Teoretická část práce se věnuje přístupu předních britských ekonomů té doby k otázce kolonií a Společnosti samotné. Hlavní část práce analyzuje nositele, nástroje a financování hospodářské politiky Indie v době vlády Východoindické společnosti. Zabývá se vztahy britských politiků k indické otázce a jejich vlivem na formulaci hospodářské politiky. Analyzuje hlavní nástroje politiky Společnosti v Indii jako jsou obchodní monopol a armáda. Podrobněji sleduje financování, příjmy a výdaje Společnosti v době její vlády. V závěru nastiňuje některé okolnosti konce vlády Východoindické společnosti na subkontinentu.

Kraví hora jako fenomén města Brna

Hřebíčková, Marie January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis describe the past, examine the prresent and proposes the future of Kraví hora (Cow hill), Brno hill, which has retained its panorama undeveloped until now. It seeks to develop the potential of the place without suppression of the genius loci. It endeavours to remove barriers and make the space more penetrable by using a dense network of roads and foothpaths. It unites the area with a variety of features in a large city park. It offers a new sollution of the conflict - a city park versus a garden colony - by their interconnection and taking advantage of this symbiosis.

Rozbor vybraných britských antikoloniálních literárních děl

FUČÍKOVÁ, Adéla January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with analysing selected British anti-colonial fiction applying the theory of the renowned British literary critic Edward W. Said. It introduces Said´s theory of the motif of colonialism in different types of art work as the basic statement, as well as Said´s concept of ´the empire´, and these concepts will later on be applied onto individual literary works. They include the novella in a journal form Journal of a West India Proprietor by Matthew Gregory Lewis, a fable "How the Camel Got His Humph" from Just So Stories, and a poem "Gunga Din" from the collection Gunga Din and other Favorite Poems by Rudyard Kipling. My analysis will also include the novel A Passage to India by E.M. Forster, two novellas Lord Jim and Heart of Darkness and a short story "An Outpost of Progress" by Joseph Conrad, and a short story called "The Force of Circumstance" by Somerset Maugham. The main phenomena that will be analysed in this thesis are British racism towards the native people, cultural differences and misunderstandings, British superiority (very often also linked to certain naivety) over the native people. Analysing all these factors, I will strive to emphasize the authors´ artistic intentions and efforts to point them out as serious social problems. Applying the theory of Edward Said, I will support and develop my arguments.

Geografická variabilita velikosti mateřských kolonií jeskynních druhů netopýrů / Geographic variability in the size of maternity colonies of cave bats

Oppelová, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
Main goal of this thesis was to compare geographical variability of sizes of colonies in the relationship with the type of roost of 6 models of originally cave bats species: Greater mouse-eared bat (Myotis myotis), Geoffroy's bat (Myotis emarginatus), Common bent-wing bat (Miniopterus schreibersii), Greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum), Lesser horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros) a Mediterranean horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus euryale). The selected data set was also analyzed the possible influence of the composition of land cover in roosts around the variability of the size of the colonies. Based on compilation of literature and active communication with regional bat-monitoring coordinators, entries about size of colonies from 2 603 locations in 24 countries of Europe were collected. 1 952 entries were from roosts in buildings and 651 from caves. Based on statistical analysis, conclusive influence of type of roost on size of colonies by M. schreibersii, M. myotis a R. hipposideros was discovered. While in M. schreibersii and M. myotis are human colonies in smaller buildings, in R. hipposideros by contrast, they are larger. Simultaneously, north-west gradient in geographical distribution of maternal bat- colonies in dependence on type of roost (caves vs. buildings): in southern areas...

Role vakuolárních proteinů při vývoji kvasinkových kolonií / Vacuolar proteins in development of yeast colonies

Trubitsyna, Yana January 2019 (has links)
The laboratory strains of yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae form colonies which can differentiate into two main cell subpopulations. U and L cells demonstrate different morphology, metabolism and stress-resistance. It was also proved that some of metabolic pathways in U cells are a similar to ones in tumor cells. The unique metabolism is activated in U cells; the TORC1 is active in these cells together with autophagy and glycogen accumulation, which are characteristic for cells with inactivated TORC1. CORVET and HOPS complexes together with vacuolar ATPase are involved in processes related to vacuolar fusion and trafficking. Also, these complexes contribute to the regulation of TORC1 activity. Vam6p is a subunit of HOPS complex and it is also involved in regulation of TORC1 acting as GEF for Gtr1p GTPase, which activates TORC1. The aim of this study was to outline whether selected subunits of mentioned complexes affect TORC1 activity in U cells. Further aim was to confirm the effect of Vam6p on selected proteins production. These proteins were chosen based on results of proteomic analysis performed in our laboratory. In order to investigate possible effects of proteins of interest absence on colonies' morphology, strains deleted in selected genes were prepared (VPS3, VPS8, VPS33, VPS41, VPH2, VAC7 a...
