This thesis analyses possibilities of currency crises prediction in several countries of Central and Eastern Europe region. The thesis is structured into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part generally describes currency crises, its importance and includes concrete cases of currency crises. There are also stated possibilities of currency crises prediction and usable indicators. Practical part of the thesis identifies currency crises among countries of the referenced region. Identification of currency crises is made on base of simple currency approach and also on base of Market Pressure Indices, more comprehensive method. Then risk of currency crises inception is analyzed according to method of International Monetary Fund and by using Signal approach. Last section of the practical part analyses influence of capital market on domestic currency and potential of capital market for currency crises prediction.

The dissertation considers the situation of Iceland in the global economic system in context of worldwide financial crisis that affected their economy in 2008. The beginning of the thesis describes the theory of financial crises "by emphasis on the systemic model". The second part of the diploma concerns the Icelandic financial crisis and its cause and behaviour. The third section is about the effect and impact to Icelandic economy and describes stabilization measures of the government, financial help from International Monetary Fund, potential entry into the European Union and Icesave affair between Iceland, Great Britain and the Netherlands. In conclusion the Icelandic economy is compared with Irish economy during financial crisis.

The thesis firstly provides theoretical basis, defines terms and explains associations. It focuses on the company and its goals, then on the economic cycle, recession and crisis and afterwards dedicates to the human resource management and human resource activities including the approach and procedures that are typical for the time of crisis. Then the focus is on the current economic crisis and its origin in the USA, impacts on the Slovak Republic where the analyzed company is located. Afterwards the thesis provides an introduction of the analyzed company and describes and analyzes the human resource management and hr activities in this company. The final part is dedicated to the complex evaluation of the hr area in this firm and of the approach and changes that were implemented as a reaction to the situation caused by the crisis. The thesis also suggests and recommends some steps and changes, that could help the company improve its situation.

77 Abstract Economic and Legal Aspects of Corporate Governance with regard to the Impacts of the Financial Crisis in 2007 - 2009 This thesis deals with the impact of the financial crisis that occured from 2007 to 2009 on corporate governance of the United States, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, the OECD and the European Union. Even before the financial crisis, companies like Enron or WorldCom has already shown the need to regulate corporate governance but the responses to those bancrupts have not been sufficient because they could not prevent the financial crisis a few years later. The financial crisis is regarded as well as a crisis of corporate governance and the aim of this work is to analyze this crisis and its solution. The thesis is divided into 8 chapters, where the first chapter briefly gives definitions introduces the issues of corporate governance and the second chapter briefly describes the causes and course of the financial crisis. The next chapters deal with the impact of the crisis on corporate governance where the main topics addressed are compensation, risk management, practices and responsibilities of the board and the role of shareholders. Podniková krize je období v životě podniku, které leží stranou hlavního zájmu podnikových ekonomů. Přitom právě ona může být pro podnik výrazným impulsem, který povede k jeho zefektivnění a rostoucí konkurenceschopnosti. Disertační práce se zabývá deskripcí krize jako takové a následným rozpracováním jednotlivých podnikových činností v krizi. Důraz klade zejména na popis cyklu krize, dále na krizovou komunikaci, krizové finanční řízení, řízení lidských zdrojů a krizový management.

Cílem práce je analýza kurzové politiky, její vliv a působení na ekonomický vývoj země. Nejdříve je definována kurzová politika obecně a jsou charakterizovány jednotlivé systémy měnových kurzů. Následně je popsán vývoj československé a české koruny a je analyzována kurzová politika České republiky. Poslední část je zaměřena na integraci České republiky do eurozóny.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou současné politické a ekonomické situace v Argentině a České republice, historií a současností vzájemných politických a ekonomických vztahů těchto zemí a snaží se nalézt oblasti, kde by spolu tyto země mohly perspektivně spolupracovat. Na závěr je v práci sestavena právě SWOT analýza pro vzájemnou kooperaci České republiky a Argentiny na poli obchodní výměny a podnikání subjektů z ČR v Argentině.

The thesis deals with the economic development of Ireland from the half of the 19th century till now. The main focus is on the development in 90's when Ireland experienced the economic boom. The main aim of the thesis is to find and analyse the causes of the boom. The favourable development passed with the end of the lending boom and the conjuncture on the real estate market. Now Ireland has to deal with the crisis which had a negative effect on the economy.
