Objektivizace vybraných rehabilitačních metod na vliv svalového napětí / Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tonePavelková, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
Master's thesis topic: Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tone Author: Bc. Zuzana Pavelková Branch of study: TVS_B Disertation Tutor: PhDr. Petr Šifta, Ph.D. Year of Defense: 2012 Abstract: The aim of this study was to discover, whether four selected rehabillitation techniques (dry-needling application, cryotherapy, stretching and kinesiotaping) influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. It was assumed, that above mentioned methods decrease the muscle tone of selected muscles, that was increased by previous running performance or owing to acute or chronic problems with Achilles tendon. The muscle tone was measured by myotonometer in Kinesiology laboratory, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague; muscle tone of twelve students of thisfaculty was measured. Data were displayed by using an analog- digital convertor and consequently evaluated. The results of this study indicate, that four selected rehabillitation methods influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. The muscle tone was best influenced by application of dry-needling and by kinesiotaping; results of muscle tone measurement after dry-needling application and kinesiotaping confirmed above stated...

Léčebné a regenerační účinky kryoterapie u generace 50+ / Therapeutic and Regenerative Effects of Cryotherapy on the 50+ generationSOSNOVÁ, Eva January 2017 (has links)
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the life style, regeneration, and relaxation with the focus on the application of cold to treat the elderly. The work explains the use of cryotherapy from both historical and scientific points of view. The aim is to introduce the method of cryotherapy as a popular method which postpones the beginning of dependency and motion impairment with people aged over 50 and thus enables them to keep active much longer. Although the 21st century medicine has reached an extraordinary success, the number of illnesses does not decrease. There is a wide variety of civilisation illnesses resulting from the wrong life style. For such illnesses drugs with frequent side effects are prescribed. The work introduces cryotherapy as one of the methods which can serve the health protection, prevention, the treatment of traumatic injuries, and the supportive therapy of different health problems with relatively no side effects.

Efektivita využití chladu při léčbě dysfunkcí pohybového aparátu / Efficiency of cold treatment of locomotive system dysfunctionsVášková, Mariana January 2013 (has links)
Title: Efficiency of cold treatment of locomotive system dysfunctions Objectives: The theoretical part should provide an overview of effects of cold on the human organism. The practical part reports a pilot study in which local cryotherapy was applied to painful areas of dysfunctional locomotive system. Methods: After measuring local painfulness using an algometer, the Cryogen 2 device was used for local cryotherapeutic treatment; after the treatment, algometer was used again. Subjective state of the patient was monitored throughout the process. Cryotherapy was applied within normal individual physiotherapeutic treatment to patients of varying age, sex, and locomotive system dysfunctions. Results: We have shown that local cryotherapy, using the Cryogen 2 device, did decrease painfulness in measured areas. Although significant differences in pain perception were found between male and female patients, the efficiency of cryotherapy did not depend on sex. Some correlation was found between treatment efficiency and age. No evidence was found for establishing that repeated application decreases pain perception measured before the next treatment. The results are influenced by a smaller sample of patients and measurements, and by inhomogeneity of patients. Key words: pain treatment, cold, local cryotherapy,...

Vliv prostředků termoterapie na posturální stabilitu měřenou pomocí přístroje NeuroCom SMART Equitest / The Effect of Thermotherapy on Postural Stability assessed via NeuroCom SMART EquitestŠupolík, Pavel January 2021 (has links)
Title: The Effect of Thermotherapy on Postural Stability assessed via NeuroCom SMART Equitest Objective: The aim of this study is ti determine whether a one-time application of positive or negative thermotherapy has a positive or negative effect on the postural stability and/or balance in a sample of healthy young adults. The tool for achieving this goal will be statistical analysis of the results of the computerized dynamic posturography before and after application of thermotherapy. And futher a comparison with the results of the control examination. Methods: In this study we have used one-time application of positive and negative thermotherapy in the form of water immersion. A total of ten women and ten men with average age 24 years (sd = 2,18), average height 174,45 centimeters (sd = 7,72) and average weight 78,10 kilograms (sd = 18,10) took part in our study. We assessed postural stability via the NeuroCom SMART Equitest test battery. The assessment was carried out without the use of head tracker accessory. We tested each participant three times in three different days. During each day one condition was applied. Conditions consisted of positive thermotherapy (temperature of 40 řC), cryotherapy (temperature of 4 řC) and control condition. Within each session two examination were made, divided...
