This thesis is engaged in the analysis of powers and obligations of the European Commission and national courts in connection with the enforcement of the rules on competition aplying to undertakings especially articles 81 and 82 of The Treaty establishing the European Community, their development and anticipated amendments. Briefly it coniders the connection between the powers of the European Commission and national competition authorities and differences between them too, in particular the question criminal sanctins in competition law.

The aim of this master thesis is to describe and evaluate the role of incoming foreign productions entering the Czech film industry after 1989. The foreign film productions tend to affect the Czech film culture in a broader context. Specifically, changes occured in governmental support of both Czech and foreign production. The film industry is not kept away from the intensifying conditions on world markets. In the recent years, this factor is leading to a greater competition in terms of attracting foreign productions to domestic locations by the system of fiscal incentives. Having these in mind, this thesis outlines until which range are the foreign productions beneficial for the state, as well as it proposes the possible manner of the Czech republic promotion abroad.

The master's thesis focuses on the role of the European Commission in the adoption of the Public Service Law (zákon č. 234/2014 Sb., o státní službě) in the Czech Republic. Its goal is to identify particular European Commission's tools of influence and their utilisation in the analysed case. The case study puts stress not only on hard methods (such as ex ante conditionality), but also on soft forms of influence (e.g. socialisation or persuasion). The Commission's tools were sorted according to Frank Schimmelfennig and Ulrich Sedelmeier's typology: 1) External-Incentive-Model; 2) Social-Learning- Model and 3) Lesson-Drawing-Model. The thesis combines two methodological approaches - process tracing and discursive analysis of relevant Czech actors. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and publically accessible documents.

Diploma thesis "The development of legal, political and social aspects of obscenity in the USA" focuses on the historical development of the basic definition of obscenity, highlights the long and difficult process of its formulation and presents crucial decisions of the Supreme court. It also briefly summarizes chief arguments supporting or rejecting censorship on the grounds of obscenity. This work also provides with a general overview of legislature concerning obscenity in the United States and concisely presents some interest groups, which are actively fighting against obscenity/ indecency or for the protection of the freedom of speech. Furthermore, the work also focuses on the work of the Federal Communication commission and gives an overview of its rulings regulating obscenity and indecency in broadcasting media. Finally, this work also introduces the Nipplegate scandal and concentrates on the developments after it.

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of finding weak points and risk analysis of a part of the information system at the municipal office of the Brno-Líšeň district, which deals with the issue of the organization of elections, namely the administrative provision and the constitution of the district electoral commissions. The thesis is based on the theoretical apparatus in the field of information systems, database systems and risk engineering. The thesis used the analysis of the Czech legal norms for the organization and conduct of elections and the specific conditions of the chosen type of municipal office.

The subject of these Master Thesis is a new building of Cars Museum. The object is located in Telc on street Radkovska, district Jihlava. This locality was chosen for its favorable conditions. In this area, there are lots of enthusiast and supporters of motorism. The nearest commission of veterans is around 50 km far. This museum is also meaning to improve a network of a commission of veterans. Telc is a beautiful historic city, which is an ideal choice for a museum of veterans. The building is divided into 3 imaginary sectors. The first one is an administrative part, which has two above-ground floors. In the first floor, there is educative room to familiarize guests with the history of vehicles, entry hall with reception, hygienic facilities for guests and base for staff and operations of the museum. In the second floor, there are offices for the museum, the commission of veterans, meeting room, storeroom, gaming-room, and daily room. The second part is the exhibition area. The third part is workshops and a base to remove operating fluids from cars. The investor is a passionate collector of historic vehicles and wants to share his collection with the public.

The subject of this diploma thesis is a review of legislation about ecodesign, the design of air conditioning systems for hospital departments and analysis of energy consumption of air conditioning systems designed before and after ecodesign 2018. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part deals with research of ecodesign legislation (especially EU Commission Regulation No. 1253/2014) and air conditioning in health care facilities. In the second part design of two air-conditioning systems serving the hospital's traumatology department was realized at the level of documentation for building permission. The third part contains calculations and assessments of expected consumption of electric and thermal energy, comparison of units before and after ecodesign and evaluation of annual operating costs.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse how the concept of work-life balance (and reconciliation policies in general) is constructed and defined at the European Union level. In order to analyse these often implicit definitions, the European Commission's working documents from 1995 to 2016 are gathered and subjected to category and content analysis. Reconciliation policies and work-life balance are stable concepts, occurring in 152 documents over the studied 22 years period. Annual Reports on gender equality and documents connected to the European Employment Strategy are specifically analysed. Even though the "reconciliation policies are part of equality policies" argumentation is often stressed, the expressed goals are usually connected to the goals of employment policies and economic policies, with economic growth being behind this argumentation. The most represented policy areas are leave policies, mainly parental leave, and services for childcare and other dependants, usually connected to the same goal - bringing more women into the labour market.

in english language: The diploma thesis is focused on expert capacities of selected political parties in the Czech republic in the field of the migration policy in context of election programs for the House of Commons election in the Czech republic in 2017. Migration policy has never been so discussed theme. But it was changed with coming of "migration crisis" and today is the access to the migration policy and the migration crisis in election programs monitored by media and electores very much. I want to focus on the expert background of the selected czech political parties, especially on partie's comissions and sections a their expert capacities. They are specializing in migration policy and migration crisis and provided opinions and backgrounds for the parties for election program. The research is focused on these parties: SPD, KSČM, Strana zelených. I am going to compare analytical capacities of these parties. I want to find out the functioning of the commissions and the type of experts. The way how the members of the commissions have become members is researched too. Next important thing for my research is the transmisson between expert commissions and election program for elections in 2017, and especially in the parts of program devoted to migration policy and migration crisis. The aim of the master thesis "The role of the European Council in the pre-legislative phase of the European legislative process" is to analyse position and influence of the European Council before proposing an official legislative proposal by the European Commission in the EU's legislative process. This pre-legislative phase of a designing of a European legislation is important, though informal. The aim of this master thesis it to find out how strong is the European Council in an agenda setting when it comes to a European legislation and to what extent the Commission is inspired or follows the European Council's conclusions when proposing a legislation. According to many authors who this thesis referring to and their research that this thesis follows, an importance and influence of the European Council has been growing a lot, recently. In their view, it has been happening primarily during serious political or economic crisis. The Commission's position as the only official proposer of a European legislation weakens in that moments while influence of the EU summits grows.
