of interviews and corporation.
This study uses dyadic questionnaires to collect empirical data and the author selects both line managers and hr specialists to answer the dyadic questionnaires. To increase validity of data, there is a limitation on the process of sample selection. Only those line managers from manufacture department or business divisions which are the major profit resource in enterprises can answer the questionnaires. 180 dyadic questionnaires were sent, and 114 valid questionnaires were responded. The valid response rate was 63.33%.
Using independent-sample T test, one-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA, the results are shown as below,
1.The effectiveness of interviews is irrelevant to interview training, interview period and interview check list.
2.There is no difference between interview questions asked by line managers and hr specialists.
3.There is no significant influence on interview questions between line managers and hr specialists by interview training, interviewer¡¦s interview experience and method of interview cooperation.
4.The effectiveness of cooperation is not influenced by interview training and interviewers¡¦ interview experiences either.

When employee turnover rate in a company is too high, not only it will result in the increase of cost, affecting employee morale, making negative impression on customers, but also impacting corporate performance in the long run. This research uses one of the qualitative research techniques to study the human resource management practices of the four interviewed companies, trying to identify the best practices they have in common that contribute to the decline of employee turnover rate or maintain it within acceptable level.
After interviewing the four companies, two in service industry and the other two in high-tech manufacture industry, this research analyzed their human resource management practices, and found five best practices they have in common that help these four companies successfully keep employee turnover rate in control. Therefore this research concluded that a company, whether it is in service industry or high-tech manufacture industry, or whether its organizational culture is more performance-oriented or rather paternalistic, by recruiting employees through diversified approaches and selecting them by their personalities, and strongly linking performance appraisal system, reward system, promotion system and training and development system together, the synergy of the best practices all together will contribute to the decline or maintain of employee turnover rate.
