This diploma thesis deals with a design and construction of an embeded camera trap with a video recording and night vision support, which is able to self adapt to surroundings. The device is based on the Raspberry Pi platform and configurable by touch screen control with a user-friendly graphical interface. Also the web-application for easy remote administration was developed in Ruby On Rails framework. The camera trap was built and successfully tested under the real conditions. There are also typical application cases and requirements for camera trap construction described in this thesis.

Systém pro detekci vlakových náprav a jejich číslování dle Mezinárodní železniční unie / Detection of Train Axles and Their Numbering According to International Union of Railways

The diploma thesis deals with design and development of the system which detects and numbers train carriages in compliance with International Union of Railways. Firstly, methods for correct detection of passing wheel including time records are analysed. Also, the summary of detection sensors used in railway industry is referred. I analyse meaning of each digit in numbering according to the UIC. The system solution is designed and the interaction and communication with other sub-systems is discussed. I put emphasis on the kind of solution that returns as accurate record as possible under any circumstances. The system operates in real time. Further, the results of measuring program are back-tested in order to verify low-deviation of measuring system component. The following section describes program prototype, which processes the recorded data. The algorithms which I used for the detection of wheel and train carriages are described. In the following chapter I discuss the usage of an external camera detecting the numbers in accordance to the UIC. In the last chapter, I describe the test environment in which the solution has been tested, and summarize the results of tests on a real life railway.

Rozšíření možností optické diagnostiky spínacího oblouku / Enhancement of optical diagnostics of the switching arc

This master´s thesis si focused on determinig methodology of optical diagnostics of the switching arc using the high-speed camera Photron SA-X2. The thesis contains basic rules for proper setup of the measurement system and the rules to adjust the camera exposure. The experiments were performed on the prototype of a parametric switching chambre, while the majority of source materials was derived from the requirements of another study which was aimed on the movement of the electode spots. The process of the first adjustment of the camera, a record edit options for the presentation purposes and the process of the 3D model design of the switching arc in SketchUp software was stated. Paper contains a comparsion of the spectral filter effect and neutral density filter effect on the final record as well. The part of the work outputs are the 3D model of the switching arc and the supporting record editing software. The paper results show a degree of the inaccuracies in a optical diagnostics made from only one direction caused by the lack of the information about third dimension.

Klasifikace a rozpoznávání patologických nálezů v obrazech sítnice oka / Classification and Recognition of Pathologic Foundings in Eye Retina Images

Diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration are two of the most common retinal diseases in these days, which can lead to partial or full loss of sight. Due to it, it is necessary to create new approaches enabling to detect these diseases and inform the patient about his condition in advance. The main objective of this work is to design and to implement an algorithm for retinal diseases classification based on images of the patient's retina of previously mentioned diseases. In the first part of this work, there is described in detail each stage of each disease and its the most frequent symptoms. In this thesis, there is also a chapter about fundus camera, which is a tool for image creation of human eye retina. In the second part of this thesis, there is proposed an approach for classification of diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. There is also a chapter about algorithmic methods which can be used for image processing and object detection in image. The last part of this thesis contains the test results and their evaluation. Assessment of success of proposed and implemented methods is also part of this chapter.

Robot IMU, odometry and compass sensors are used for trajectory reconstruction, which is compared to reference GPS trajectory. Extended Monte Carlo localization and clusterization are used for robot localization. Software is implemented in C++ with ROS middleware.

Unwanted phenomena, which arise in time lapse, were analyzed and algorithms to overcome these limitations were designed. The algorithms were implemented and compared using the captured dataset. The resulting application creates time lapse from the video input and allows users to choose the processing technique including the setting of appropriate parameters.

Using circuit breakers as devices for protecting the circuit, equipment, property, and not least the people is an important part of the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. This puts high demands on the design of complex devices such as circuit breakers. To ensure proper function is one of many parts and that is the trip unit. Trip unit is used to evaluate the current flowing through the breaker and respond to undesirable overcurrent. For these reasons, this work deals with electromagnetic analysis - specifically thermal magnetic trip unit. The focus will be on improving the actual situation and finding more suitable design solutions.

