The aim of this diploma theses is to identify business risks, which threaten the firm KOVOLIT Česká spol. s r.o.. in the case of its other planned investments. They are proposed recommendations for reduction of its identified risks.

In the diploma thesis we will deal with the design of processes for managing the free capital of the company in the stock market (the results are interpreted on historical data) and the cryptocurrency market. Free cash is capitalized on both markets by using a selected investment strategy for each market and see if the investment was profitable.

The diploma thesis aims on creation of investment portfolios with their creation. When creating will be based on economic results issuers. The theoretical part will describe the methods that will lead to this result. In particular, the determination of the intrinsic value of the shares and the influence of other issuer indicators that affect the final decision whether to buy the company's shares or not and, if so, what quantity. Portfolios will be created in 2017 with yearly adjustment.

The subject of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the economic suitability of the investment in the construction work in a building with unsuitable layout. There will be a technical description of the original building, a description of demolition works and a description of the reconstruction. The economic suitability of the investment will be assessed by basic approaches of valuation. It will be a cost approach of valuation, a sales approach of valuation and income capitalization approach of valuation. Income capitalization approach of valuation will be the primary approach to calculation income capitalization that allows economic evaluation of investment before and after the reconstruction.

The main goal of this Master's Thesis is to determine the most convenient way for financing of the purchase of a new construction machine for MONTAKO, Ltd. It deals mainly with comparing of credit and lease financing.

It deals with the property invesments through mutual funds, investment companies and unit trusts, with tax and legal benefits of these investments and their financing. It monitors all the segments of the real estate market development. Its models will cover future optimistic, pesimistic and realistic scenario of the real estate markets.

This diploma thesis is focused on evaluation of impact of oil price changes on share values of oil companies. The main goal was to clarify whether stocks of oil companies with state share react to oil price movements differently than stocks of oil companies without state share. This hypothesis was verified by analysis of time series of oil price (WTI) and share values of seven oil companies (BP, ExxonMobil, Lukoil, PetroChina, Statoil, Petrobras). One-day data from 2002-2016 period were used. Investment recommendation based on econometric methods (correlation analysis, regression analysis, VAR model, Granger causality) and financial methods (volatility, profitability) was drawn up in this study. The hypothesis of state influence was confirmed.

Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth Abstract This dissertation consists of three empirical research papers on FDI inflow and economic growth and the role the host country natural resources abundance and institutional quality play in altering the FDI-growth relationship. The first paper (chapter 2) investigates the FDI-growth relationship and the impact of the host country's natural resource abundance on the FDI-growth relationship. The paper uses a dataset of 117 countries over the period 1991-2016 and use system GMM estimation method and found a positive and significant impact of FDI inflows on the economic growth of the host country. However, FDI-induced growth was found to be more pronounced in the low-and middle-income countries compared to high-income countries. Further, FDI-induced economic growth is slowed down by the increase in the size of the natural resource sector both in the low-and middle-income as well as high- income countries. The direct negative impact of natural resources on growth was found to be stronger in the low-and middle-income countries compared to the high-income countries.
