Implementace výuky výchovy ke zdraví do školního kurikula a realizace tématu výživa v praxi druhého stupně základních škol / Implementation of health education in the school curriculum and implementation in practice of the second grade at elementary school

This Implementation of health education in the school curriculum and implementation in practice of the second grade at elementary school offers an overview of the advancements in Health Education and its application in practice. The first chapter also presents reasons for teaching. Health Education in today's society and gives the Czech Republic's attitude toward this field in an international context. It summarizes statistical data about the current state of health of the Czech population and mentions legislation regarding this field. Results of research among the directors of elementary schools in Central Bohemian region in 2015 are presented. These results are compared with the results of research made by Czech School Inspectorate in 2006, which surveyed the implementation of the Health Education in schools. The data obtained from this research enabled the evaluation of developments in the field of Health Education and its practical application in school curriculums between 2006 and 2015. It provides information about the transition in attitude of directors to this subject. This thesis also focuses one of the subtopics in Health Education - Nutrition. A research survey found, that implementation of some selected Nutrition topics in classes at the secondary level at elementary schools is insufficient.

Připravenost finského vzdělávacího systému na kurikulární reformu / Preparedness of Finnish Education System to Curricula Reform

This thesis introduces a topic of current educational reform in Finland. The main goal is to describe a process of implementation of current curricula reform in Finland and evaluate a preparedness of teachers, students of teacher education and management of curricula to curricula reform. In theoretical part, we define "curriculum" and "curriculum reform", then we briefly introduce change management, reasons for successful or unsuccessful reform and specifics of finnish education system. The research part analyses the Finnish National Core Curriculum from 2004 and 2014 in detail. It also analyses interview with teachers, students of teacher education and management of reform. Based on research part of the thesis, we can say that teachers and students have been prepared in a field of knowledge, however they have not been prepared for implementing the ideas of reform into their everyday teaching. The management of reform has been prepared for implementation. Management includes teacher and other stakeholders into creating of the new curricula, the reform is communicated and finances for the reform are secured. Conclusion of the thesis summerize answers for research questions and brings recommendations for a further research.

The practical part consists of analysis of Czech and Belgian textbooks according to the criterions. Attitudes and opinions of Czech and Belgian teachers are written there. It includes the observation of social science classes, too.

The aim of this thesis is to identify differences among Mathematics textbooks and to find out how they work in real education process. This research will provide information whether such textbooks are actually used by Maths teachers, and if so, then in what manner and how effectively. This will be viewed from the perspective of a teacher-beginner who searches for the most appropriate textbook for Mathematics lessons. Another goal is to introduce the offer of various Maths textbooks for the 2nd stage of basic schools. Also, there is a research performed that could compare these books, especially books published by Prometheus, Fraus and H-mat. Results of the research will be then used for lesson plans of a beginning teacher.

The diploma thesis is focused on interpersonal relations in curriculum at chosen primary school. Both formal and informal curriculum of the lower secondary school are studied here and also the integration of the interpersonal issues. The social psychology importance in the influence of the social background issue on upbringing and education of children is described in theoretical part of this thesis, just as the application of the social psychology in pedagogy for understanding children and adolescents in their pupils' social circumstanced, integration of the interpersonal issues in the teaching document - curriculum, chosen primary schools and term definition in the form of literary research. Practical part is divides into two sections. The first section includes quantitative research accomplished among teachers and pupils at lower secondary school by the qualitative method, in which teachers and pupils answer questions. The questionnaires survey the point of view from both sides of teachers and pupils and mutual interaction. Teachers and pupils assess everybody they meet daily. The second section includes qualitative research in the form of structural interviews with five school representatives - a pupil, a teacher, a cleaning lady, a school caretaker and a female cook. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the selected strategic documents of education in the European Union, in the Czech Republic and in the Liberec region. This thesis summarizes knowledge of the development in the European area, the development of legislation and the national attitude from the point of view of strategies of education. The conclusion is based on the previous attitudes mentioned above and compared with the National Programme of Education. Relevant opinions of politicians and experts influencing the further development of the education system in the Czech Republic are presented in the thesis as well. The conclusion of this thesis is the case study of requirements of the National Programme of Education. The theses defines the frame of the National Programme of Education in the Czech Republic and suggests the possible content and related executive structure.

Práce učitelů s učebnicemi ve výuce vlastivědy / Use of social studies textbooks by primary school teachers

The diploma thesis deals with the textbooks used by teachers of national history and geography. Most of the teachers included in my research sample use textbooks mainly for preparation of their lessons, which corresponds with the researches in the Czech Republic presented in the theoretical part of this thesis. As a complementary material used for lesson planning they use the Internet. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The findings of the research and the recommendations of the professional literature related to the issue of teacher's choice of curriculum and to the role of textbooks are discussed. The research related to the lesson planning, teaching methods and types of planning for the lesson is analysed and a special attention is given to the usage of various recourses e.g. encyclopaedias and educational software used for lesson planning. One chapter deals with the theory of textbooks and with the research related to their evaluation. The last chapter of the theoretical part is focused on the concept of lesson planning in the Czech Republic and the potential of textbooks usage for teaching of given subject. The thesis is focused on the topic of healthy lifestyle of preschool-age children with the support of educational facilities in which the child is. For this reason are, in the theoretical part, introduced the concepts of health and its determinants, the ontogenesis of the children and adolescent, individual areas of healthy lifestyle and support of these areas at preschool children. The following part is dedicated to the Czech educational system and part of its curriculum focused on the health of the pupil, which is taught at kindergartens. The text is complemented by researches connected with the foreign efforts of implementation of the program of the healthy lifestyle promotion program to the facilities of preschool education. The term "inclusion in education" is also mentioned. In the practical part is the introduction of the suggested educational program focused on the basics of proper nutrition of children in kindergarten and its evaluation.

The aim of the thesis Innovative Approaches to Czech Language Curriculum at Lower Secondary School was to discover whether any innovative approaches to subject Czech language at lower secondary schools were included in their school education programme, if the answer was positive, the aim was to define which innovative approaches exactly they were. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part analyzes the general approach to curriculum and also the specific approach towards the Czech language. The thesis includes a brief history of the curricular reform, which was implemented in January 2005, and the opinions of the experts on the reform. The practical part contains the analysis of the innovative approaches towards the curriculum of the Czech language at the chosen thirteen lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. A specific interest was given to innovative approaches towards the Czech language which were in agreement with the curricular reform and with the innovative didactic approaches in general. The chosen method is a comparison and the analysis of the texts. The results indicate that the innovative approaches are present in the curricular materials at the chosen schools, specifically in the syllabus of the subject Czech language. The results...
