Mičánová, K. Crisis management in the hotel business. Diploma thesis. Brno, 2015. The diploma thesis deals with the crisis management applied in the hotel business. The main objective of this thesis is to formulate recommendations for the area of crisis management for the selected hotel. The external environment is analyzed trought PEST analysis and Porter's five forces model. Analysis of company resources is the starting point for assessment of the interal environment. According to these analysis are determined weaknesses and threats that could potentially cause a crisis situation. For these crisis situations are proposed recommendations to eliminate them.

This thesis deals with the issue of quantitative easing and the risks associated with this policy. Specifically, it is analysing the possibility of a price bubble in the stock market and real estate market as a result of quantitative easing. To identify the presence of a speculative bubble in the stock market are used indicators CAPE and Tobin's Q. It is also analysed the development of the loans granted to purchase shares. For the evaluation of real estate prices is used the ratio between the index of real estate prices and rents index. It also analyses the evolution of the number of newly issued homes and their sales. The values of those indicators show that the stock market is currently highly overvalued. On the contrary, the real estate market situation does not depart from the norm. The main result of this thesis is identification of overvaluation of the US stock market and putting into context with quantitative easing.

The thesis focuses on the vegetarianism and its potential to solve the food crisis in the world. Hypothesis was formulated and states that vegetarianism is a way to resolve this crisis. SWOT analysis method was used to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, oppor-tunities and risks of vegetarianism in term of economic, environmental and ethical aspects. The results show that vegetarianism is the way to solve the food crisis, but only on the theoretical level, because there are many factors and barriers which does not al-low the implementation of this solution in the full extent.

HONSOVÁ, J. Geopolitical position of Ukraine. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University. Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies, 2014. Thesis Supervisor Mgr. Lukáš Nevěděl, Ph.D. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains a detailed analysis of selected literature related to geopolitics, political geography, Ukrainian history and present. In addition to describing linguistic, religious structure of the population and results of the Ukrainian elections in 2004. Theoretical part also describes the geopolitical situation in Europe, the structure of Ukraine and the Ukrainian crisis issue for November 2013 - March 2014. The practical part of the thesis investigates through interviews opinions and attitudes of Ukrainians in the Ukrainian crisis and the future development of the country.

This diploma thesis deals with the effects of the economic crisis in Ukraine on economic cooperation between Russia and the European Union. Part of the literature research discusses the theoretical aspects of relations between Russia and the European Union before and beyond the crisis in Ukraine. The analytical section within each chapter analyzes the basic indicators of the economic cooperation between the EU and Russia and describes the effects of economic sanctions on these economies. In the context of the proposal section are designed possible solutions and measures in the field of stabilisation of the economic relations.

The diploma work deals with the process of international migration and the refugee crisis in Europe. The theoretical part is focused on the visa, asylum and safety policy of the European Union. The particular chapters are elaborated in the analytical part with the help of statistical data. Under the proper research, the collecting of the primary data was made with the attendance of refugees of a migration wave at the Vienna West Train Station. The data were subsequently analysed and evaluated in the presented work.

The diploma thesis analyses the world coffee market, introducing the largest importers, exporters and producers of this commodity. The thesis also examines, for example, selected countries own consumption and touches upon coffee consumption in the Czech Republic just for illustration. The thesis also includes a brief description of some major world organisations that are closely associated with coffee. The thesis offers a detailed analysis of the 2001-2004 crisis and its impacts on developing countries, whose economies depend on coffee trade, and on the global coffee market. The last section of the diploma thesis analyses three of the producing countries that hold a major position in the coffee market; this includes the basic information about these countries and their economies, cultivated areas and climate conditions. The section is concluded by an evaluation of their production and the shares of their own consumption and exports.

Markéta Radová: Chování člověka v krizových situacích. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na chování člověka v krizových situacích, blíže se zaměřuje na stres u strážníků obecní policie. Definuje základní pojmy problematiky, rozbor stresových situací a reakcí na ně, charakteristiku zkoumané skupiny, a uvádí obecné doporučené techniky zvládání stresu. Výkon obecní policie v České republice je natolik specifický, že zahraničí principy jsou v práci zmíněny jen okrajově, a to pouze z důvodu komplexního nadnárodního pohledu. V praktické části je práce zaměřena na zjištění největších stresorů a stresových situací, které strážníky nejvíce ohrožují při jejich práci. Empirický výzkum byl proveden v předem vytipovaných lokalitách tak, aby mohly být komparovány výsledky zjištěné v hlavním městě Praze oproti menším obcím na několika místech České republiky. Zkoumány byly i způsoby zvládání stresu jak z pohledu obecní policie, tak z individuálního pohledu strážníka. V závěru práce se nachází konkrétní doporučení k údajům zjištěných v dotazníkovém šetření.

This dissertation thesis is based on behavior of human in crisis situations, and the focus is on stressful situations that police officers are involved in. The thesis defines basic concepts issues, analysis not just of the stressful situations, but also reaction to them, furthermore characteristics of the studied group and it lays out some of the general recommended stress management techniques. Performance of the municipal police in the Czech Republic are so specific, that the foreign principles were mentioned only marginally, and only because of the complex transnational perspective. The practical part of the final paper is focussed on identifying the most stressful situations that threaten officers and policemen in their work. This empirical research was conducted at pre-selected locations, so that they can compared with the capital city Prague to the results of smaller towns, villages at several locations in the Czech Republic. In addition, techniques were examined for coping with stress for the municipal police, and from the perspective of the individual police officer. In conclusion, there are specific recommendations to the data found in the survey.

The aim of this thesis is to create scenarios of a possible development of future economic relations between the European Union and Russia. These scenarios of a possible development will be based on a description of those relations beginning with those that began to build up between these two subjects after a break-up of the USSR till the contemporary status when the situation between Europe (or more precisely the European Union) and Russia became considerably tense. There will be two suggested scenarios of a possible development and the first is possible to be marked as a pessimistic one and the second an optimistic one. The pessimistic scenario will continue to develop the status quo that is heading for a further limitation of economic cooperation. The optimistic one will take into account a gradual releasing from the sanctions and a cooperation improvement and it will discuss a possible progress of mutual economic relations.
