The study deals with Prague Jews and their free time in the period between the end of 19th century and the year 1939. It focuses on society and leisure-time activities organized by Jewish Religious Community in Prague and other oficial jewish establishments, which influenced particular societies. It means especially those, which focused on education, social work, culture, sport and scouting. The thesis shows what the particular kinds of groups were doing and what organized for their members and also for the public. The author also indicates which aspects could influence Jewish free time activities and what the Old Testament and Talmud say about some leisure-time activities. In the end, she summarizes the specifics how the Jews who lived in the first half of 20th century in Prague were spending free time and evaluates the situation with respect to religion and tradition.

This dissertation deals with self-realization and self-surpassing of individuals during the selected period of their productive age within their free time. The academic part, based on specialized literature, describes functions as well as factors of free time and its evolution from ancient time to the present. It describes middle age and its specifics from a developmental psychology point of view, it further aims to grasp the self-realization and self-surpassing keywords. The practical part addresses a research of the leisure-time-activities preferences of working middle-aged individuals, focusing on self-realization and self-surpassing.It describes methods used in a performed research, evaluates obtained data and at the conclusion summarizes the results of the research.

The aim of this thesis is the effort to improve the quality of tourism-services for handicappted persons in South-Bohemian region through the elimination of physical and mental barriers. Teoretical part of this thesis describes the situation of travelling of disabled persons in the world, special conditions of tavelling and leisure-times activities for handicappted persons. Analytical part contains potentiality of South-Bohemian region in tourism, explores tourism-services offers for disabled persons. The third part contains suggestions of help for handicappted persons to intercorate them into the tourism in South {--}Bohemian region.

Thesis deals offering leisure activities for seniors in České Budějovice and their use. First, the author deals with basic concepts of the topic, defines terms of age and aging and discusses the problems that this entails. She also describes the social aspects and shows the negative demographic development of aging in EU countries and the Czech Republic. In the research concludes that in the sample seniors living in the Czech Budejovice is the most active group of seniors visiting the University of the Third Age, while the group home for elderly people spend their time differently from other groups, perhaps related to the fact that life in a constitutional device is specific and different

The thesis is focused on development of creativity in younger school-age children within the scope of leisure time education. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes various terms relating to creativity, various views of creativity, creativity barriers and their overcoming, and the relationship between a family and a creative child. The practical part of the thesis is focused on elaboration and implementation of a project creating the syllabi of sample lessons for younger school-age children. Following the idea of a multi-stage structure of work with children in consecutive cycles, the project is implemented in five consecutive steps allowing utilization of all opportunities offered by the particular facility and gradation of the emphasis on advancement in creative activities of children.

This diploma thesis examines whether the term of spare time can be applied on everyday situations of preschool children and if so in what sense. It finds answers to the question whether there is such term as leisure time at preschool age. It is concerned with the meaning of leisure time during preschool years. It discovers ways to optimizing leisure time at preschool age while taking into consideration the developmental peculiarities of this age. It looks for ways of interconnecting leisure time pedagogy and pre-primary pedagogy where the author sees the possibilities of cooperation due to the great flowering of leisure time activities, growing population of preschoolers and developing knowledge of evolutionary psychology.

Diante desse contexto, o desafio apresenta-se ainda maior, quando tratamos de turismo em unidades de conservação, tendo em vista que envolve um ambiente altamente sensível e comunidades em seu entorno que podem ter, no desenvolvimento dessa atividade, sua principal renda econômica. Assim, o que se propõe neste estudo é analisar a aplicabilidade e a eficiência metodológica do monitoramento que visa ao auxílio na construção da sustentabilidade do turismo, em unidades de conservação, através de um estudo de caso no Parque Estadual do Jalapão, localizado no Estado do Tocantins, Brasil. Prioriza-se a investigação de indicadores locais abordados a partir da definição estipulada pela Organização Mundial do Turismo. Os resultados alcançados demonstraram que os indicadores estudados são instrumentos a serem considerados no processo de avaliação e quantificação do turismo em um destino com semelhantes configurações ambientais, o que viabiliza a compreensão e o fortalecimento da noção de sustentabilidade. Revitalization of the former Jaselské barracks located in Brno in the area between Staňkova and Štefanikova street needs brand new project of urban structure and its functional scheme.New urban project of structure proceeds from pluses of block housing project and town houses. On the contrary it tries to eliminate its own minuses. The functional concept consists mainly of living function. This function is completed with daily life services. Because of bad noisy enviroment with public transport along Staňkova street it was necessary to replace block of flats with house for administrative and seniors or young couples. The main concept of this project is the idea to return to the living in communities. It tries to support social comunication and public life. And thus returning the desappearing local identity of the place. Project follows the aims of spacial planning policy in Brno by designing the leisure time centre for youth and public. That is the pivotal project of diploma thesis.

The thesis "The social view of the impact of epilepsy on adults" is focusing on the specification of psychosomatic factors that are influencing the life of an adult with epilepsy. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part, the disease epilepsy, diagnostic, therapy and treatment are defined, a fit of epilepsy is classified, and moreover, the first aid during the epileptic fit is described. Another part of the thesis is dedicated to description of some areas of life of the adult with epilepsy, which are bringing certain limitations to everyday life. This includes the family life and also problematic of professional life and possible job restrictions. These areas are described with regards to influences of lifestyle, medication, sleeping habits and leisure time activities on the life of a person with epilepsy. The thesis also focus on the problematic of social stigmatization, social isolation and on the list of possible psychological changes and cognitive problems of people with epilepsy, that occurs as a result of this diagnosis. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to processing of results from conducted survey. The dissertation focuses on rehabilitaion of urban space close to historic center of Brno city. One third of the area is taken by brownfields. These final goals were set: finding a new function for unused places, making a use of potential of Svitava canal and spaces in front of old buldings and creation of new urban spaces . Intervention includes creation of riverside designed for pedestrians, bike path construction, connecting area to city’s transportation system, bulding a new railway station and housing blocks with active street level and ability to walk througH area with as little obstacles as possible. Extra emphasis was placed on compactness of development, polyfunctionality and hierarchy of transpotration that respects man, his everyday life and needs. Concept reflects urban designing trends in 21st century.
