A presente Tese analisa o incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas. Trata-se de uma nova técnica de julgamento dos denominados processos de massa, instituída pelo Novo Código de Processo Civil. Inicialmente, procurou-se demonstrar o caminho trilhado pelo legislador brasileiro, por meio de sucessivas reformas ao Código de Processo Civil, no sentido de valorizar e tornar estável os precedentes dos Tribunais, em especial das Cortes de Superposição, chegando-se ao ápice de modificar, inclusive, a Constituição do Brasil, para esse fim. Também foi destacada a importância da uniformização de jurisprudência, que de certa maneira precedeu o novel instituto. Na sequência, apontou-se alguns aspectos relevantes, de ordem processual, do incidente, bem como os seus pressupostos de cabimento. Avaliou-se, ainda, um dos mais importantes efeitos que decorrem da admissibilidade do incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas, no sentido de suspender os demais processos que veiculem idêntica tese jurídica e, também, como se defendeu ao longo do estudo, que guardem similitude de ordem fática. Ademais, especificou-se o procedimento de julgamento, fulcrado, principalmente, em uma notável ampliação do contraditório, que dá margem, inclusive, a que o acórdão prolatado nessa sede possa ser impugnado, via recurso especial e/ou extraordinário. Por fim, encerra-se com a análise do precedente resultante do incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas. Explicita-se os seus efeitos, inclusive com a possibilidade de aplicação para o futuro, tendo em vista a objetivação do julgamento, voltado à definição de uma tese jurídica. No entanto, e aqui está a Tese defendida, a questão jurídica, ainda que julgada de modo abstrato, justamente para produzir efeitos mais amplos (aqui denominados expansivos), deve estar necessariamente atrelada às questões de fato que a envolvem. / La presente Tesi analizza lo incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas. Si tratta di una nuova tecnica per giudicare le azioni di massa, stabilita dal Nuovo Codice di Procedura Civile brasiliano. Inizialmente, è stato dimostrato il percorso intrapreso dal legislatore brasiliano, attraverso le successive riforme al Codice di Procedura Civile, in modo da rendere più efficace i precedenti dei tribunali, in particolare delle Corti di Superposizione. A questo fine è stata cambiata anche la Costituzione del Brasile. È stato sottolineato limportanza del precedente istituto della uniformização da jurisprudência. In seguito, abbiamo sottolineato alcuni aspetti rilevanti dellincidente, di natura processuale, così come i suoi presupposti di ammisibilità. È stato valutato uno degli effetti più importanti, in modo da sospendere gli altri processi simili, in cui sia discussa la stessa tesi giuridica, ed anche quelli simile a livello dei fatti, come è stato difeso durante questo lavoro. Inoltre, è stata identificata la procedura di giudizio dello incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas, basato soprattutto in una notevole espansione del contraddittorio. E per questa ragione, la decisione potrà essere impugnata tramite ricorso speciale e/o straordinario. Infine, si conclude con lanalisi dal precedente risultante dello incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas. Abbiamo specificato i loro effetti, compresa lipotesi di applicazione per il futuro, tenendo presente che il giudizio della questione è stato fatto in maniera oggettiva, volto a definire linterpretazione giuridica della questione. Tuttavia, siccome è stato difeso in questa tesi, la questione giuridica, anche se giudicata in modo astratto, in modo da produrre gli effetti più ampi (denominati espansivi), deve essere necessariamente collegata alle questioni di fatto coinvolte nella controversia.

Seventeenth-century England witnessed profound historical, theological, and musical changes. A king was overthrown and executed; religion was practiced fervently and disputed hotly; and English musicians fell under the influence of the Italian stile nuovo. Many devotional songs were printed, among them those which reveal influences of this style. These English-texted sacred songs for one to three solo voices with continuo--not based upon a previously- composed hymn or psalm tune—are emphasized in this dissertation. Chapter One treats definitions, past neglect of the genre by scholars, and the problem of ambiguous terminology. Chapter Two is an examination of how religion and politics affected musical life, the hiatus from liturgical music from 1644 to 1660 causing composers to contribute to the flourishing of devotional music for home worship and recreation. Different modes of seventeenth-century devotional life are discussed in Chapter Three. Chapter Four provides documentation for use of devotional music, diaries and memoirs of the period revealing the use of several publications considered in this study. Baroque musical aesthetics applied to devotional song and its raising of the affections towards God are discussed in Chapter Five. Chapter Six traces the influence of Italian monody and sacred concerto on English devotional song. The earliest compositions by an Englishman working in the stile nuovo are Henry Lawes' 1638 hymn tunes with continuo. Collections of two- and three-voice compositions by Child, the Lawes brothers, Wilson, and Porter, published from 1639 to 1657, comprise Chapter Seven, as well as early devotional works of Locke. Chapter Eight treats Restoration devotional song-- compositions for one to three voices and continuo, mostly of a more secular and dramatic style than works discussed in earlier. The outstanding English Baroque composers--Locke, Humfrey, Blow, and Purcell--are represented, and the apex of this style is found in the latest seventeenth-century publication of devotional song, Henry Playford's Harmonia sacra, (1688, 1693).

