: En användarundersökning på Lidköpings biblioteks barnavdelning / A space for meetings, creating, inspiration and learning? : A user study at the children’s section at the public library of Lidköping

Arnälv, Emma, Magnusson, Kajsa January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to seek knowledge about how children and their parents use the children’s section in a newly built library, and what function it has for its users. We also want to seek knowledge about how the children’s section is seen as a meeting place by the parents. Our research questions are: How is the children’s section at the public library of Lidköping being used as a meeting space, performative space, inspiration space and learning space? What are the functions of the children's section at the public library of Lidköping for families with children? Do the parents see the children’s section as a meeting place, then in which way?The theoretical approach is based on The Four Space Model by Henrik Jochumsen, Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen and Dorte Skot-Hansen. We used qualitative interviews and non-participant observations to answer our questions. The results show that the library is mostly being used for reading, playing and to consort within the family. The children’s section functions as an entrance to books and reading, and it also has a function as a place where you spend time with your family. We discovered that half of the parents in our study did see the children’s section as a meeting place because they thought it is a good place to meet and consort.

Ottosson, Josefine, Persson, Christina January 2020 (has links)
Background: Adherence to hand hygiene routines is one of the most important factors for preventing health care related infections. Aim: The purpose of this literature study was to compile the adherence to hand hygiene routines among healthcare professionals. Method: The method that was used was a literature review with the aim to compile scientific literature with quantitative approach. The literature review compiled the results from ten observational studies. The PICO model was used as a tool for designing the purpose and developing the key concepts. The key concepts that emerged were health care professionals, observational studies, hand hygiene opportunities and adherence to hand hygiene routines.A modified template from SBU was chosen for the quality review of the scientific studies. The database searches were performed through PubMed and CINAHL. Content analysis was used to analyze the result of the scientific studies. Result: In the compilation of this literature review it emerged that physicians had highest adherence to hand hygiene routines (65%). It also emerged that nurses had an adherence of 58%. The nurses were the group that had the most hand hygiene opportunities (9298). The physicians had 3680 hand hygiene opportunities and the other personnel had 3931 hand hygiene opportunities with an adherence of 54%. Discussion: The result showed a relatively low adherence to hand hygiene routines from the health care professionals. Patients could end up in a risk zone of health care related infections that could have been avoided if the staff followed the directions formed for hand hygiene routines. Conclusion: A conclusion that could be drawn after the compilation of the results was that there were obvious deficiencies in the adherence to hand hygiene routines in health care professionals.
