Santri and abangan in Java.

Muchtarom, Zaini. January 1975 (has links)
This thesis is concerned with the description of Muslim society in contemporary Java, and pays particular attention to the two typologically distinctive groups, the so-called santri and abangan. While investigation is made into the origin of these two groups, this study is attempting to elucidate santri and abangan in their two essential aspects; firstly as socio-religious groups and secondly as socio-political powers. It also stresses the process by which the struggle of santri and abangan vis-a-vis the strife between different political ideologies becomes one of the basic determinants in Indonesian politics.

Multiaplikační čipové karty / Multiaplication smart cards

Meluzín, Ivo January 2011 (has links)
The goal of the first part of the thesis is to describe the options of wide usage of chip cards in different segments of our life. Consequently it is necessary to mention hardware and software equipment of smart card, its communication with terminal and data security. In this thesis we focus on Java Card environment in which we will try to create two applications, one for electronic purse and the second for user identification. Basically, we need to mention multiapplicational rules of sharing data and objects. At the end of the thesis we are focusing on the possibility of mutual interference between the applications and on protection against attacks. Also future applications of this technology are described.

A Java Founded LOIS-framework and the Message Passing Interface? : An Exploratory Case Study

Strand, Christian January 2006 (has links)
<p>In this thesis project we have successfully added an MPI extension layer to the LOIS framework. The framework defines an infrastructure for executing and connecting continuous stream processing applications. The MPI extension provides the same amount of stream based data as the framework’s original transport. We assert that an MPI-2 compatible implementation can be a candidate to extend the given framework with an adaptive and flexible communication sub-system. Adaptability is required since the communication subsystem has to be resilient to changes, either due to optimizations or system requirements.</p>

Islam and Javanese acculturation : textual and contextual analysis of the slametan ritual

Hilmy, Masdar. January 1998 (has links)
This Thesis deals with the cultural encounter between Islam and Javanese culture as represented by the slametan ritual. The major purposes of this thesis are threefold; (1) to give a brief account of the historical backdrop of the encounter between Islam and the Javanese tradition; (2) to discuss the ongoing dispute among scholars over whether the slametan is animistic, syncretistic or Islamic; and (3) to provide a new perspective on the slametan ritual based upon textual (religious) and contextual (socio-cultural) analysis. / The hypothesis underlying this work is that the slametan is a prototype of syncretistic ritual, the representative of Islamic elements---as its core---on the one hand, and local traditions---as its periphery---on the other. This work will argue against the theory of the slametan developed both by Geertz and Woodward. The first scholar sees the slametan from a socio-cultural perspective only, while the latter views it on an Islamic theological basis. The current writer argues that one should employ a holistic perspective to see the slametan comprehensively; both from "inside" (religious perspective) and "outside" (cultural perspective).

Tikslas: Išanalizuoti Java Enterprise Edition technologiją. Ją taikant, realizuoti aukcionų sistemą.Užduoties pagrindimas: šiai dienai Java programavimo kalba yra pritaikoma vis platesnio masto aplikacijoms kurti. Java EE technologija ateityje tik tobulės, todėl yra naudinga suprasti internetinių aplikacijų kūrimą naudojant Java programavimo kalbą. / Word “Internet” is widely used in our days. Many people can not imagine their lives without it. Companies are looking for technologies which would make their products more attractive to users, provide more user friendly interface and make their products unique. Java EE is to fill this spot. This paper contains short description of Java programming language and short history of Java as a programming language development, followed by general concepts of Java Enterprise Edition and MVC usage in it.

The politics of participation : an ethnography of gamelan associations in Surakarta, central Java

Roberts, Jonathan Fergus January 2015 (has links)
Professional Javanese gamelan musicians and the way they think about and make music have been extensively studied by ethnomusicologists. This thesis shifts the analytical focus to the experience and practice of players in 'gamelan associations' for whom music is neither their primary occupation nor main source of income. It addresses two issues: firstly, who are these musicians and what does their way of playing and conceiving of music tell us about gamelan, and secondly, what opportunities and benefits does participation in these groups afford them. The first section sets out the details and context of fourteen gamelan associations in Surakarta. It examines local terminology for different forms of musicianship, their practice in relation to factors such as recompense for playing, ability, repertoire, and training, and discusses the combination of rehearsal and social gathering which I claim is fundamental to these groups. I argue that, whilst there is significant diversity among gamelan associations and their members, they represent a unified category of musicians distinct from those who are officially employed to play and that the specific benefits they obtain from playing derive from this non-professional status. The second section sets out these benefits in five chapters, relating respectively to gamelan's implication in discourses of community at local and state level, expressions of cultural ownership, the display and negotiation of personal authority, access to power, and the production of public sound. I argue that these connections mean that participation in gamelan associations is not simply recreational but a potentially powerful way for Solonese people to create meaning and influence for themselves amidst the competing models of modernity and rapid political change of contemporary Indonesia.

Mobilní aplikace pro šifrované volání / Mobile Application for Encrypted Calls

Jonáš, Jiří January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is focused on implementation of aplication for secure telephone communication on data network. Application is developed for operating system Android. For call management is responsible signaling protocol SIP and for transfer of voice data is used protocol RTP. For security of call is first created cryptografic key for symetric cryptography. After generating key is established call, which is encrypted by symetric cipher AES. Encrypting between communicating sides is provided in application or on microSD card. Part of solution is measurement of speed of cryptographic primitives, which are used for secure call.

Ovládání počítače prostřednictvím mobilního telefonu / Handset based computer control

Kovář, Jan January 2009 (has links)
The master's thesis is focused on Java based solution of remote PC control using a mobile phone. Application is made up of client and server, which are communicating via Bluetooth interface. The client represents a mobile application (MIDlet) and commands sent to the server. Server, run on a computer (with any operating system), read these orders and evaluate their algorithms to control the PC. The issue of the draft text is divided into two units, each of them describes just one part of the application. The client describes its functionality. It is also fully examines the structure of mobile application programmed in Java ME, together with the most important methods of this code. Text dealing with the server part describes its activities as well as individual options utilization. It describes the structure of the server application which is programmed in Java SE. There are also a description of the most important methods of the Java SE code. This thesis gives the results of both components of the application that allow to remotely control the computer and especially the presentation. The application was properly debugged and tested, and form a functional multiplatform software.