Dante Alighieri foi poeta medieval que escreveu para a mulher versos amorosos em um período de profunda misoginia. Muitas são as presenças femininas nas suas poesias da fase lírica anterior à criação da Divina Comédia. Este estudo centra com especial atenção a visão que o poeta constrói da mulher durante a sua fase experimentalista e de escambo poético com amigos da escola poética florentina, o doce estilo novo, apontando que a linguagem e a visão da mulher são construídas durante esse período e estão presentes também na composição da Comédia, em particular no Inferno, Canto V, onde figura Francesca da Rimini, e no Purgatório com Matelda. Estas mulheres fazem com que o poeta recorde os pressupostos da escola poética fundada com seus jovens amigos. / Dante Alighieri was a medieval poet who wrote his lines to the woman living during a very deeply misosynist age. There is a lot of feminine presence in his juvenile lyric poetry´s creation, before the Divina Commedia. This work focuses especial attention to the construction of the role playing of the women during his exprementalist fase with his florentines youthful friends of dolce stil nuovo, pointing for the language and the representations of women continuous presents in his magnum opus, showing that language as the vision of the women, both contructed during this period, presents on the Cantic V, Inferno, with Francesca da Rimini and, on the Purgatorio with Matelda. This woman brings the memories of the beginning of Dante´s school founded with his friends.

Il tema della tesi è il legame tra potere e mobilità ai vertici della scala sociale. Il campione della ricerca è costituito da oltre duecento intervistati - tra cui top manager di multinazionali, artisti internazionali e accademici globali, esponenti della proprietà ed eredi di grandi fortune basati principalmente in una delle tre città in cui si è svolto il lavoro empirico - Milano, Parigi, Londra. Dalla comparazione dei planning di mobilità e della time schedule dei diversi gruppi sociali, emergono forme di mobilità internazionale diverse - e relative strutture di costi personali: la mobilità è contemporaneamente una risorsa e una norma che pesa, oggi, su categorie ai vertici della gerarchia professionale -, strategie di presenza su scene sociali disperse e differenziali di potere sul ritmo di altri. Tali risultati contrastano con le retoriche della letteratura manageriale attuale sulla formazione di un’élite omogenea di cittadini del mondo e forniscono indizi sulla specifica morfologia sociale correlata al capitalismo avanzato. / The topic of the thesis is the link between power and mobility on the higher levels of the social scale. The sample of the research is formed by more than two hundred of interviewees – among them are top managers in multinational companies, international artists and leading global academics, large proprietors and heirs of great fortunes mainly based in one of the three cities where the empirical analysis took place – Milan, Paris and London. Comparing the mobility plannings and the time schedules of these social groups, we show different forms of international mobility - and correlated structures of personal costs: mobility is a resource and at the same time a constriction weighting today on higher-grade professionals -, strategies for the presence on dislocated social scenes and differences in power on somebody else’s rhythm. These results contradict the rhetoric of contemporary managerial literature concerning the rise of an homogeneous elite of citizens of the world and indicate the specific social morphology in post-fordist capitalism.

This thesis is an overview of the historical context in which the church of Christ the Redeemer (Sant'Apollinare Nuovo) in Ravenna, Italy, was erected. It explores the forces responsible for shaping the church at the time of its construction and decoration in the sixth century. The basilica had gained popularity of usage as a model for the Christian Church in the West by this time. This thesis further explores the conclusions put forth by scholars that the basilica was the forum in which the transition of architectural imperial symbolism from the pagan empire to the new Christian Church took place, that the Church adopted the court ceremony of the emperor for its liturgy, and that the symbolism previously associated with the emperor was transferred to Christ resulting in the identification of the basilica as the throne hall of Christ. A study of the mosaics adorning the nave walls describes the significance of their origins and meaning.