Människoräknare : Realtidsräknare för antalet personer på ett kontor

Atea är ett företag som ger sina anställda friheten att arbeta på valfri plats och detta kan leda till att ett kontor inte kanske används tillfullo. Denna studie kommer därför lägga fokus på att ta fram en lösning som kommer räkna antalet personer som är på Ateas kontor i realtid och även spara data för tidigare dagar för att ge statistik över en längre tid. Syftet med denna typ av lösning är att se hur ett kontor används, samt om detta är en lösning som kommer vara användbar och för vem. En prototyplösning har tagits fram för att testa denna typ av lösning på ett kontor. Lösningen kommer bestå av olika delar som innehåller IoT, API, Next.js och hostas på Azure. I resultatet så kan man konstaterat en rad brister och svagheter existerar i denna lösning. Mätningar visar olika data ifrån vad man personligen uppskattar gentemot vad lösningen visar. Detta beror på flera faktorer, varav den största är att lösningen endast hade tillgång till en kamera och kontoret har två in- och utgångar. Vid sammanställning av användartester så kan man se en trend av att många anser att denna typ av lösning kan vara bra i en personlig synvinkel men också ur en professionell synvinkel, och det finns ett uttryckt intresse för denna typ av lösning. / Atea is a company that gives its employees the opportunity to work from where ever they want and this can lead to the office not being used to its full potential. This study will therefore explore the option to develop a solution that can count the amount of people coming and going to an Atea office in real-time, and also save the data for previous days in order to give statistic over a longer period of time. The purpose with this type of solution is to evaluate how well an office is being used, and also to determine if the solution is useful and for who. A prototype has been created in order to test the solution at an office. The solution consists of different parts made up of IoT, API, Next.js and is hosted on Azure. The results show a lot of weaknesses and flaws in this solution. The measurements show different numbers from the ones that was estimated by personal headcount versus what the solution produced. This has to do with a couple of factors but the main one being that the solution only had access to one smart camera and the office has two entrances. When compiling the user tests, we can see a trend that most people like the solution and this type of solution would be good in a personal perspective but also in a professional one. There is also an expressed interest in a solution like this.

Augmented Reality är en teknik för att förstärka verkligheten, där digitala objekt placeras framför bilder eller liknande genom att använda kameran på den mobila enhet. Eftersom det finns flera olika metoder att använda Augmented Reality-tekniken har undersökningar och efterforskningar inom området gjorts. Ett exempel på ett område där denna teknik går att använda är reklam. Reklam är något som alla dagligen möts av, men oftast kan ses som tråkiga eller är något många inte lägger märke till. Genom en Augmented Reality prototyp kan användaren registrera respektive mönster eller tal och hämta nödvändig data från en databas. Sedan skapas en interaktiv händelse som visar informationen på ett unikt sätt, där alla, även de funktionshindrade kan ta del av den information de oftast saknar. Denna interaktiva händelse ger även liv till de tidigare tråkiga reklam- eller informationsaffischer. Resultatet av rapporten är en prototyp på mobila plattformen Android som använder Augmented Reality-tekniken och har många funktioner. Den kan acceptera röstigenkänning för att registrera det som talas in och utifrån specifika nyckelord kan prototypen ge information om nyckelordet. Testningen av denna prototyp visar att många är positiva i användningen av prototypen och ser det som ett intressant sätt att få ut informationen. Personerna som har testat prototypen kan tänka sig att använda prototypen själva för att få ut sin egna reklam på ett unikt och lockande sätt. / Augmented Reality is a technology where an object is introduced in front of a picture or a similar media using the camera on a mobile device. There are several different ways to use the Augmented Reality technology, research in the field has therefore been made. An example of an area where the technology can be used is advertisement. Since advertisement is something everyone is confronted with daily, but usually the advertisement can be seen as boring or is something many do not even notice. Through a Augmented Reality prototype, users can register both patterns and speech and get the required data from a database. It can create an interactive event that displays the information in a unique way, where everyone, even people with disabilities can take part of the information they usually can not take part of. This interactive event gives life to the previously tedious advertisement or information posters. The result of the report is a prototype on the mobile platform Android using Augmented Reality technology and the prototype has many features. It can use voice recognition and keywords to access additional information about the keyword. The testing of this prototype shows that many are in favour of the use of the prototype and they see it as an interesting way to get the information. That is why they are willing use the application themselves to get their own advertising in a unique and appealing way.

Vor dem Hintergrund des Konferenzrahmens: Entwerfen, Entwickeln, Erleben möchten wir dem Leser den Entwurf unseres geometrischen Ansatzes einer Objekt-basierten Perspektivischen Optimierung (OPO), das Entwickeln unseres computergrafischen Algorithmus und das Erleben und Arbeiten im Designentscheidungsprozess nahebringen. Den OPO-Algorithmus vergleichend wollen wir einen zweiten Ansatz, eine Kamera-basierte Perspektivische Optimierung (KPO), darlegen. Unser konkretes Anliegen ist es, Designentscheidungsprozesse zu unterstützen, indem wir digitale und analoge Mittel und Werkzeuge optimieren und zusammenbringen. Das heißt, nicht nur optimierte computergrafische Algorithmen, sondern auch ein design-gerechtes Verhalten des Betrachters vor einer Bildfläche sind entscheidend. Je nach Rolle des Betrachters (Entscheider, Designer, Präsentator, Moderator) liegen spezifische Rahmenbedingungen, Handlungs- sowie Arbeitsabläufe im Designentscheidungsprozess vor.
