Comparison of food security in ASEAN countries using composite indicator

Tománková, Linda January 2016 (has links)
Topic of this thesis is a preview for food security in the ASEAN. The goal is to compare the nine countries of the ASEAN and assess which country achieved success in the implementation of food security policy. To achieve these results the composite indicator will be used to analyze this issue. The purpose is to create a suggestion that would help improve the situation of regions which have greater problems with food security.

Tvorba kompozitního indikátoru a jeho interpretace pro region východní Afriky

Cabicarová, Monika January 2014 (has links)
The subject of the thesis are composite indicators, which in recent years has been developing rapidly and are often discussed areas. The theoretical part focuses on the description of composite indicators and their methodology design. The practical part is devoted to the analysis and design of the indicator. The indicators of the composite indicator has been selected to represent the influences on the development of the region. They reflect the economic, social and environmental. Based on the analysis in the final part of the design, which describes possible methods to improve the situation in the country region of East Africa. Keywords: composite indicator, region of East Africa, sustainable development.

3D tisk kompozitních materiálů / 3D print of composite materials

Kašpárková, Kristýna January 2020 (has links)
The submitted thesis deals with a study of composite materials and processing them using 3D printing technology. The experimental part of this thesis is focused on the production of test samples with the use of additive technology Fused Deposition Modeling and Continuous Filament Fabrication. The composite samples made of common onyx material, individually reinforced with continuous carbon fiber filaments, kevlar, or fiberglass, were made with Marforged Mark Two 3D printer. The other samples made of PETG PM and PETG CFjet materials were made with Original Prusa i3 MK2S 3D printer. For technological evaluation, a tensile test was performed on samples, following the norm EN ISO 527-2:2012. Based on results obtained from tensile testing, the properties of materials strength and usability are verified and compared. In this work, the production process is proposed, and technical-economic evaluation is made. In conclusion, achieved results and overall benefits of this work are summarised.

Potravinová bezpečnost v regionu střední Afriky

Staňková, Magdalena January 2015 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is a summary and description of the theoretical approaches in the construction of the composite indicator and food security in selected countries of Central Africa, with a focus on the Central African Republic. Analytical part contains a statistical analysis of the issue of food security, along with graphical and tabular presentation of the results. The last part - the draft, contains recommendations and suggestions for improving the food security of Central African States and proposed measures to improve the food security of returnees and internally displaced persons.

Study of the effect of composite elements on bonding strength of composite board

Okcu, Oktay January 2015 (has links)
In order to make a composite board in any scope, the main question about quality specification is how we can make it stronger. We studied the elements and parameters included in a composite board such as the materials and combinations of them, or how to combine them. Then we designed a suitable experimental test to measure the bonding strength of the boards. We tried to choose the most applied materials in the wood industry, and sourced them from two countries i.e. Turkey and Czech Republic. The result and Conclusions of this research is useful for who they want to enter in this industry or who are trying to have competitive advantages by searching for a better way of manufacturing the raw materials e.g. composite boards, or the products of decorative and wood appliance industry.

Creating a composite indicator and its interpretation for selected countries of the region of Southeast Asia

Bílková, Kristýna January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on creation of the composite indicators and their interpretation in the region of Southeast Asia. The indicators are chosen from three crucial fields of development, namely economic, social, and environmental field. The thesis also deals with regional disparities. Three countries were chosen representing the former area of Indochina, and Thailand as their closest neighbour. The theoretical part provides a basic overview of the key definitions and characteristics related to the issues. In the analytical part five composite indicators from each field of development are computed to evaluate the situation in the chosen countries. Correlation, cluster analysis, and regional disparities evaluation are contained in the analytical part as well. Finally, the data are assessed and recommendations are proposed.
