Diploma thesis aims to offer explanation of reasons that triggered sovereign debt crisis in European monetary union (EMU). Theoretical part describes EMU development since its very beginning and day to day operation, role that ECB plays in the system and most frequently used monetary policy operations by ECB. Practical part is concerned in pre-crisis macro economical development in countries that suffer the most, Greece and Ireland and represent 2 main models how to run into a difficulties and forced to use support of international institutions as ECB and IMF. Scope of diploma thesis is to analyze macroeconomic development, current situation and discuss possible scenarios to solve existing situation and their impact on future of ECB.

The thesis analyses anti-crisis measures of Kimberly-Clark company. Theoretical part introduces terms like strategy, competitiveness, portfolio management and human resources management. Key element of the thesis is general strategy Europe 2012 which was published by the top management. Two case studies then address implementation of this general strategy and based on fundamental analysis form recommendations for region of Europe with focus on czech market. The most important conclusion is necessity to diversify approach to product categories within company's portfolio. Assignment of clear roles to specific categories enables better focus on their potential and maximization of contribution to company's results as a whole. In terms of operating expenses, it is important to limit their inflation depending on the evolution of sales. On the other hand we need to keep in mind that employees are the key resource for the company and it is therefore important to enasure motivating environment for them. Savings in operating expenses need to be seeked in areas bringing small added value.

Master Thesis in her theoretical part contains a brief indication of the development of marketing, completed by factors which influenced the current marketing the most. Subsequently, the work offers a comprehensive overview of modern trends, together with the positives, but barriers as well. The practical part is devoted to an analysis of one of the trends, guerilla marketing. This analysis is based on a comparison of three Czech guerilla campaigns in order to evaluate their effectiveness, in order to find out why guerilla campaign in the Czech Republic are not used very often, as in other countries and consumers attitude to these non-traditional campaigns. The analysis consists of qualitative research in the form of focus group, in the form of a quantitative questionnaire and supplemented by interviews with professionals. In conclusion there is a summary of results based on different methods.

This master thesis describes impacts of economic crisis on migration in the European Union. It analyzes migration flows within the European Union and from the third countries in the time period between 2004 and 2008. The goal of this thesis is to either confirm or deny the hypothesis: the number of people migrating from the southern parts of Europe to the more economically developed central and northern parts of Europe has increased as a consequence of the financial crisis in 2008. The impact of financial crisis on the intra-European migration is analyzed with a migration potential applied on an example of two countries: Italy and Germany.

At the same time clarifies the causes of economic crises since the 90s of the 20th century to the present from the perspective of Corporate Governance.

The thesis describes various steps and processes of restructuring in the Czech chemical manufacturing company Druchema, which is one of the traditional manufacturers of consumer chemistry since 1951. The thesis focuses on the characteristics of the business before and after the restructuralization. The actual recovery process is divided into four phases - preparation, outline steps, recovery and development. The work also includes a self-assessment with the SWOT analysis, my own recommendations for the future development of the company, an analysis of some key indicators such as inventories or receivables, and financial analysis.

The thesis is devoted to the development of value added tax in the period of financial crisis in European Union. The aim of the thesis is to answer a hypothesis, if European Union member states act according to economic theories in the field of VAT tax policy. The opening chapter explains the term of financial crisis, its development in USA and spreading out to other world markets. An introduction of the most important economic theories regarding taxes, which will serve as a theoretic background for the further analysis, follows the first chapter. The process of implementation and harmonisation of VAT European Union is described in the third part. The last unit is dedicated to the analysis itself, which is done by decomposition of VAT to rates and revenues of the tax. The development is displayed by comparison of the year 2008 and 2013.

This diploma thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the structure of the labour market in different economic cycles in the Czech Republic during 2004-2014 and compare reciprocity with German labour market, which is closest to the Czech. The theoretical part deals with general issues in the labour market, the economic cycle and the development of the global economic crisis. The work confirms the hypothesis that nowadays in 2014, four years after the economic crisis that hit the Czech economy in 2008-2010, the structure of the labour market in the Czech Republic has changed compared to the years before crisis. It also partially confirms the minor hypothesis that labour market indicators still haven´t reached the level which Czech Republic had before the crisis. The unemployment rate is still not at pre-crisis levels, but employment improved compared to 2008

This diploma thesis focuses on moral hazard in the recent financial crisis which was caused by the burst of the housing bubble in the United States of America almost nine years ago. The main contribution of this thesis is providing evidence of possibility to measure moral hazard. This measuring possibility is achieved by establishing key indicators which are linked to various types of moral hazard according to its origin or closest relation. The thesis also in part drafts a solution to moral hazard in the form of an effective regulation. This thesis is written comprehensibly and does not provide information about every detail of the financial crisis. Regardless of that it still provides most readers interesting and useful piece of information, which they probably have not encountered elsewhere.
