To do this, a panel was created with thirty sectors using the six editions of the lnnovation Survey (PINTEC), which covers the period from 1998 to 2014. The results showed that the amount spent on innovative activities, the acquisition of machines and equipment, the improvement in product quality, the expansion of production capacity and the innovation policy of the country through public support were the innovation indicators that generated the highest growth in sales revenue of companies. Also, the companies that declared that they had between 10% and 40% of innovative products in their total sales were those that had better operating performance. / Esta dissertação analisa os efeitos da inovação tecnológica sobre o desempenho setorial das empresas brasileiras. Para isso, foi construído um painel com trinta setores utilizando as seis edições da Pesquisa de Inovação (PINTEC), que engloba o período de 1998 a 2014. Os resultados encontrados mostraram que o montante gasto nas atividades inovativas, a aquisição de máquinas e equipamentos, a melhoria na qualidade do produto, a ampliação da capacidade produtiva e a política de inovação do país através do apoio público foram os indicadores de inovação que geraram maior crescimento da receita de vendas das empresas. Adicionalmente, as empresas que declararam ter entre 1 0% e 40% de produtos inovadores no total de suas vendas foram as que tiveram melhor desempenho operacional.
