Inovativní nástroj pro odstranění špatné výslovnosti hlásky „R“ / Innovative tool for removing bad pronunciation of the letter "R"Rexová, Natálie January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this final thesis is to find out about Speech Therapy and to design a device which would help with oscillation of human tongue when the sound r is pronounced. To better understand this subject first part of this thesis takes interest in evolution and physiology of human speech. Next the most common articulation disorder Dyslalia is named and methods for treating Dyslalia are described. In practical part the device for Speech Therapy is designed and created. It is based on frequency of human tongue oscillations and it helps to correct difficulties with sound r articulation. This prototype uses electric motor which is controlled by Arduino platform. Its rotational motion is converted to linear through mechanical construction simulating crank mechanism.

WTO jako vyjednávací platforma mezi USA a Brazílií / WTO as a Negotiation Forum between the USA and BrazilChmelíková, Julie January 2018 (has links)
This master's thesis is concerned with the settlement of particular WTO disputes between Brazil and the United States. The aim of the thesis is to explain the importance of the Dispute Settlement Mechanism (DSM) for Brazilian trade strategy. To demonstrate the use of the mechanism the focus is placed on two specific disputes involving the United States and Brazil. These disputes, regarding patent protection and cotton subsidies, are analyzed using case-study methodology. Moreover, quantitative research based on WTO disputes data is included in the introductory chapter. The study of the disputes shows that Brazil has been one of the most active users of the DSM and that it has initiated cases predominantly against developed countries, the United States being the most frequent target. This strategy enables Brazil to pursue cases that are likely to have systemic implications and thus could have an impact on the international trade order. The two case studies are examples of disputes of potential systemic importance. They further reveal the complexity of disputes in terms such as the increasing role of NGOs, the concept of retaliatory suits, and the significance of timing and political pressure. The exposed dynamics of the settlement of disputes is useful for understanding other WTO cases as well.

Substrátová specifita, mechanismus a regulace aktivity intramembránových proteas z rodiny rhomboidů / Substrate specificity, mechanism and activity regulation of the rhomboid family intramembrane proteasesŠkerle, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Intramembrane proteases from the rhomboid-like superfamily are enzymes widely distributed and conserved in all domains of life. They participate in many important processes such as membrane protein quality control or mitochondrial dynamics. Their activity is also linked with diseases like Parkinson's disease or cancer. This makes them potential therapeutic targets. In this work we tried to elucidate in more detail the mechanism of action of the main model intramembrane protease, GlpG from E. coli. We also focused on the mechanism of eukaryotic rhomboid RHBDL2, one of the four mammalian rhomboids, function of which is poorly understood. To acquire more detailed information about substrate-enzyme interaction, we synthesized a series of novel peptidyl-chloromethylketone inhibitors derived from natural rhomboid substrate TatA from P. stuartii. Crystal structure of the complex of GlpG with these inhibitors revealed four substrate binding subsites (S1 to S4) of the enzyme and explained its observed substrate specificity structurally. This study showed that substrate cleavage rate can be dramatically modified by changing the substrate sequence in positions P1 to P5. This helped us develop fluorogenic transmembrane peptide substrates for rhomboid proteases, which are usable in detergent and liposomes, and...

Analýza vztahu tržní efektivity a transmise měnové politiky / Examining the Link between Financial Market Efficiency and Monetary Transmission MechanismKrejčí, Tadeáš January 2019 (has links)
In an effort to examine role of capital markets' efficiency in transmission of monetary policy, 28 time series of market efficiency development are estimated with use of long-term memory and fractal dimension measures and a panel of 27 inflation targeting countries is constructed to run a random effect regres- sion. The cases of Czech Republic and Austria are thereafter more closely examined with use a vector-autoregressive and threshold vector-autoregressive frameworks on macroeconomic data spanning from 1996:Q3 to 2018:Q4. The evidence obtained through the conducted analyses support the hypothesis, that a more efficiently functioning capital market better contributes to monetary policy pass-through, or conversely, that high transaction costs, barriers to cap- ital market entry, or poor information availability may hinder the effects of central bank's monetary policy. Photosynthetische Wasseroxidation: Über Liganden und Zwischenprodukte / Photosynthetic Water Oxidation:Ligands and IntermediatesClausen, Jürgen 20 August 2004 (has links)
Photosynthetic water oxidation to yield the oxygen of the atmosphere is of paramount biological and also technical relevance, in the light of decreasing fossil fuel reserves. The splitting of water into hydrogen (on carriers) and oxygen takes place in a multimeric protein called Photosystem II (PSII). The rigorous understanding of nature´s solution for this thermodynamically and mechanistically highly demanding reaction is one approach towards the construction of an artificial hydrogen technology under exploitation of almost unlimited energy sources, sunlight and an ubiquitous substrate, water. This thesis aims at two aspects: (i) Electron and proton transferring amino acids and (ii) so far undetected chemical intermediates between water and O2(i) D1-Glu189 has been claimed to be involved (a) in the proton conducting network around the Mn4Ca-cluster and (b) as a direct ligand to Mn. We exchanged the negative Glu against the positive Arg or Lys or the neutral Glu without any effect on the relaxation times (ns-ms) of the various electron transfers in PSII. Our data exclude these postulated roles of D1-Glu189 and qualify a recently published structural model.(ii) Dioxygen is produced in what seems to be a single reaction step, although it involves the transfer of four electrons from bound water to the fourfold oxidised catalytic centre. No chemical intermediate (e.g. peroxide) has been detected by high resolving optical and magnetical spectroscopy. To overcome the detection problem of short lived intermediates we pushed the process backward by elevated oxygen pressure and found the first evidence for such an intermediate. The astonishing half suppression of oxygen evolution at only 2.3 bar O2 emphasised the small driving force of this important reaction. PSII operates at the energetic limits; this is why the atmospheric oxygen level cannot be pushed much above the present level.

