Cena volatility finančních proměnných / Price of Volatility of Financials Assets

Gříšek, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis describes problem of change-points in volatility of the time-series and their impact on price of nancial assets. Those change-points are estimated by using statistical methods and tests. Change-point estimation was tested on simulated datas and real world driven datas. Simulation helped to discover signi cant characteristics of change-point test, those data were simulated with using stochastic calculus. Google share prices and prices of call options were chosen to analyse impact of volatility change on those prices. Also implied volatility and its impact to call option price was analysed.

Gavrilova, Iva January 2018 (has links)
INTERNATIONAL SALES DISPUTE RESOLUTION ABSTRACT This dissertation deals with judicial resolution of disputes arising from cross-border commercial relationships, more precisely from international sales contract as their common representative. The introduction defines the term of international sales contract (chapter one) and the process of its formation (chapter two) under the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods ("CISG"). It addresses inter alia the gap filling of the CISG, uniform interpretation or commercial usages. Some comparative notes are also provided. Further, it examines a phenomenon called "battle of forms" that often occurs in practice when dealing with standard terms and conditions. The focal point of the thesis is the rules of jurisdiction set out in the Brussels I Regulation Recast ("Regulation") which are analysed from the perspective of an international commercial relationship. The emphasis is on the prorogation of jurisdiction under the Regulation. The third chapter deals with the territorial, temporal and material scope of application of the Regulation, as well as with its autonomous interpretation. The crucial part of the theory is devoted to economic theories causing currency movements. In conclusion of the theoretical part attention is also given to econometric methods and statistics time series analysis. The analytical part of the thesis examines the short and long term relationships of purchasing power parity, the theory of parity of interest rates and monetary approach to the exchange rate for the currency pair EUR / USD. A regression analysis is used for investigating short-term relationships, and is applied to the relative changes in the value of the currency pair EUR / USD and the changes in the relative values of the theory of exchange rate determination. The long-term equilibrium relationship is analyzed by using a cointegration analysis, specifically the Engle-Granger and Johansen tests. The estimated results are evaluated and discussed in the final part of the thesis.

Hejzlarová, Anna January 2015 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the description of the purchasing power parity theory and the theory of the interest rate as the fundamental aspects of exchange rate movements. A large part is devoted to the problems of equilibrium exchange rates and associated anomalies that these equilibrium rates are largely affected. The aim is to highlight the pros and cons of these theories and their practical use in nowadays world. Incomplete validity of purchasing power parity is analyzed by using available data which also leads to examine the presence of deviation from the equilibirum value. These anomalies are divided into economic origin anomalies and anomalies arising from non-market intervention. Despite the frequent critism the theory of purchasing power parity is still the most popular and frequently published theory.

Exchange Rate Modelling - Parities and Czech Crown / Modelování měnového kursu – parity a česká koruna

Mäsiarová, Jana January 2009 (has links)
The paper analyses validity of main exchange rate theories in case of the Czech crown. Investigated relationships comprise purchasing power parity, interest rate parity and real interest monetary model. Technical part of the analysis involves cointegration, namely Johansen's method based on vector autoregressive models. Two currency pairs are in the focus: CZK/EUR and CZK/USD. Empirical calculations did not prove the absolute validity of the theories but pointed out to other factors of exchange rate, such as convergence process, impacts on inflation targeting decisions, non-monetarist determinants and the recent financial crisis.
