Nasir, Ufra, Riaz, Adil January 2016 (has links)
Aim: The aim of our research is to explore and narrate the post-merger effects on employees' motivation and effective managerial role for the motivation management in the staff in Post-Merger Phase. Methodology: The research is qualitative and covers both, the managerial and employees’ approach through application of Herzberg (1966) motivational theory to assess certain changes in employees’ motivation level during the Post-Merger phase. Primary data is sourced from face to face interviews of respondents and narrated in empirical findings. Analysis and conclusion are derived on the basis of the State of Art theories. Conclusion: Merger affects the employees’ motivations by ignoring their motivational factors, communication and information sharing management. Managerial role is important to answer the employees’ job insecurities and maintain the level of their motivation effectively. Optimum employees-organization relationship can be secured through effective information and communication management for the success of corporate objectives and employees’ satisfaction. Contribution: The research greatly contributes towards knowledge in management studies and relevant information is useful for business management students, managers, and Merger implementing management about certain aspects of consequential organizational changes and motivational factors of the workforce. The repeated research to periodically observe the staff's motivation and effective managerial implements can enhance in-depth knowledge of potential effective remedies especially for new and possibly merging organizations. Through such kind of research works, Merger failure rate can be reduced and overcome gradually that result due to employee’s diminishing motivations at workplace and management's’ failure to take cognizance of Post-Merger changes in employee’s behaviour

Managerial strategies and entrepreneurial thinking within Non-Government Organizations : A model for lokal NGOs capacity development in developing self-sustain projects in East Africa

Jumbe, Hatibu Shabani, Isaac, Ampong January 2018 (has links)
In several countries, the contributions of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in promoting the livelihood of the communities can clearly be identified. As a matter of fact, international development agencies increase their trust to NGOs in running development projects because they have proven capable of running these projects at a lower cost while reaching the huge number of poor communities. However, several factors have influenced the development of NGOs had little participation, contribution, and impact in undertaking the more structurally-entrenched causes and indicators of poverty. In addition, in most of the countries in Africa, local NGOs are weak with regards to the implementation of development projects. Consequently, there are ongoing questions towards these challenges faced by NGOs, especially at the local level. Most of the research focus on the external factors such as corruption, political instability, climatic unreliability, inadequate resources as the main reasons for less performance of the projects. Additionally, other researchers pinpoint the issue of upward accountability from sponsors and donors, but still they do not tell us the full story, therefore, realizing the gap of internal factors that have been overlooked by many researchers in the successful implementation of projects in Africa. This research seeks to explore the concept of leadership within local NGOs that conduct Economic Empowerment Projects, in East Africa. Through the qualitative study, our research findings would be analyzed to provide an insight to management team on how managerial and entrepreneurial thinking may influence the performance of the community development projects. In this study, the capacity development model will be identified and proposed as a guideline for organizational leaders in the capacity building interventions. This would support development practitioners of NGO sector in tackling the ongoing practical challenges in developing countries. 我國行動通訊系統業者在第三代行動通訊服務市場經營策略之研究 / The Managerial Strategies of Operators in 3G mobile service market of Taiwan

Lu, Chien-An Unknown Date (has links)
The key issue of corporate developing and creating new area is strategic planning. Meanwhile, good strategic planning helps business clarify the viewpoint in the complex environment. Both mobile communication and Internet are mainstream of the telecommunication industry. And 3G will integrate mobility and Internet. I hope to discuss the managerial strategies of operators in the mobile service market. This research adopts 「Case Study Research」. After deciding the research theme and range, I began to gather up related references and analyze them according to research frame. Next, I deeply interviewed with top managers of seven companies. And then, my conclusions were infirmed by them. Operators, which provide all kinds of services, need a mechanism that do whole network planning and design contents and services. The operating rule is that appeal to customers, create the contents and services by revenue, adjust the module of platform to reduce the customers’ cost of transaction, and increase the efficiency of network. Most important is to do customers' services management well. The strategy to win the customers is creating value-added services, meanwhile personalized product and value. We can discuss the synergy from two dimensions: economy of core competence sharing and complementary of all businesses corporation. Operators will develop the「defense」and「attack」strategies from two dimensions. Besides, it is “Giant Game” in the mobile service market. Operators in Taiwan can stand on the local market. Next, they can increase competitive advantages and follow first tier to explore the operating boundary with Chinese content.

