Kontrola bezpečnostního mechanismu přípojných vozidel / Analysis the safety mechanism of the trailers

Pantůček, Michal January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis is engaged in the analysis of a safety mechanism, which is a part of a truck trailer. This mechanism provides a safe and firm connection of a container to the trailer. Primarily abroll containers according to German standard DIN 30 722 are being transported. The introductory part of the thesis deals with the current traffic condition and the accident rate in the Czech Republic. Legislative requirements for safety elements of trailer technology for road transportation are further defined. They are followed by a recherche of industrial solutions for securing mechanisms. Consequently calculations to obtain necessary securing force were performed. An analysis of the mechanism kinematics was carried out then. A structural check of selected mechanism elements was carried out following the kinematics check. Further, an optimalization of a transom design was carried out followed by another structural check. The structural checks were carried out using both the analytical method and the finite element method. In conclusion design documentation was elaborated. This diploma thesis was elaborated in cooperation with the SVAN Chrudim s.r.o.

Ideální model resolučního mechanismu pro banky v Evropské unii / Ideal Crisis Management Mechanism for Credit Institutions and Investment Firms in the European Union

Kropjok, Vít January 2021 (has links)
Ideal Crisis Management Mechanism for Credit Institutions and Investment Firms in the European Union Abstract: The 2007-8 financial crisis brought about the most severe economic contraction since the Great Depression. Regulators on both sides of the Atlantic were taken aback and soon realized that they had no tools to deal with distressed banks and other financial services firms, failure of which could undermine financial stability not only within individual states, but also on a global scale. As a result, central banks of in particular the United States and the Eurozone became the most important actors in the fight against the unfolding crisis and de facto the only "governmental agencies" capable of swift and decisive measures. Their timely and vigorous reaction most likely warded off the collapse of the global financial system, though it was not without controversies. These controversies are analyzed in this dissertation in order to find out what role should central bank have during financial crisis. Governments followed central banks with massive bank bailouts. In many countries, governments went beyond liquidity provision and nationalized their banks, which threatened their own solvency. Although the global financial system has been largely restored in the last decade, it has been achieved at huge...

Exploring the limits of incentive compatibility and allocative efficiency in complex economic environments

Reinhardt, Markus 07 July 2014 (has links) (PDF)
In this dissertation auction formats are developed and discussed that focus on three specific economic environments. Regarding the impossibility results from mechanism design, the main task for the implementation of auction designs is to balance allocative efficiency and incentive compatibility – the main characteristics a mechanism should provide. Therefore, the dissertation investigates the limits of conceivable relaxations of allocative efficiency and incentive compatibility for complex settings such as double auctions, interdependent-valuation environments and electricity market designs. The overall aim is to carefully weigh up the advantages and disadvantages for either relaxing allocative efficiency or respectively incentive compatibility.

Efektivita kontrolních mechanismů smluv o lidských právech / Effectiveness of control mechanisms of human rights treaties

Červenková, Petra January 2015 (has links)
6 Abstract Current international law contains several treaty instruments anchoring and regulating the area of human rights. It develops at both universal level, within the United Nations, and regional level, within special regional institutions. To make international human rights treaty effective, we must ensure it includes effective control mechanism that provides an efficient protection and promotion of human rights, thus ensure that the system has a positive impact on the enjoyment of the human rights by individuals. The quality of international human rights treaty depends on the quality of its control mechanism and its existence at all. The aim of this thesis is to present the international and regional human rights treaty system and how does it actually work. On the series of predetermined criteria I will try to evaluate the activity and practices of presented human rights treaties. The main part of the thesis represents a description of human rights treaty protection through the analysis of selected international human rights treaties. International human rights treaty protection takes place at the universal level, within the United Nations human rights treaty bodies, and at the regional level. In Europe within the Council of Europe, in America within the OAS, in Africa within the AU. In relation to...

Inhibitory myší serinracemasy / Inhibitors of mouse serine racemase

Vorlová, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
Serine racemase (SR) is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-dependent enzyme responsible for biosynthesis of D-serine, a recognized neurotransmitter acting as a co-activator of N-methyl- D-aspartate (NMDA) type of glutamate receptors in the mammalian central nervous system. The hyperfunction of the mentioned receptors have been shown to be implicated in many neuropathological conditions including Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and epilepsy. To alleviate the symptoms of these diseases, several artificial blockers of NMDA receptors have been introduced into the clinical practice. However, many of these compounds cause undesirable side effects and it is thus necessary to search for either less harmful blockers or regulators of other targets of pharmaceutical intervention that are involved in NMDA receptor activation. In this context, specific inhibition of serine racemase seems to be a promising strategy for regulation of NMDA receptor overstimulation. Mouse serine racemase shares 89% identity with its human ortholog and it was also shown that both enzymes possess similar kinetic parameters and inhibitor specificity. Therefore, the mouse models can be used to search for a potent human serine racemase inhibitor. Although many different compounds for their inhibitory potency towards serine...
