Vliv dynamiky klimatických a stanovištních podmínek na změny početnosti a migračního chováni zimujících a migrujících vodních ptáků / Effect of climatic and environmental variables on changes in numbers and migratory behaviour of wintering and migrating waterbirds.

Adam, Matyáš January 2016 (has links)
Waterbirds with their specific habitat and food requirements varying during their annual cycle (Riffell et al. 2003; Taft and Haig 2006) are able to indicate the wetland diversity and quality due to their rapid responses on changes in environment (Delany 1999; Fernández et al. 2005; Amat and Green 2010). Remarkable land cover changes and climate warming led to significant shifts in distribution and abundance of many waterbird species across Europe in recent decades (Delany et al. 2006; Fox et al. 2010; Lehikoinen et al. 2013; Pavón-Jordán et al. 2015). To understand the dynamic of migratory birds in space and time and to assess effects of global conditions as well as local conditions of individual sites during their annual cycle there is need of international monitoring and research. Since the start of International Waterbird Census in 1967 both increasing and decreasing trends have been recorded in nearly fifty percent of waterbird species in Western Palearctic (Delany et al. 2006, Wetlands International 2016) and they consequently have affected trends in particular countries, including the Czech Republic. Wetland sites in the Czech Republic are generally situated on the edge of wintering range of most waterbird species (Gilissen et al. 2002), however the prevailing increase in abundance of waterbird species has been recorded here in recent decades (Musil et al. 2011). Though, the considerable growth of winter temperatures has not been noticed in the Czech Republic (Klein Tank et al. 2002; Musilová et al. 2009; Dušek et al. 2013), and the accessibility of the wetland sites, due to their freezing, varies year to year. Hence, we can assume that waterbirds have likely began using the alternative habitats with available food resources, i.e. cold-weather refuges, probably regardless of their conservation status (Musilová et al. 2015). Special protection areas were implemented to Czech legislation in 2004 to protect migratory birds (Birds Directive 2009/147/EC). So far there has not been tested the effectivity and impact of legislative protection on wintering waterbird species. Moreover, some previous studies indicated that SPA network do not match the species distribution pattern (López-López et al. 2007; Briggs et al. 2012; Albuquerque et al. 2013), so this issue urgently calls for scientific research. The second part of the thesis focused on Greylag Geese, whose abundance has rapidly grown across the Europe in recent decades (Madsen et al. 1999; Fox et al. 2010), and that have become ideal model species to observe their responses to habitats and climate changes as well as their reactions to human disturbance (Fox and Madsen 1997; Ramo et al. 2015). This requires appropriate knowledge of geese distribution, abundance and their behaviour. Since 1930s, when the geese started to be ringed in the Czech Republic, the ringing intensity have markedly varied and have been reflected in numbers of recoveries. In last ten years the intensity have increased (Podhrazský 2010). However, complex of the historical data until 2002 (Cepák et al. 2008) and recent data have not been analysed so far. In the light of recent shifts in wintering ranges and migration phenology of many goose populations these analyses require increased attention. Furthermore, the satellite monitoring of geese is coming to detect more detailed information about behaviour of individuals.

The study of the recreational use of El Bierzo (Spain)

Fernandez Arias, Pablo January 2016 (has links)
The main idea of this study is to develop various industries that have this area as well as having a vision of global set both politically Bierzo, economically and socially, in order to implant companies in different sectors later cited with an environmental and landscaping protecion for improvement and enjoyment of all residents and visitors to this area and to protect the different ecosystems, vegetation and wildlife threatened by various industries that can destroy large areas of natural interest. All this is justified by the need to advance a direcion to protect the environment and allow a rural development according to environmental protecion implemented by the various European, Spanish and regional policies for their impact as small as possible. At first discussed in which the climate, geology, hydrology of the area, also the historical-social answer was analyzed and an analysis of the forestry sector, finally has developed an inventory of vegetation and wildlife analyzed It exists in this region. The purpose of this analysis and inventory has been developing and publishing the different conclusions and results that can be read later.

Pernata divljač kao deo lovno-turističke ponude Vojvodine / Game birds in Vojvodina as a part of hunting-touristic offer

Ristić Zoran 18 June 2004 (has links)

Lovačke organizacije su zbog nedostatka lovnog turizma ostale bez značajnijih sredstava a time i mnogo manje ulagale u lovišta.
/
Most of the countries with conditions for tourism development are supporting bringing as much tourists as possible. Foreign hunting tourism began to develop in Vojvodina, mostly to game birds, at the end of the 50s and the beginning of the 60s and reached its peak between the end of the 70s and the beginning of the 90s. In the period between the beginning of the 60s and the end of the 80s, hunting tourism have noted, apart of increase of foreign tourists number, an increased catch of game birds. But after beginning of 90s number of tourists had decreased due to well-known reasons. Hunters organizations were left without significant resources and consequently invested less in the hunting grounds. Hunters' organizations in Vojvodina have been in hunting tourism for more than 40 years. From pioneers in this business, the "Lovoturs" must be mentioned, as organization being present in hunting tourism for over 40 years. "Lovoturs" is considered a pioneer in development of hunting tourism in Vojvodina, especially on game birds and a specialized house with considerable results in this field. This work is a contribution to contemporary investigation in a field of hunting tourism in Vojvodina and in the whole country. The main reason is that one of the Republic of Serbia's strategic directions of development is aimed at tourist economy, and in Vojvodina the hunting tourism is most important part of it. Vojvodina has potentials encouraging hunting-touristic offer intensively from the end of the '60s to the end of the '80s.