Their object of study, however, and that it particularizes, it relates to a portion this problematic; it relates to set of determinations that comprise a broader set of determinations of this historical process: it is a set of determinations forged and mediated by bourgeois strategies of management for the conformation of the circumstances necessary for the domination and for the conduct of labor force on operations in work processes for the production of surplus value. What we investigated are, because, the strategies of disarticulation that the bourgeoisie utilizes, under the mantle of subsidies conceptual and interventive of its management of work processes and the sieve of class struggles, to obstruct the union of workers; hamper the movements proletarians. Managerial strategies that intentionally or unintentionally, instill in the social relations of production means to produce and reproduce, activate and reactivate conditions of incitement of individualism and competition between the workers themselves. We shall see, thus, by analyzing means, centrally, from some of the fundamentals of disarticulation in the managerial strategies bourgeois and some of the fundamental strategies of management bourgeois hegemonized with the restructuring productive of 1970, that the disarticulation, and also the demobilization, is a concrete condition, is an objective condition, that is beyond a question that can be "solved" only by enlightenment cognitive, only by formation criticism intellectual. In everyday of the work spaces permeated by managerial strategies bourgeois there elements, then, operating as a material force putting difficulties important for the articulation of the workers, the solidarity of the proletariat; elements that constitute obstacle significant to an awareness of class and belonging; elements act in favor of the atomization of the worker - even if engenders, in the same process, as a contradiction, potentiality of resistance and fight the forces of labor / A problem?tica que confere contornos a esta pesquisa ? a quest?o do processo hist?rico de desmobiliza??o dos movimentos das classes trabalhadoras em seu acentuado momento contempor?neo.

Podnikatelské strategie manažerů českobudějovických tužkáren na cestě ke znárodnění 1945-1948 / Business Strategies of České Budějovice Pencil Factories Heading for Nationalization in the years 1945-1948

BOHDÁLEK, David January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis being submitted deals with the issue of applying managerial strategies and their economic impacts on the České Budějovice pencil factory within the years 1945-1948. The core sources for this analysis were mostly annual reports and operation reports, meeting minutes, statistical reports, correspondence, and sources of private nature. The thesis builds upon the methodological bases of business history. The most prominent pencil industry people of the post-war era became the main subject of the research. Based on the business strategies of these managers, the following parts of the thesis then focused on economic evolution, on which they applied both vertical and horizontal comparisons. The advertising activities of these pencil factories or the negotiations with the former subsidiaries represented by the Hardmuth family did not go unnoticed either. The key contribution of this thesis lies in its analysis of the nationalization process followed by the centralization of the Czechoslovakian pencil industry.

Implementation of Food Safety Regulations in Food Service Establishments

McAllister, Steve Randolph 01 January 2018 (has links)
Food service businesses in the United States have experienced millions of dollars in losses caused by foodborne illness outbreaks, which can lead to bankruptcy and business closures. More than 68% of all foodborne illness outbreaks occur in food service establishments. The purpose of this descriptive case study was to explore the strategies leaders of food service establishments use to implement food safety regulations. Force field analysis was the conceptual framework for this study. The population for the study consisted of 3 leaders of food service establishments located in the southeastern region of the United States. Data were collected using semistructured interviews and a review of the business policies and procedures that support compliance with critical food safety regulations. The methodological triangulation approach was used to assist in correlating the interview responses with company policies and procedures during the data analysis process. Yin's 5-step data analysis approach resulted in 3 themes: (a) organizational performance analysis for improvements in food safety, (b) strategies applied to improve food safety, and (c) stability of new strategies for food safety. The key strategies identified included adhering to the guidelines of food code and regulation, conducting employee training and awareness building, and working closely with food safety inspectors. The implications for positive social change include the potential to add knowledge to businesses, employees, and communities on the use of effective food safety strategies to minimize foodborne illnesses. Such results may lead to the improvement of service performance and long-term growth and sustainability of food service establishments.

Salvador
