nÃo hà / Esta pesquisa aborda a anÃlise conceitual da construÃÃo do nÃmero natural e do uso das operaÃÃes fundamentais que sÃo trabalhadas nas sÃries iniciais. A histÃria da contagem vem auxiliar a compreensÃo do surgimento do nÃmero natural juntamente com as consideraÃÃes feitas a partir da teoria dos nÃmeros especificamente os axiomas de Peano. As atividades realizadas tiveram objetivo de verificarmos na prÃtica como à trabalhado o sistema de numeraÃÃo decimal posicional e as operaÃÃes fundamentais adiÃÃo, subtraÃÃo, multiplicaÃÃo e divisÃo, e como sÃo desenvolvidas nos algoritmos por profissionais que ensinam esses conteÃdos. Essas atividades desenvolvidas compÃem um manual de orientaÃÃo sobre os conteÃdos citados acima, trabalhados a partir da manipulaÃÃo do Material Dourado utilizado como ferramenta. à um importante recurso didÃtico e, proporcionou uma visÃo concreta de algumas ideias que precisaram ser abstraÃdas. A oficina da matemÃtica foi ministrada a partir da mediaÃÃo da SequÃncia Fedathi, proporcionando discussÃes que serviram de base para nossas anÃlises. As professoras-alunas envolvidas na pesquisa tiveram a oportunidade de, alÃm do recurso didÃtico, trabalhar com outras formas de cÃlculo na aritmÃtica dos nÃmeros naturais, vivenciando inclusive a troca de experiÃncias. Buscamos uma matemÃtica que està alÃm dos algoritmos que foram explorados no intuito de identificar a compreensÃo das participantes com relaÃÃo Ãs tÃcnicas de cÃlculo das operaÃÃes como tambÃm os conceitos de cada uma delas. As epistemologias das professoras-alunas foram um dos assuntos que envolveram discussÃes durante a oficina. Os resultados deste trabalho mostraram o quanto à relevante o domÃnio do conhecimento matemÃtico pelos profissionais que ensinam matemÃtica nas sÃries iniciais. Comprovamos tambÃm por meio dos resultados que à necessÃrio o aprimoramento da prÃtica de ensino a partir de uma formaÃÃo continuada. / This research addresses the conceptual analysis of the construction of natural number and use of fundamental operations which are worked in the early grades. The history of counting comes to help the understand the emergence of the natural numbers along with considerations made from the theory of numbers, specifically the Peanoâs axioms. The activities performed had the objective to verify in practice how the positional decimal system and the fundamental operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division work, and also how the algorithms are developed by professionals who teach these contents. These activities constitute a guidance manual on the content mentioned above, worked from the manipulation of the golden material. This material was used as a tool. it is an important teaching resource, and provided an overview of some concrete ideas that needed to be abstracted. The math workshop was taught from the mediation of the Sequence Fedathi, providing discussions that formed the basis for our analyzes. Besides the teaching resource, teachers-students involved in this research had the opportunity to, work with other ways of calculating the arithmetic of natural numbers. They could also relish the exchange of experiences. We seek a kind of mathematics that is beyond the algorithms that were explored in order to identify the understanding of the participants regarding the calculation techniques as well as the concepts of each of them. Epistemology of teachers-students was one of the issues discussed during the workshop. The results of this work showed how relevant is the mastering of the mathematical knowledge by the professionals who teach mathematics in the early grades. Results also proved that it is necessary to improve teaching practice through continuing education.

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Durante anos de vivÃncia em sala de aula nos deparamos por diversas vezes com alunos que apresentam muita dificuldade de aprendizagem em matemÃtica, principalmente em operaÃÃes fundamentais envolvendo os conjuntos dos nÃmeros naturais, inteiros e racionais. Esse trabalho apresenta uma viagem pelos conjuntos numÃricos, mostrando sua construÃÃo histÃrica e por suas operaÃÃes, apresentando fatos concretos das dificuldades encontradas pelos alunos em operaÃÃes fundamentais da matemÃtica e comprovando com dados estatÃsticos que o aluno ingressa no Ensino MÃdio da EEM VirgÃlio Correia Lima sem o domÃnio das operaÃÃes fundamentais. Por Ãltimo, apresentamos argumentos que mostram os principais fatores que possibilitam nossos alunos ingressarem no Ensino MÃdio sem dominar as operaÃÃes fundamentais, entre os quais, destacamos o fato dos professores responsÃveis pela alfabetizaÃÃo matemÃtica, professores das sÃries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, nÃo serem matemÃticos; professores de matemÃtica do 6Â ao 9Â ano do Ensino Fundamental nÃo terem a formaÃÃo adequada; e a discrepÃncia entre currÃculo e carga horÃria, pois temos um currÃculo no Ensino Fundamental muito extenso para uma carga horÃria limitada. / During years of experience in the classroom we face several times with students who have great difficulty in learning mathematics, especially in key operations involving the sets of natural, integers and rational numbers. This paper presents a journey through numerical sets, showing its historical operations and construction, presenting concrete facts of the difficulties encountered by students in basic math operations and statistical data prove that the student enters high school in EEM VirgÃlio Correia Lima without the domain of fundamental operations. Finally we present arguments that show the main factors that allow our students entering the high school without mastering the fundamental operations, among which we highlight the fact that teachers responsible for mathematics literacy, teachers in early elementary school, are not mathematicians; mathematics teachers from 6th to 9th grade in elementary school does not have adequate training; and the discrepancy between curriculum and workload, because we have a curriculum in elementary school too extensive for a limited workload.

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar a construÃÃo dos nÃmeros naturais e a definiÃÃo axiomÃtica no que diz respeito Ãs quatro operaÃÃes fundamentais para alunos e professores do ensino fundamental. Para isso foi apresentado uma sequÃncia abordando inicialmente as consideraÃÃes sobre o estudo da MatemÃtica, o conceito de MatemÃtica, o saber matemÃtico e um breve histÃrico matemÃtico para se perceber como teorias e prÃticas matemÃticas foram criadas, desenvolvidas e utilizadas num contexto especÃfico de cada Ãpoca. No segundo momento foi descrita a construÃÃo dos nÃmeros naturais atravÃs dos axiomas de Peano, prosseguindo com a definiÃÃo rigorosa de cada operaÃÃo e finalizando com a relaÃÃo de ordem no conjunto dos nÃmeros naturais. / This paper aims to present the construction of the natural numbers and the axiomatic definition with respect to the four fundamental operations for students and teachers of elementary school.To this was presented a sequence initially addressing on the study of mathematics, the concept of mathematics, mathematical knowledge and a mathematical brief history to see how mathematical theories and practices are designed, developed and used in a specific context of each era. The second moment was described the construction of natural numbers through the Peano axioms, continuing with the rigorous definition of each operation and ending with the order relation in the set of natural numbers.
