Lehkoživová, Ivana January 2012 (has links)
The Nature of International Law in Agreements concluded by International Non-governmental Organisations The aim of this thesis is to examine the international nature of agreements concluded by international non-governmental organisations (hereinafter referred to as INGOs). Do INGOs enter into contracts ruled by public international law? As INGOs regularly participate in international conferences, this first research question implies others: What is the role of INGOs in international treaty - making? Are they or might they become parties to "traditional" international treaties? With regard to the method of work and sources, the study is an analysis based on various academic publications including books and articles and detailed research into particular agreements. The work is composed of four chapters. Chapter one is introductory and defines the term INGOs, provides short information on their history in international law and describes their current position in international law. Chapter two discusses the issue of subjects of international law with respect to INGOs. The possibility of INGOs being the subjects of international law is investigated. Právní aspekty pronásledování židovského obyvatelstva v nacistickém Německu / Legal aspects of persecuting Jewisch citizens in Nazi Germany

Fialová, Barbora January 2012 (has links)
Resumé This thesis titled "Legal aspects of persecuting Jewisch citizens in Nazi Germany" discusses a fairly brief period in history in relation to a specific group of individuals. It provides the viewpoint of the persecution of the Jewish citizens by the Nazi State from a predominantly legal aspect, focusing on specific laws and regulations accepted in relation to the Nazis' anti-Semitic policy. The goal of this work was the endeavour to summarise this brief period of Jewish history, point out the most important legal aspects of separation of German Jews from society and prove that assumption of power by the Nazis and implementation of the anti-Semitic policy had a legal basis. This work is divided (not counting the introduction and conclusion) into six chapters, which are further divided into sub-chapters, possibly into additional parts. The first chapter is an excursion into the general concept of human races, racism and racist ideology, essential for understanding the reasoning of society at the beginning of the 20th century. The Nazis were convinced of the existence of higher and lower races and the danger of their mixing, on which they based their anti-Semitic policy, chiefly directed in the interests of maintaining "racial purity". The second chapter focuses on defining the concepts of anti-Semitism...

Vývoj cen povolenek CO2 v souvislosti se světovými konferencemi o klimatických změnách / The development of prices of CO2 allowances in relation to the world conferences about climate change

JIREK, Pavel January 2017 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis is to show how emission allowances for carbon dioxide work in the emission control system of the European Union. The first and second chapters explain global warming, give a summary of views on how to solve environmental pollution using economic instruments and inform about the first summit climate changes in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro. The third and fourth chapters discuss the origin and development of the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and other climate summits that were held between 2007 - 2015. The analytical part of my thesis deals with the third trading period of the EU ETS, the factors affecting the price of allowance and the measures resulting from global climate conferences. In this part I verify whether it is possible for climate conferences to be considered trend that moves the entire demand curve. This premise was tested with the aid of hypothesis: "In the period of the climate conference increases price of allowance." This hypothesis was examined on the basis of the condition ceteris paribus and the result of this thesis is the fact that conferences don't influence price of allowance. The results indicate that the price of allowance is probably influenced by other factors that were not the subject of my analysis.

HUMAIN – o designu, umění, humanitních vědách a umělé inteligenci / HUMAIN – Design, Art, Humanities and Artificial Inteligence

Matějová, Alina Unknown Date (has links)
Artificial intelligence is a symptom of the future of the 1980s, a technological phenomenon esoterized by millions of lines of code, a spirit in a machine, an artist of generative design, a scarecrow fictionalizing dystopian surrealism. Artificial intelligence has been talked about for a long time, in various fields from information and communication technologies through sociology and political science to design and art. Czech scientific fetishism guarding the boundaries of disciplines, showing what we are and what the others are, where designers have nothing to say about the work of anthropologists and not at all programmers, who in turn can never know anything about philosophy or microbiology. Ivory towers protruding in the void suspecting those towers at a safe distance. The HUMAIN project and conference seeks to go against this and find common ground and common narratives between design, humanities and art. We are not talking about terminological multiplication, we do not want to bring interdisciplinary leveling. HUMAIN is a platform for finding a common language and establishing cooperation. We do not want William Gibson to write the future, but to reflect artificial intelligence from as many angles as possible and to aim for the greatest possible emancipation of people, robots and the planet.
