Reproductive behavior and its pattern in the South Kazakhstan region Abstract This study is focused on reproductive behavior issues in the South Kazakhstan region over the period from 1999 to 2010. The main objective is to contribute to the scientific cognition of reproductive attitudes, intentions and its realization among South Kazakhstani couples. The analysis is based on data collected for couples in the survey "Reproductive behavior of a family of Kazakhstan" held in the year 2007. In addition to that, trends in population development and impact of recent socio-economic changes on reproductive behavior in the selected region are studied. Differences in age, sex, ethnicity, place of residence as well as religious affiliation, educational attainment and respondents' incomes are considered in data analysis. The results of fertility decomposition method showed, that recent increase in fertility was predominantly caused by the factor of age-specific fertility rate. Factors of urban-rural difference and birth order were not significant. With regard to reproductive attitudes, intentions and its realization it was found that reproductive preferences among South Kazakhstani couples were devoted to a large family, while their reproductive intentions were focused on two-three children at most. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the topic of the endogeneity of OCA criteria with the focus on the Euro area and simulate the adoption of Euro in Czech Republic. The paper is organized as follows. Firstly the theory of the Optimal Currency Area (OCA) and the comparison of the costs and benefits of currency union are explained. In next chapter the literature review is given. The most important and most recent studies dealing with the shock asymmetry and integration, eastern enlargement of European Union and the endogeneity hypothesis are presented. In the fourth chapter the Euro adoption in Czech Republic is simulated. According to studies handling with the Euro introduction the expectations of the impact of Euro adoption in the Czech economy are presented. The fourth chapter includes the description of the data, the model and results.

Department of Surface and Plasma Science e-mail address: zdenek.nemecek@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: The interplanetary space is a unique laboratory which allows us to dis- cover (i) a behavior of the plasma under different conditions, (ii) origin of its insta- bilities, and (iii) its interaction with obstacles such as the Earth's magnetosphere. The present thesis analyzes the outer Earth's magnetosphere. The results are based on the in situ sensing by a variety of the spacecraft (e.g., IMP-8, INTERBALL-1, MAGION-4, Geotail, Cluster-II and Themis). The solar wind curently monitored by the WIND and ACE spacecraft near the La- grange point L1 affects by its dynamic pressure the Earth's magnetic field which acts as a counter-pressure and the boundary where these pressures are balanced is the magnetopause. Due to supersonic solar wind speed, the bow shock forms in front of the magnetopause and a region in between, where plasma flows around an obstacle is named the magnetosheath. The thesis is focused on the unprecedented phenomenon namelysecretory activity in female De Brazza´s monkey (Cercopithecus neglectus). The work gives a comprehensive overview of the life of monkeys. There is also a comparison with other related species of monkeys that live in similar or even identical conditions. It analyzes the olfactory and visual communication, for which it may have color and density of the discharge in the anogenital section key role. It compares discolouring outlet discharge of individual female in the experimental part.

This thesis titled The analysis of the environmental situation of the downhill ski centres in the chosen protected area is aimed at identification of downhill skiing centres in the Protected landscape area (PLA) Orlické hory and evaluation of environmental impacts of their operation. For this purpose, I firstly defined potential impacts of skiing centres on the environment and society. Afterwards, I characterized the region of Protected landscape area Orlické hory putting emphasis on natural conditions and touristic utilization of the territory. Subsequently, I described particular skiing centres and pointed out the high-risk environmental factors. The evaluation shows, that the strongest environmental impacts in the area are caused by production of artificial snow, sound system installation, or noise in general and lighting during night skiing. Further impacts are caused by additional activities in the centres. With the skiing centres is also connected development of tourism in the PLA Orlické hory, which has impacts on the environment as well.

Aim of this thesis is to theoretically and empirically survey the territory of activity of the local action groups (MAS), MAS Šumavsko, z. s. and MAS Třeboňsko o. p. s., and on the basis of the gained information to testify or disprove possibility of sustainability of their existence just in the rural areas. The thesis focuses on evaluation of activities of the local action groups and on solutions which would aim at maintaining of activity of the local action group, making innovation faster even overall development of the solved region.

The diploma thesis is focused on the Protected Landscape Areas in the Czech Republic and on the limitations resulting from the statute of conservation. The existence of protected areas is often seen as a barrier to any development of the area by public and stakeholders, as is evidenced by resistance to declaration of PLA Soutok. Thesis deals with verification of the arguments that have been raised during negotiations on the declaration of a protected area near to the confluence of the Morava and Thaya rivers. These objections were verified mainly based on interviews with representatives of municipalities, which are located in already existing protected areas, the managers of the PLA administrations, representatives of forest managers and with the help of a questionnaire survey in the affected municipalities. Through a few questions, it was investigated whether the nature and landscape conservation really means certain restrictions, or whether it is merely a relic handed down.

The subject of this diploma thesis is a municipal enterprise performances evaluation. In the introduction part of the thesis there is a literary research aimed on an explanation of the cooperation between public and private sector importance and the description of financial analysis with emphasis on municipal entities distinctions requiring modifications. In the application part both general and specific evaluating methods are applied on particular municipal company operating in the waste disposal field - Technické služby Třeboň, s.r.o. Secondary aim of the thesis is to suggest to company management some improving precautions in order to save public funds and use them more wisely. Performances are compared among business municipal companies and funded organization in this field, moreover there are also described differences between these legal forms.

The subject of this diploma thesis was the research of vegetation at localities in the Protected Landscape Area Bohemian Paradise. There were choosen areas: Natural Monument Podloučky and Protected Area Fialník, where grows an orchid Gymnadenia conopsea subsp. montana. There were made 60 phytocenological samples, and described: biotop, altitude, slope, huminidy and exposure. There were found four orchid species in the localities. Phytocenological samples were compared with each other. It has been shown that differences between localities are greater than the differences between orchid and non-orchid samples. Significant differences were also found in comparing the coverage in the floor between locations and abundace of species in each floor.
