A detailed analysis has been selected institutions Children and Youth Karlovy Vary. On the basis of the institutional analysis according Bronislav Malinowski is judged whether an institution fulfills its mission.

A presented dissertation suggests some suitable recommendations to optimizme the activity of a state-funded institution of Carlsbad collonades and natural healing resources´ administration.The first chapter concentrates on the optimizing of a chosen organization´s activity, characterizes state-funded institutions, compares state-funded institutions to other entrepreneurial entities, defines the notion of optimalization, and adumbrates both the history and the meaning of the city of Carlsbad. The second chapter contains the analysis of the organization´s activity, investigates its financial management, the surroundings it is situated in. It also values both the organization´s strong and weak points. Based on the analysis results , the third chapter suggests some suitable measures to optimize the activity of a a state-funded institution.

Foreigners within Karlovy Vary urban region: spatial distribution and influences on local environment Due to exceptional migration characteristics of Czechia among CEE countries and entire EU, foreigners are becoming more and more important component of population of our cities. This fact implies the growing importance of foreign population as an agent in process of shaping the lived space. The aim of this diploma thesis is the presence of foreigners within the urban region and broader environs of Karlovy Vary - which currently is a city with one of the highest proportions of foreign population in entire Czechia. Migration characteristics and mobility of population of area are analysed with emphasis on foreigners. Subsequently patterns of spatial distribution of significant groups of foreigners are explained on various levels, based on unique unpublished data from Czech Foreign police office. Then the core section of empirical part is the analysis of influence of foreign inhabitants on the local environment, which stems from detailed field research carried out by the author. The work varies between urban and migration studies and theoretically is roofed by concepts of socio-spatial differentiation and residential mobility. The aim of this study is to evaluate the sustainable development of tourism in the Karlovy Vary Region. In the theoretical part the concept of sustainable development and its principles are explained and applied to the tourism industry. Then the role of some international and national institutions in promoting these principles in the Czech Republic is described. In the practical part the Karlovy Vary Region is characterized, the environment friendly forms of tourism, opportunities for their further development and support arrangements are described. In the third and fourth chapter selected indicators of sustainable development of tourism and the survey which focused on awareness of sustainable development among the population, the tourists, entrepreneurs and public administration staff are used to analyse the current state of sustainable development of tourism in the Karlovy Vary Region. For the overall evaluation the SWOT analysis is used.

This thesis deals with city ecosystem services and how are these services perceived by the visitors of the city nature areas. Specifically, the thesis deals with ecosystem services provided in the city Carlsbad. As the city Carlsbad is the spa city, great deal of visitors of the city nature areas are tourists and that is why are included in the research both city residents and also temporary visitors of the city. From the point of view of the usual division of the ecosystem services, as it was defined by Millennium ecosystem assessment (provisioning services, regulating services, cultural and supporting services), this thesis focuses mainly on the cultural and supporting ecosystem services, because this spectrum of services is presented in the greatest measure in cities in general and these services are overall the most appreciated in the urban areas. As a methodology was chosen a quantitative research, which was conducted by standardized questionnaire consisting of 19 questions. The survey was carried out in electronical form and it took part from November to December 2016. In total, 206 questionnaires were collected. This diploma thesis is focusing on use of Botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague by teachers as a destination for class field trips. Teachers use this garden with different objectives and different intensity. This diploma thesis provides a summary of this using by the processing of the survey, which took place in elementary school teachers and high school teachers. This work is testing the following hypotheses: 1. Teachers with length of practice above twenty years use the field trip less than teachers with length of practice under twenty years. 2. Men use guided tours more than women. 3. High school teachers use geopark for tour more than elementary school teachers. 4. Teachers with length of practice above twenty years visit gardens other than Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague and the Botanical Garden in Prague Troja less than teachers with length of practice under twenty years. The thesis summarizes basic information about the field trip as an organizational form. The thesis also deals with the Botanical Garden of faculty of science Charles University in Prague, its collections, history, and possibilities of using in schools.

The thesis deals with the perception of the education's quality of the master's degree program of Intensive Care (NMgr. IC) at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University (1st LF UK) of current and former students towards their motivation and attitudes. It is processed in two parts within the specified topic of the thesis motivation and attitudes of students to study in NMgr. IC at the 1st LF UK. Introduction to the topic is focused on motivation and attitudes to study, qualification, specialization, continuous and higher education, to the list of educational opportunities in the field of intensive care, the competencies and their comparison with nurses and nurses in intensive care. The research is devoted to explore the perception of the education's quality for students and graduates of NMgr. IC at the 1st LF UK in conjunction with other aspects. It contains the empirical quantitative research, which was carried out by an anonymous online questionnaire distributed via e-mail. The obtained data were analyzed by mathematical statistics and are presented in graphs or tables. In the study participated 22 of the 44 students in the 1st and 2nd year and 26 of the 87 surveyed graduates of NMgr. IC at the 1st LF UK. Total research sample consisted of 48 respondents. This thesis deals with the existence of the Association of Czechoslovak Lawyers Všehrd in the interwar period. The work follows the institutional history of the league and the world of ideas of its members. It deals with the requirements and expectations of the management association in the background of social issues and nationalist sentiments, which tended association especially in the thirties of the 20th century. The work relies on federal sources provenance and representative selection of newspaper articles. The aim is to describe the functioning of the inter-war fraternity as well as outline the trends emerging in the student movement of the First Republic. Juridical Association as the second oldest and largest Czech student association will serve as a suitable representative of these organizations. Work is also interested in the relationship Czech law students to the state, foreign nationals, other student's associations and the Czechoslovak Germans. On the basis of the dispute between the federal leadership and the opposition the work monitors political tendencies within the student movement. This thesis aims to contribute to complete the picture of the interwar Czechoslovak society.

This thesis deals with the spatial orientation of transport links in the Karlovy Vary region, with emphasis on links between the centers of the region and its hinterland. The first part describes the general characteristics of this area. It is followed by a selection of the Karlovy Vary Region transport centers and analysis of their acccesibility. This forms the basis for the transport-geographical regionalization of the region, according to the accesibility rates. The final part of this thesis is devoted to the comparison of the individual regionalizations and the identification of factors that affect them.
