Axlar och upphängning till bromsvagn : Avsedd för klimatiska tester av fordon / Axels and linkage to braking trailer : Intended for climatic testing of vehicles

Sjöström, Alexander January 2018 (has links)
Dock rekommenderas vissa fortsatta beräkningar i framtida projekt. / This degree project is one part of four in the preliminary study of the Bromsvagn project. The Bromsvagn project is intended to create a testing equipment in the form of a trailer. Our ultimate task is to test long-lasting loads of vehicles in full operation. In this thesis the design of axels and suspension will take place at the concept level. The construction takes place in the program CATIA V5, based on the manufacturing conditions provided by BAE Systems Hägglunds AB. Some components will be consumed during the life of the trailer, to which relevant subcontractors of standard components will be linked. On selected parts of the model, strength will be calculated by hand calculations and FEM-analyzes in this part of the CATIA V5 program. The modeling work considers the influence of two parallel examinations in the same project. These two degree projects deals with the design of the chassis and the design of the hydraulic system. The conclusion is that this design has the potential to cope with the intended task. The calculations indicate that the modeled parts will manage their theoretical powers without major problems. However, some calculations are recommended in future projects.

Eriksson, Erik, Eriksson, Linus January 2018 (has links)
The company Simson Power Tools in Hofors manufactures and sells hydraulic power tools. One of the company’s product is a compact hydraulic hand pump. The pump is primarily used as a power source for jacks, but can also be used for other hydraulic tools. Two tools to which the pump is used for is a wedge tool and a flange opener. These two tools are mainly used in industry, for example when replacing gaskets in flange joints. The constructions are powerful and manage to handle loads of 4 and 15 tons.   In meetings with the company it emerged that they saw potential for the wedge tool and the flange opener to be able to sell better than before. The tools together with the hand pump are flexible and easy to use in difficult environments. In order to increase the sales of the products, the company wants to lower prices but at the same time maintain, alternatively increase the quality.   The wedge tool and flange opener are currently purchased from other manufactures, which limits Simson Power Tools pricing. Because the tools are old and no patent exist, the company wants to manufacture the tools on its own, which provides opportunity to combine the tools with the company’s hand pump as well as optimize technical manufacturing and economic manufacturing.   When the customer’s desires were identified a current situation analysis was performed. The work process began by sketching up the purchased tools in Autodesk Inventor 2017 in order to create an overview of geometries and functions. Then material analyzes were performed on the tools. The purpose of analyzes was to provide a basis for decisions about material selection and machining of components surfaces as toughness, hardness and roughness which are crucial parameters for the functionality of the tools.   The project resulted in that the tools became more compact and weigh less than the purchased, especially when cylinder is integrated with the hand pump. The wedge tools plates and the upper and lower part of the flange opener which are exposed to great wear are recommended to be manufactured in Hardox 450 which has higher strength than previous design. Further work is to make tests on manufactured prototypes to check whether design changes work in real cases.   A price staircase has been developed for the manufacture of the tools components and purchase of return spring, gaskets and sliding bearing. The price staircase indicates price per tool depending on order quantities. With the price basis, the company can plan the amount of tools that should be manufactured based on manufacturing cost and customers demand.

Alternativ sammanfogning till svets på vagn / Alternative joining to welding on wagon

Oskarsson, Erik, Cicek, Ayhan January 2018 (has links)

Control Oriented Modelingof Engine Out Temperatures

Malm, Lars January 2018 (has links)
To have knowledge about the exhaust temperature is of great importance in several ways. Knowing the exhaust temperature means that it is easier to protect the catalyst and turbine from too high temperatures but it also important in controlling the turbine power. In this thesis a physically based model of the engine out temperature is developed. The model is built up by two different cylinder pressure models and one engine out temperature model. Measurements has been made using a test engine at Linköping University. These measurement has then been used to  parameterize and validate the model. Since the measurements of the engine out port temperature are not showing reasonable temperatures, the temperatures in the pipes has been used for validation. That makes the results less reliable since no heat transfer between the port and pipe are considered in the model.

Optimering av grid LED-armatur : Optimization of grid LED-armature

Nyström, Anton January 2018 (has links)
Nordic Light are one off the leading companies in manufacturing and development of lamparmatures and have been doing that since 1980. Since LED lamps are getting more and more common, the demands on optimizing thearmatures are rising. Because of the competition in the lamp industry the customers put highdemands on the efficiency and price. The purpose of this paper is to optimize an existingarmature and the focus will be on efficiency and manufacturing costs. An analysis of the existing armature was made to establish the function and cost of everycomponent. This was the foundation for the ideation of the new armature. To ensure that thenew armature would manage the requirements, a calculations of manufacturing costs and ananalysis in OpticStudio was made. The result shows a solution more cost efficiant than the original with high efficiency where itis possible to attach the armature in the roof or to profiles. It is recommended to make aprototype and to perceive with additional calculations before the manufacturing starts.

Hansson, Andreas January 2018 (has links)
Emballagefabriken manufactures packaging solutions made of wood and plywood. Low profitability prevails on the manual assembly department of the company, due to a long throughput time in the manufacture of the Plywood box. The production is performed in four steps and begins at the saw department followed by the printing department, then the cnc department and finally the assembly. The purpose of this work was to reduce the non-value-added activities that occurred in the production flow. To get an overview of the current situation, a material flow analysis was performed followed by a preliminary study that identified which activities were performed in each department. With this in mind, quantitative time studies of activities were conducted in parallel with qualitative observa-tions. Finally, all activities were classified in cooperation with production staff and production manager. The time studies resulted in a mapping of non-value-added activities, which were then analyzed. Finally, improvement proposals were put forward that the company could implement. The conclusion of the work showed that there was potential to reduce, and in some cases eliminate, non-value-adding activities.
