The Image of IKEA’s Online Portals in Times of COVID-19 With Regards to its CSR and Experiential Marketing- Exemplified by IKEA Austria

Kullnig, Isabella January 2020 (has links)
As a response to COVID-19, IKEA Austria is trying to encourage its customers to rediscover their homes via its online shop. It is making an enormous effort to translate the in-store activity to the digital world, so that its customers may still experience an emotional customer journey. This is done via new online features that call for co-creation and CSR image campaigns that inform about IKEA’s COVID-19 charity projects. The information and online shopping features addressed to IKEA customers reach them through diverse platforms, among them the website as the main online communication and distribution channel (Burt, 2011, p. 192). The analysis of this transition considers the impact of COVID-19 on offline and online shopping modes and includes the reflective interviews with recurring IKEA Austria customers. It ought to describe IKEA’s journey towards online experiential marketing, how it is connected to the company’s recent CSR activities and what effect this has on IKEA’s image. Affordance theory and uses and gratification are applied to analyze and discuss the interviewees’ perception (Norman, 2013; Gao & Feng, 2016). The results of the study showed, that the interviewees’ answers clearly point at a need for further customization of the online experience by IKEA Austria, by adopting virtual shop simulation, or employee assistance features. Since the online experience requires high levels of cognitive involvement on part of the customers, being offered very targeted features can make them experience “uses”, to then derive gratification from such distant visits to the shop. They further showed, that offline retail settings continue to offer an environment in which the customers can discover the products’ affordances without risking the distortion of their senses and thus perception of false affordances. Concluding, the respondents believed, that enforced COVID-19 CSR measures and experiential marketing activities triggered their positive image perception of IKEA Austria.

Sigurds död och Gjukungarnas undergång : En innehållsanalytisk studie av Överhogdalsbonad I a och b

Mjönes, Staffan January 2019 (has links)
The late Viking age weaves of Överhogdal in Härjedalen, North central Sweden, the further place of origin unknown, C14-dated to AD 1040-1170 consist of three narrative and one decorative specimen. The current study interprets weave I a and b by combining it with the Völsunga saga from the 13th century as well as with the poetic Edda and Snorre Sturlasson’s Edda and the Nibelungen song finding close relations between the weave motif and different versions of the Sigurd/Sigfried narration on some ten occasions. The written texts were identified and compared with the motif with content analysis. The interpretations of the two other weaves, II and III, published by the author are shortly reviewed, one presenting Knut the great of Denmark ordering the murder of his second man earl Ulf after a brawl on a game of chess after a ship battle of the Danes against Norwegians and Swedes; the other on the Norwegian Viking  Erik Bloodaxe finding a Saami  princess in the Norwegian coast, his men first killing two Saami suitors, before Erik marrying her. The two texts were written by Snorre Sturlasson. Erik later on took an important role in fighting for kingships in Norway and the North Atlantic. It is suggested that weave II about Knut was a part of his campaign in Norway in the year 1028 to expand his realm in Denmark and England. Weave I a and b may have had a similar origin, being a mythic story about  a great hero Sigurd/Sigfrid killed by a brother-in-law in a conflict between his first love Brynhilde and his wife Gudrun. Style details in the weave point to a Danish and English influence. Weave I a and b contain many animals and beasts, e.g.  horses with seemingly practical and spiritual roles. To analyse their importance would further increase the impact of the weave.

Adverbial ing-clauses and non-ing initial adverbials in medical translation

Säll El Kebich, Amina January 2020 (has links)
This study investigates how non-ing initial adverbials and adverbial ing-clauses regardless of position are translated from English to Swedish in a medical text. It discusses what different kinds of positions and forms they take in the translation. The primary source is a medical text that is translated wherein the non-ing initial adverbials and adverbial ing-clauses are identified and categorized, and solutions are discussed. The results show that most non-ing initial adverbials keep their form, but are changed in some cases because of stylistic preferences. The most common form of the non-ing initial adverbials is prepositional phrases that mostly also are translated as prepositional phrases. The adverbial ing-clauses, regardless of position, change their form in all cases in the translation and the most common correspondence is subordination. Both non-ing initial adverbials and adverbial ingclauses keep their position in most cases, but are sometimes moved due to stylistic preferences.

Bildläraren som "hjälpgumma" : En forskningsöversikt om lärande i ämnesintegrerad undervisning med bildämnet / Art teacher as a ”helper”A research overview of learning in crosscurricular education with the art subject

Rystad Ploska, Helena, Järpell, Emma January 2021 (has links)