OPTIMALIZACE NÁVRHU FUZZY ŘÍZENÍ VZHLEDEM K ROZSAHU POHYBŮ PARALELNÍHO MECHANISMU / OPTIMIZATION OF A FUZZY CONTROL DESIGN WITH RESPECT TO A PARALLEL MECHANISM WORKSPACEAndrš, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
The Ph.D. thesis is focused on using the fuzzy logic for control of a parallel manipulator based on a Stewart platform. The proposed mechanism makes possible to simulate the physiological movements of the human body and observe degradation processes of the cord implants. Parallel manipulators such as a Stewart platform represent a completely parallel kinematic mechanism that has major differences from typical serial link robots. However, they have some drawbacks of relatively small workspace and difficult forward kinematic problems. Generally, forward kinematic of a parallel manipulators is very complicated and difficult to solve. This thesis presents a simple and efficient approach to design simulation model of forward kinematic based on Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy inference system. The control system of the parallel manipulator id based on state-space and fuzzy logic controllers. The proposed fuzzy controller uses a Sugeno type fuzzy inference system (FIS) which is derived from discrete position state-space controller with an input integrator. The controller design method is based on anfis (adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system) training routine. It utilizes a combination of the least-squares method and the backpropagation gradient descent method for training FIS membership function parameters to emulate a given training data set. The proposed fuzzy logic controllers are used for the control of a linear actuator. The capabilities of the designed control system are shown on verification experiment.

Dohled nad finančním systémem v Evropské unii / Supervision of the financial system in the European UnionŽáček, Ondřej January 2017 (has links)
1 Abstract This master thesis deals with the arrangement of the supervision of the financial system in the European Union. Its content and structure is strongly tied with two principal supervisory pillars - European System of Financial Supervision (ESFS) and Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM). The first chapter starts with the historical background of the European financial supervision and proceeds to the recent global Great recession which motivated the reforms that led to the current state of the supervisory structure. The operation of the ESFS and SSM is thoroughly explained in chapters two and three respectively, moreover I cover their interaction with national supervisory authorities and special emphasis is put on the role of the Czech National Bank. Several controversial issues are also reflected in the course of the thesis, ie. rather regulatory than supervisory role of the European supervisory authorities which contradicts the initially declared intentions, their low operability or quite illusory legislative demand of extensive independence of national representatives when they stand for their respective home authorities in the European institutions. The emphasis on the Czech Republic is evident from the sub-chapter regarding the potential entry into the close cooperation with the Single Supervisory...

THE IMPACT ANALYSIS OF THE EU-KOREA FTA ON THE CZECH SENSITIVE SECTORS WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY / The impact analysis of the EU-Korea FTA on the Czech sensitive sectors with special attention to the automotive industryBaladová, Šárka January 2010 (has links)
Strong objections appeared in the Czech Republic, especially in the automotive industry, against the EU-Korea Free Tra de Agreement right after its adoption in October 2009. There were fears that the Agreement would endanger Czech competitiveness in the European market while new opportunity for Czech exporters in the Korean market would be limited. The thesis aims to analyze the impacts of the Agreement on the Czech sensitive sectors as the author does not agree with the results of the very first Czech country specific analysis made by the Association for International Affairs (AMO) that neglects any important endangering effects of the Agreement. The crucial difference between this paper and the study made by AMO is that the author considers Czech competitiveness in the European market as a decisive criterion while AMO analysts analyze the impacts on the Czech market only. They do not consider Czech exports to the EU member states and potentially strengthening competition in the European market for Czech producers. In the thesis the sensitive sectors are defined using the data from the International Trade Centre (ITC), the Czech statistical office, and the UN COMTRADE. Hariss index is used to measure restrictiveness of the rules of origin for the very first time in the EU-Korean FTA context, the methodology of the European Commission is utilized to estimate potential savings in effect of duty drawback, and a qualitative analysis of the non-tariff barriers is applied. The author points at a decisive function of non tariff barriers that plays even more important role in terms of liberalization then tariff reduction itself. Regarding the automotive industry, the thesis shows that Czech competitiveness within heading 8703 (cars) will not be endangered in effect of the Agreement while there might be some difficulties within heading 8708 (parts & accessories for motor vehicles). The Czech Republic does not perform any revealed competitive advantage in trade of services. The arguments of Czech car makers against the Agreement about the trade within heading 8703 are not admitted. However further research is needed to analyze if the Agreement will have harmful effects on Czech competitiveness in the European market within heading 8708. The Agreement will not bring up any notable opportunity for Czech exporters in the Korean market.
