Konvergenční proces České republiky k Evropské měnové unii / The convergence process of the Czech Republic to European monetary union

Kutinová, Hana January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the convergence process of the Czech Republic. The thesis describes the historical background of the Treaty on European Union and the criteria for adopting the euro are described in detail. The convergence process of the Czech Republic is viewed from the perspective of a nominal convergence (inflation rates, government finance, exchange rates, long-term interest rates) as well as a real convergence (measured by GDP per capita in purchasing power parity). Further, the attention is paid to the institutional framework of fiscal policy of the Czech Republic. Indicators of economic harmonization are also analyzed, such as the business cycle, interest rates, exchange rates and stock indices. The comparative method is used to evaluate -- development indicators are compared over time and with countries in a similar position with the Czech Republic.

Fučík, Václav January 2013 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis is analysis of history, present and future development of cross-border trade in electricity in the EU. A number of instruments is used -- analysis of generation mix, the role of renewables, degree of international interconnection and usage of these routes, institutional organization of the sector and price convergence of national markets. The research's output is the description of past and recent development and a forecast of possible future progress at the national level. The outcome of this thesis enables the reader to fully understand the complexity of EU electricity market and its probable future direction.

Convergence or Divergence: The Analysis of Economic Growth in the CIS Countries

Hakimov, Durbek January 2010 (has links)
This dissertation examines from a comparative perspective the growth experience for a sample of twelve countries of the former Soviet Union over the period from 1991 to 2008. Two meth- ods of econometric analysis are applied: cross-section regressions and dynamic panel data esti- mation techniques. The main focus of the study has been to empirically establish whether coun- tries in the region are converging or diverging in terms of their income per capita and to find important sources of cross-country differences which determine the shape of this process. I did not find statistically significant support for conditional convergence in any cross-section period. It is partly supported by the increased dispersion of per capita income levels during the sample period. Meanwhile, panel data fixed-effects and GMM methods provide strong support for con- ditional convergence hypothesis. The first-differenced GMM estimator indicates a rate of con- vergence of around 2 per cent a year, which is surprisingly similar to the standard cross-section findings in empirical literature. However, it could be the result of the cyclical behaviour of out- put during transition. In general, results indicate that structural transformation is not yet over in most of the countries. Therefore progress in market-oriented reforms and...

Adaptace televize na principy nových médií / Adaptation of television to new media principles

Soukup, Norbert January 2021 (has links)
This paper focuses on the changes in distribution of television content which emerged during the process of convergence between television and digital media. Nowadays it is possible not only to access television broadcasting online, but also to access individual programs through Video on Demand services. The precondition this topic was picked on is that the very existence of such services has a direct impact on the form of today's television broadcasting. Therefore the aim of this paper is to examine and describe alterations which can be found not only in the broadcasting itself but also in receiving of that broadcasting on television screens. The latter can be affected by the existence of HbbTV. The analysis and description of changes in broadcasting and receiving television content in Czech republic are the primary focuses of this paper.

Návrh genetického algoritmu pro optimalizaci vybavení distribuční sítě vn / Genetic Algorithm Design for Distribution Network Outfits Optimalization

Ondruš, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
The work deals with genetic algorithms and their potential use in application software to optimize high voltage switching elements of distribution network. Theoretical part explains the basic concepts of genetic algorithms such as a gene, population and chromosome and basic principles of the development of genetic algorithms.. The main task of the thesis is to design the algorithm that will simulate the distribution of the sectionalizers by telecontrolled section switches or reclosers and analyze how to set the the parameters affecting the convergence speed of genetic algorithm. The basic parameters affecting the convergence of breeding, mutation probability, population size or using of elitism. The second goal is finding a suitable set of input parameters for the selected population sizes without and with using elitism. The results of the work determine the most appropriate settings for each generation and determining the approximate number of generations needed to find the best solution. The genetic algorithm applocation was tested on a less extensive distribution network with six switching elements

Proměna diváckých návyků při sledování audiovizuálního obsahu s nástupem internetu a nových médií / The Change of viewers habits as a result of new media and internet era

Šedivá, Pavla January 2018 (has links)
(in English): This thesis describes, how the internet and new media change the habits of viewers when watching audiovisual content. In a theoretical part there is briefly described an evolution of television as a medium in its every phase and also are there critically introduced new ways of video consumption. The practical part contains a qualitative sociological research in a form of deep interviews with 23 participants divided into groups by sociodemographic group. The thesis reflects difference in a media praxis between these sociodemographic groups and describes an influence of new media on audiovisual content consumption.

