The aim of this thesis is design a grate steam boiler for burning straw with an output of 10 tons of steam per hour. The produceds team has parameters 320 °C, 3,2 MPa. For a given fuel (fytomass) is calculated stoichiometric calculation. The following is the calculation of the heat balance of the boiler including the determinativ of thermal efficiency. The fuel used, the required parameters of steam and feed water temperature are designed individual convective surfaces and dimensions of the boiler. The boiler design includes drawings.

This diploma work attends to presentation of steam grid boiler for wood and brown coal burning in scale (30/70-wood) in load 60t/h, with parametres of outgoing vapour p=7MPa, t=490°C. The work is splitted to several chapters. At the beginning I’m going to make stechiometric calculation and entalpic calculations of air and compustion gas. After that I’m going to calculate heat balance, losses of boiler and set heat efficiency of boiler. Then I’m going to suggest combustion chamber of boiler and make heat calculation. After suggestion of combustion chamber I’m going to set proportions of pulls and heat-delivery surface. In last chapter I’m giong to check heat balance. Inclosure of my work contains drawing documentation of steam boiler.

In the first part is a brief introduction of the building and determination of heat consumption. Following chapters are devoted to description and sorting of gas boilers, heat pumps, biomass boilers and solar collectors, inclusive the choice of specific source of heat. In the following part is stated economic evaluation of selected heat sources. Final part of the thesis is focused on design of additional exchanger instead of gas boiler.
