Korbel, Tomáš January 2020 (has links)
This work aims to contribute to the research of Czech elites of the 19th century and to write up the hitherto neglected topic of professional and social rise of Czech architects and builders in the 19th century. At this time, as a result of state reforms of the educational, administrative and legal system, the professional perception and social status of this class changed. In the introduction, architects and builders are included in the process of modernization of the construction industry and defined on the basis of their relationship to art, engineering and business. Subsequently, architects and builders are defined as a socio-professional group that has reached a certain degree of professionalism during this period. Rilkův román Zápisky Malta Lauridse Brigga v českých překladech / Rilke's Novel Die Aufzeichungen des Malte Laurids Brigge in Czech Translations

Dubcová, Eliška January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with two translations of Rilke's novel Die Aufzeichnungen des Malte Laurids Brigge. Each translation is not only conceived as a final product, but also as a communication process, influenced by a number of cultural and socio-political factors. The thesis therefore attempts to capture changes in Rilke's reception in relation to the literary paradigm and - with regards to the political situation - to the contemporary publisher policy, because during the period of socialism Rilke's work, which was highly valued in the thirties, came back into general awareness quite slowly in connection with the gradual liberation of cultural and political situation. The goal of the thesis is to map the problems of the translations' genesis with regards to the period and cultural environment and to the translators' poetic style. Part of the thesis addresses a translatological analysis, which is the base for defining both of the translators' methods.

Časopis Scéna a předválečná avantgarda / The Review Scéna and the Czech Prewar Avant-Garde

Bálková, Anna January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to discover and to sname the specific resources and procedures which were present at the birth of the theatre expressionism in our country. The first method used to find the solution to that was a compilation of the secondary literature followed by the method of analysis and comparison of the selected articles in the review Scéna review published between 1913 and 1914. Doing this research we have found out the main expressionist resource in the theatre was especially the stage economy, i. e. reducing decorations to the minimum, acting in unity, a simplicity and an utmost coordination of words and gestures. The greatest benefit of this work is exploring the period of the early expressionism as well as analysing the review Scéna which had a leading role in presenting modern drama then. Keywords Josef Kodíček, František Zavřel, the review Scéna, early expressionism, drama and theatre, avant-garde