Evropská fiskální integrace v podmínkách absence eura: rozpočtová kázeň jako základní předpoklad fiskální unie. / European fiscal integration in euro absentia. Budgetary compliance as a step stone to a fiscal union.

Pavel, Stefania-Felicia January 2020 (has links)
European fiscal integration in euro absentia. Budgetary compliance as a step stone to a fiscal union Author: Ștefania-Felicia Pavel Student ID: 31195144 Degree: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme European Politics and Society Supervisor: Mitchell Young, PhD. Institution: Charles University, Faculty of Social Sciences Institute of International Studies Submission: June 2020 Defence: September 2020 English abstract This research investigates fiscal convergence via disciplined budgets in non-euro Member States. The thesis hypothesizes that 1) post-2010 enhanced macroeconomic governance is conducive to a fiscal union and 2) fiscal stance of non-euro Member States is not correlated with their attitude to euro adoption. The fiscal convergence in euro absentia is dually tested through theory application and intensive case studies. The results show that countries can be fiscally compliant, but reject the euro or be euro enthusiast, yet fiscally deviant. Thus, the single currency can be either backstop or driver of more integration, nonetheless, European integration continues. The findings substantiate the proposition that a fiscal union is building up even in euro absentia.

Sbližování států Sdružení národů jihovýchodní Asie

Kiedroňová, Tereza January 2019 (has links)
The area of ASEAN countries and the subsequent role of regionalisation were being analysed in this thesis whilst employing the HDI, mortality rate up to 5 years, life expectancy at birth, GDP per capita, unemployment rate, and FDI as the crucial indicators. The study aims to examine the ASEAN countries and its aggregation within both the economic and social spheres. A 10-year period (2006-2016) had been inquired so that the development of each indicator may be examined. And therefore, results of beta convergence could be displayed in a correlation diagrams. The convergence trend has mirrored in five indicators. The only indicator, however, to be diverging has been represented by the unemployment rate. The findings of beta convergence suggest that, in comparison with economic indicators, social indicators tend to converge in a more significant manner in the ASEAN countries.

Talentové show v České republice a ve světě - analýza vybraných talentových formátů a jejich postupů v televizním vysílání a jejich vliv na chování publika / Talent shows in the CR and in the world-the analysis of selected talent formats and their procedures in the television broadcasting and thier influence on the behaviour of the audience

Králová, Michaela January 2014 (has links)
In my dissertation I survey the historic progress of the reality TV and the reality show, focussing on the specific genre of the talent shows, which stands for the current phenomenon of the entertainment industry in TV broadcasting. Using the method of the oral history I'll explain in detail the principals of running these shows on chosen formats and point out how different or same strategies can appear in shows all over the world. Further I'll focus on the structure and the level of a production, main features of the audience personality and behaviour, for example forming the relationship between the viewer and the participants on the basing on personal stories or praising and idealising the competitors. The next step of my analysis will be a depiction of the economic thesis and rules, which run the talent shows, which give them a direction and drive them on the TV market. I'll give an insight into the terms as the affective economics, building lovemarks or an inspiring fan, which are characteristic for the era of the convergence of media, which are considerably covered by talent shows. In the end my work depicts also the role of the jury and their specific trail, which are necessary for the viewer ratings and potential success of the certain show. Further my work will point out the typical marks...

Fan art v oficiální propagaci počítačových her / Fan art in official promotion of video games

Veselá, Veronika January 2013 (has links)
With the rise of Internet, Web and new media technologies come increased opportunities for audience to recreate media content and influence its flow across different media platforms. The fan as a demanding yet enthusiastic consumer has become a centrepiece of media industries' marketing strategies. On the one hand, this qualitative change often described as participatory culture means a giant leap forward for fans, who can now serve new roles within the media industry. On the other, it represents a potential exploitation of media users, as unpaid volunteers do the labour professionals are paid for. This study investigates this tension in a case of videogame fans. On their official websites, videogame developers encourage fans to contribute with their fan art harnessing fan creativity for their advertising purposes. Convergence culture raises conflicts and compromises between creators of fan art (fan artists), and the owners of the copyrighted works they appropriate (game companies). This study addresses three main issues: (1) the way and circumstances under which game companies are displaying fan art on their official websites, (2) how fans understand the tensions between empowerment and exploitation, how do they address the issue of free labour, (3) how fans view issues concerning intellectual property...