Från ädelreform till LOV : En analys av New Public Management i svensk äldrevård / From "ädelreform" to "LOV" : An analysis of New Public Management in Swedish elderly care

Nilsson, Ebba January 2021 (has links)
This thesis analyzes two bills that has led to two of the most extensive health care reforms in Sweden over the last thirty years by using a descriptive idea analysis. The purpose of the thesis is to explore traces of New Public Management in the bills, through the characteristics decentralization, marketization and customer orientation. Results show that traces of New Public Management can be found in both bills, although in various ways. The bill produced in the 1990’s show evidence of decentralization, while the bill produced in the 2010’s show evidence of marketization and customer orientation.

Právní úprava myslivosti / Legal regulation of hunting management

Čech, Jan January 2021 (has links)
75 Abstract This diploma thesis deals with Legal Adjustment of Gamekeeping. Gamekeeping is perceived not only as a hobby, but it is a phenomenon which became a lifestyle of many people. The main purpose of hunting is to protect and maintain freely living game for the future generations but at the same time ensure the environment protection. According to the importance of the environment protection and the game there is no doubt, that this issue requires its own legal adjustment. The adjustment has evolved over years and these days it is influenced by the globalization, membership in multinational communities and organizations and many others. In the introduction the term Gamekeeping is presented together with the reasons which make this topic current. In the first chapter the history of hunting is analysed heading towards the development of gamekeeping including the role of poaching during over the years. The second chapter is an important part of the thesis, it processes sources of the gamekeeping legislation. The international legislation related to many international contracts focused on component aspects of the environment protection is mentioned first. It is also necessary to deal with the legislation of the European Union, of which the Czech Republic is a member, in which the legislation is included...

Zákon o myslivosti jako prostředek ochrany životního prostředí / Hunting law as a tool for environmental protection

Sehnalová, Jana January 2021 (has links)
Hunting law as a tool for environmental protection In the scope of three main chapters, introduction and conclusion, the thesis attempts to capture the relationship between the Czech hunting legislation and nature conservation. The question is whether we can consider the current concept of the Hunting Act (449/2001 Sb.) as one of the tools of environmental protection. For the elaboration I based the research, among other things, on my personal experience with pro-landscape hunting in the vicinity of the village Vinaře, Central Bohemia. Furthermore, I elaborated on interesting cases of judicial and administrative practice and, last but not least, I took into account the relevant legal norms and appropriate literature or professional texts. The first chapter deals in more detail with the very concept of hunting, including various interpretations and therefore also meanings. The second part of the first chapter describes - rather briefly - the history of hunting predominantly in the Czech territory. In this context, greater emphasis is placed primarily on the first signs of nature protection. The next chapter follows the very essence of the monography, namely the role of hunting in environmental protection. I pay special attention to the hunting ground and game in this regard. One of the separate...

From Promise to Practise : A Quantitative Investigation on the Implementation of the Act on System of Choice (LOV) and Care Quality, User Empowerment, and Costs in Swedish Homecare

Huanuco Rios, Julia Lucero January 2023 (has links)
In the wake of the New Public Management (NPM) era, the Act on System of Choice (LOV) was introduced in 2009. While implementation was voluntary, over 152 of the 290 municipalities had implemented LOV by 2022. The new act promised improvements in which care quality, user empowerment, and cost-efficiency were almost ensured. However, despite its large implementation, little research has focused on evaluating the policy's outcome and the extent to which LOV fulfilled its three main objectives. In addressing this knowledge gap, this study positions LOV into the theory of choice and public administration, presenting a revisited mechanism. The study then sets out to understand whether LOV has increased care quality, user empowerment, and cost through regression analysis and interaction effects. Results from the study point towards the inability of LOV to fully deliver on its promises when the elderly population in a municipality is high.

Sledování sezonality v zubním cementu zvířat a využití této metody v archeologii / Research of seasonality in the animal dental cement and the use of this method in archaeology

POŘÁDKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2017 (has links)
In the Diploma thesis called "Research of seasonality in the animal dental cement and the use of this method in archaeology", I devote myself to one of the most reliable methods for determining the age cementochronology, or the analysis of increments of the dental cement. By using the method, it is possible to relatively accurately evaluate the age of an individual and to determine the death season, and thus we penetrate deeper not only to problems of palaeoecological conditions of archaeological situations, but also to economical-social relationships of then populations. Cementochronology also allows trace hunting and settlement strategies, i. e. when and for a what purpose the specific site was settled. The Diploma thesis summerizes previous knowledge about the method and compares it with the results obtained by the analysis of increments of the dental cement, which was applied on referential zoological and archaeozoological material.

Lov tuleňů v Arktidě: Porovnání rozdílných pohledů na Evropskou regulaci 1007/2009 / Seal Hunting in the Canadian Arctic:Conflicting Perspectives on EU Regulation 1007/2009

Jírová, Anna January 2019 (has links)
On September 16, 2009 the European parliament adopted a Regulation (EC) 1007/2009 prohibiting the seal products from being imported and placed on the European Union market. Adoption of a Seal trade ban was a result of an effective anti-sealing lobby and increasing public concern over the perceivably cruel seal hunting methods that emerged in reaction to growing popularity of seal fur in early 2000s. Even though the Seal ban includes an exception for Inuit who hunt seals traditionally for subsistence and depend on monetary income to maintain their traditions, it proved to be highly ineffective as the demand for all seal products declined dramatically, threatening Inuit way of life in the process. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the key actors involved in the conflict, specifically the Inuit, the European Union, animal welfare NGOs and the Canadian government and to contextualize and analyze the specific narratives of the seal hunting discourse and their implications. By looking at the motivation and justification of the EU Seal ban as well as the implications of the different perspectives on the issue, this research will try to test the hypothesis that the seal hunting discourse is based on a colonial mindset and that decolonization of the mind is yet to be achieved by Western society.
