The thesis Bishop Antonín Podlaha and his publishing work in ČKD (Journal for the catholic clergy) in the field of catholic biblical studies brings up the summary of the articles of the biblical theme published in ČKD and analyzes this work from the point of his attitude towards the new modern approaches of the biblical work. The end of 19th century was crucial for the birth of modern methods of biblical work. Their acceptance in the Catholic Church at that time collided with the obstructions and the restrictions. Antonín Podlaha (1865-1932) was the bishop of Czech Catholic Church engaged in the new task of the Church in the modern world uniting the faith and the science. The work is supplemented by brief contents of the articles.

In this thesis I am describing the life and work of important Czech professor and lawyer Miroslav Zedníček. It goes throught his childhood, school years, study of theology, priest activity, especially the pastoration in his parish Liběšice by Úštěk, then his pedagogical period at the Roman Catholic St. Cyril and Methodius Theological Faculty in Litoměřice and later at Catholic Teological Faculty of Charles University in Prague. I am focusing at his scientist work, especially the translation of the Codex of the Canon Law from the year 1983. I am also showing the testimony of the people who knew Miroslav Zedníček in different periods of his life and their experiences with him. There is also include the list of his publication activity, briefly mention his job in advocacy, his appreciations and medal. In the end of my thesis I have placed the text from the memorial plaque in Liběšice, which the residents donated to the professor Miroslav Zedníček as a tribute. The work deals with the motif of a woman in the works of Jakub Deml. It starts by presenting some necessary facts and events of his life. In the main part, it tries to identify the basic archetypes of feminity in Deml's works, focusing especially on the Marian Cult, that strongly influences the transformation of living persons into supra-personal and symbolical ones. In the final analysis, the question of whether the motives of archetypal women are really dominating or whether they just mirror the poet's spiritual search and fight is adressed. The purpose of this thesis is to examine methods, forms, and processes for presenting the lives and work of the Czech catholic poets Jan Zahradníček, Bohuslav Reynek, and Josef Kostohryz during high-school literature lessons. Furthermore, the objective is to propose ways of introducing the young generation of readers to catholic poetry as a source of existentialist questions pertaining to life and existence, deep personal experiences, and spirituality regardless of their individual religious beliefs and preferences. Since this thesis is primarily intended to serve as a tool for high-school teachers, the text contains an extensive section that describes the general aspects of the proposed didactic approach, where the aim is to facilitate orientation in the proposed concept on the one hand, and, on the other hand, to define the foregoing aspects because they constitute the basis of the concept. The concept chosen as a means for achieving the objectives of the thesis is based on the principles, teaching methods, and forms of innovative learning. The present M. A. theses COUNT FRANZ ANTON SPORCK - SUPPORTER OF JANSENISM THOUGHTS AND RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE deals with Baroque period, the so called "Bohemian Baroque" in the 17th - 18th century, and ends at the beginning of the Enlightenment. On the main representatives of the Czech lands was Count Franz Anton Sporck. The first chapter looks at the emergence of the movement of Jansenism, founded by Cornelius Otto Jansen, and mentions the root movement within the environment of the University of Leuven. Cornelius Otto Jansen influenced French Jansenism which had been led by Jean-Antoine Duvergier de Hauranne (First Abbe de Saint-Cyran) at the monastery of Port-Royal des Champs, and a major French personality of the movement. The other major figures were Martin de Barcos, Antoine Arnauld, Blaise Pascal and Pasquier Quesnel, who were influenced by the Jansenism environment in the Czech lands. At the same time, the first chapter focuses on the Jesuit Order, which acts as a counterpoint to the same idea of Catholic reform during the time of post Trident. Intention of this thesis is to familiarize with mission in life of Prague Auxiliary bishop ThDr. Antonín Podlaha (1865 - 1932). This significant person of Czech church, sience and historiography isn't so much reflect. This thesis is divided into five chapter. First four is about bishop life and career. Last part deal with his public activity. Antonín Podlaha was significant collector, benefactor and protector of historical sight. He was organizer of grand culture social event. For example Ethnography expo in 1895 where he organized church part of this expo or he was main person of Wenceslaus's celebrations in 1929. Bishop Podlaha was an important scientist scope of activity of church history, art history, Czech saints and theology. The most important works are Český slovník bohovědný and Památky historické. The most significant deed of Antonín Podlaha was contributed to finished building of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. Antonín Podlaha got involved in unionism. With archbishop of Olomouc, Antonín Cyril Stojan, they was organizing congresses, printed books or spreaded legacy of St. Cyril and Methodius. The thesis named "People with no religious affiliation as workers of diaconia - Current situation in Catholic and Protestant traditions" deals with stances of chosen Churches and diaconal organizations towards the employment of workers who are not members of any Church or not religiously defined. At the beginning the thesis deals with a definition of basic terms and their Biblical origins, then the thesis shortly describes important milestones in history of diaconia with closer look at the implementers. The main part of the thesis presents specific attitudes of the Roman Catholic Church, Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren and their diaconial organizations to cooperating with non denominational people and their employment. This part also presents these attitudes in the light of documents of Second Vatican Council. A chapter about spirituality and religiosity of the present time brings up a topic of the current situation in the field of employment of non denominational people in chosen church organization and fields which may appear problematic. Finally, the thesis concludes with opinions of current Czech and world theologians about what employment of non denominational people in Church organization might mean and where it might lead. Although the North Bohemian region is mainly associated with the industrial rise of the second half of the nineteenth century, which altered the local scenery and cities irreversibly, there were also far more traditional constructions being built around 1900, such churches. Between their solid-state and period concept is blended the influence of the authentic architectural progression, individual impress of architects, furthermore liturgical requirements of particular beliefs and concrete visions of owner-builders. Back then the ideal image of a church was seen as the root of discussion and polemic when many theoretical texts and building regulations were originated. The submitted work observes mainly the use of modern architectonic components following authentically traditional church architecture type. It is done pre-eminently, based on written theory and architectural practices confrontation. The given discussion I pursue with Catholics, Old-Catholics and mainly with Evangelical Confessions, whose base of theoretical text is the widest and newly build churches the most numerous.
