The aim of this thesis is describing development of the EMU, focused on last period, especially impacts of financial crisis. The theoretical part is devoted to the monetary integration itself, its historical development in Europe and the theory of optimum currency area. Attention is focused to the entry criteria of monetary union. The final capture is aimed on general conditions of integration ČR to EMU.

The period of the seventies was characterized by occurence of oil crises that defined the entire decade of economic development across the U.S. The theoretical section of the work is devoted to macroeconomic consequences of the increased oil prices and brings the idea of economic theory, which considers the oil shocks as a part of wider economic problems in the mentioned period. Analytical part examines the impact of increased oil prices on the concrete industry. It describes performance indicators of automobile producers in the U.S., sketch the entry of new competitors in the U.S. auto market and following gradual loss of dominance of domestic brands. Work further analyzes the consumer behaviour in terms of preferences of new model products and the usage of personal vehicles. In conclusion, the given legislative measures its impact on the development of car culture in the U.S. Synthesis of statistics on industry, regulatory and economic papers provides opinion, that even though the opportunity for change in the automotive industry due to the oil shocks of the seventies occurred, in the long term remain unused which lost the chance to eliminate the potential risk of future oil crisis in the american automotive sector.

The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the current demographic situation in Japan (mainly to explore the processes of migration in Japan and its impact on the demographic situation in the country). Specifically, this thesis analyzes the current demographic crisis and migration processes over the past century and then demonstrates, on the basis of theoretical knowledge, possible solutions to this crisis within the context of the premise of possible future development through external migration as a priority solution.

The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the causes of economic crisis in Europe, identify the fundamental reasons and propose possible solutions to it. The first chapter provides a theoretical basis for various aspects of economic cycles based on current loans. The second chapter focuses on the causes of the global financial crisis and the reasons of the crisis in Europe. The third chapter analyzes the development of the EU foreign trade since 2002 and the territorial structure of the latter, as well as the situation in the real economy. Finally, the last section discusses potential solution approaches to the economic crisis in Europe.

This thesis describes Greek and Irish economy in circumstances of world economic crisis. It studies the state of those economies in the course of membership in European Union, basic macro-economic characteristics and fundamental reasons for recession. Enhanced focus is put on fiscal politics of both countries, because in moment public finances present a big challenge for them. With respect to the present debt crisis the thesis offers an overview of steps made or being made to correct the current situation. An implementation of a fiscal union is also discussed as a next neccessary level of an European integration. It also thinks over the the future development of EU and sustainability of a common currency.

Statybos verslas viena iš didžiausią pridedamąją verte turinčių verslo šakų. 2008 metais kilusi pasaulio ekonominė krizė pasireiškė bendrojo vidaus vartojimo produkto mažėjimu. Krizę sukėlė keletas priežasčių: ilgalaikių pokyčių naftos rinkos kainodaroje bei su ja susijusių sferų - benzino, maisto produktų kainodaroje, nekilnojamo turto bei vertybinių popierių rinkoje ir bankininkystės sektoriuje kilusių nesklandumų. Tai padarė didelę įtaka statybos verslui. Vienos statybos organizacijos bankrutavo, kitos buvo priverstos reorganizuotis. Šiame moksliniame darbe analizavome Dariaus Beconio įmonės ir UAB „Šiaulių plentas“ veiklą krizės metu. Apžvelgėme įmonių vadovų priimtus sprendimus ir pateikėme pasiūlymus įmonių veiklos optimizavimui. Didžiausią dėmesį skyrėme logistikos taikymui ir įmonių logistikos tobulinimo galimybėms. Mokslinė literatūra analizuota nuo 2009 metų, o empirinis tyrimas atliktas 2011 metų sausio mėnesį. / Construction business is one of the most added-value industries. In 2008 the world economic crisis has occurred and gross domestic product fall in consumption. The crisis caused a number of reasons: long-term changes in market pricing of oil and related spheres - petrol, food pricing, real estate, the stock market and banking sector problems encountered. This had a significant impact on the construction business. One building companys went bankrupt, while others have been forced to reorganize. This study analyzes the Dariaus Beconio company and „Šiaulių plentas“ company activities in times of crisis. We overviewed what business leaders have made decisions and proposals to optimize business performance. We have concentrated on the application of logistics and logistics business development opportunities. Scientific literature was analized since 2009, and the empirical study was conducted in January 2011.

Dvořáková, S. Impacts of the economic depression in the tourism sector in the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2014. Tourism is among important sectors of the national economy of the Czech Repub-lic, while belonging to the service sector. It is significant because of its impact on the labor market, businesses, transport, environment, etc. The performance of this sector is dependent on external factors -- the situation abroad, natural disasters, political situation. This work deals with the impact of the economic crisis in the tourism sector in the country. This thesis aims to verify and quantify the impact of the economic depression on tourism in the Czech Republic and predict possible future developments in this area. First the definition of tourism. It is then observed the development of tourism at a time in the Czech Republic and describes signifi-cant factors affecting tourism. The following is an estimate of the individual mo-dels, which are studied classical regression model assumptions. On select models, predictions are made for future development and compiled confidence intervals.

This diploma thesis deals with the effects of the global economic and financial crisis on undertakings for collective investment. The theoretical part is devoted to current legislation governing collective investment undertakings for collective investment and typology of individual funds. This part is followed by the definition of the crisis and its different periods, including the impact on the world as well as the Czech economy. In the first part of the practical part is an analysis of the volume of the Funds based on the development of major macro indicators. The second part is an analysis of several selected mutual funds of Raiffeisen banks, managed by Raiffeisen Capital Management.

The diploma thesis deals with the impact of the economic crisis in the retail sector in the Czech Republic during the years from 2000 to 2013. The aim of this work is to verify and followers finds an eventual impact of the economic crisis on selected indicators in retailing. The analysis is focus on total sales, employment and average monthly wage in the retail sector. The predictions of future development variables for the next two years are made for adequate models. The conclusion summarizes the main results of the work and for making appropriate recommendations for the development of this sector.

PALIČKOVÁ, Eva. Impact of Financial and Economic Crisis on Spain: Regional Aspects Brno, 2014. 117 p. Diploma thesis. Mendel University in Brno. Thesis deals with impact of financial and economic crisis on all seventeen regions and two cities in Spain. The main purpose of the thesis is to find out, whether the crisis influenced the development of convergence or divergence between Spanish regions. First of all the complete overview of economic development on basis of the most important macroeconomic indicators during ten-year period for each region was done. Afterwards, the statistical method, Cluster analysis, was performed for two different time periods dividing crisis period, which facilitated diagrams capturing regional grouping and their movements during different crisis period. Additionally, the Beta-convergence analysis was performed. Also the Beta-convergence analysis was run in three different time periods, which results revealed nicely the evolution of convergence and divergence be-tween Spanish regions during last ten-years marked by crisis situation.
