The main focus of the thesis entitled Managerial skills are various areas of managerial skills which are essential for management of certain working positions and therefore necessary for efficient functioning of the whole organization. It addresses issues of the current level of managerial skills and their possible reinforcement in future. The thesis is divided into two parts.
The first part consists of theoretical sources dealing with topics such as manager´s personality profile, his or her personality features, knowledge and competences, and last but not least managerial roles and functions. The attention is mainly paid to soft managerial skills.
The second, analytical part, characterizes a chosen company and then performs analysis of the current level of employees´ managerial skills at one working position. This analysis is based on data acquired from a questionnaire research and a pen and paper interview with an employee of the organization. On the basis of foregone steps some proposals are set for strengthening the researched managerial skills in the organization. Implementation of these enhancements assumes simultaneous increase in the standards of several employees´ soft skills, which can positively influence the quality and increase of their performance and as a result improve the functioning of the whole organization.

This Thesis is focused on the managerial skills of the whole team real estate brokers in company Realitní kancelář Pubec, s.r.o. This Thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part of Thesis, the theoretical basis, explains who is the manager and his personality, managerial roles and function, management and skills in detail. There is explained also the difference between a leader and a manager.The comparison if the most important personalities´ attitudes in the area of management is located in the theoretical part of Masters´s thesis.
In the second part is characterized the chosen subject - Realitní kancelář Pubec. The survey is based on questionnaire, which is structured into four main parts (general information, importance of soft skills, soft skills self-assessmnet and opened questions), and interviewing the whole team in the company in order to gain more information and feedback. The results are also compared with theoretical assumptions which are formulated in the first part of Thesis. There are results and its evaluation of every single part of the questionnaire in the end of Thesis. Final chapter is dedicated to possibilites of future progress of management skills.

This thesis deals with the professionalization of the Czech Network of Mother Centres o.s. (civic association). The theme of professionalization in the context of civic sector organizations is a widely-discussed topic and it is up to the organization itself how it will professionalize. The Czech Network of Mother Centres o.s. is a civic umbrella association of maternity centres in the Czech Republic. The history of its establishment reflects the different stages of professionalism and efforts to improve and develop services. The first part of this thesis deals with definitions of professionalism, from which emerge three key areas: human resources, organization processes and organization transparency and communication with the external environment. In the second part of the thesis there is a study of The Czech Network of Mother Centres o.s. professionalized areas, and the reasons why it happened. The conclusion summarizes the research findings and formulates recommendations for the future direction of the Czech Network of Mother Centres o.s. The presented work is an empirical study offering an insight into the providing of addictology care in the everyday practice. In a selected Organization, I ethnographically examine how the good addictology practice is done and what, according to the participants, makes it good. That means how the Organization comes to what is good and what is not, when and in which situation is it good. Through analyses of Organization's everyday life taking place in various facilities helping people at risk of dependents and their loved ones, through documents analyses and through the way the Organization presents itself, I offer proved a support for the good practice. These are the organization's spirit, that is cultivated from the long-term care for the organization's culture and also an awareness of the constant formation of one's own path towards good and even better care. However, neither the path nor the spirit has the same face and final form. Although it stands on solid foundations, which are the organizational values (respect, openness, responsibility, relationship and cooperation) and is based on a long history and traditions, it is shaped by what every day brings to the Organization. Se parte del presupuesto de que los intereses en la valorizaci?n profesional constituyen factores fundamentales para su eclosi?n. Se recurre a un referente te?rico para sedimentar la investigaci?n emp?rica realizada a trav?s de las profesoras primarias que participaron del Movimiento; una vez que re?ne recuerdos individuales y colectivos. Se abordan las condiciones sociales, pol?ticas, econ?micas y educativas que viabilizaron el surgimiento de dicho movimiento y se delimita el intervalo temporal entre 1947 al 1951. This thesis deals with communication process among staff in a nursing home (the facility requested not to be named). It deals as well with implementing change in the structure of multidisciplinary staff meeting in the same nursing home to improve team cooperation and to fulfill Standards for Quality in Social Services. In four chapters of the theoretical part, author follows introduction to the topic of human communication and intracompany communication to determine researched domain. For the same reason author later deals with subject of teams, it's creation, leadership and team roles. Third chapter pursues topic of meetings, their benefit, types and rules how to conduct an effective meeting. Theoretical part ends with contextualization of communication process within the Standards for Quality in Social Services. Practical part contains diagnostics of communication process among staff in a nursing home that showed the need to conduct change in the structure of multidisciplinary staff meeting. The thesis presents the most commonly used theories of leadership in the organizations, as well as describes the importance of leadership in the NGO. A qualitative method of data obtaining is used in the empirical part of the thesis. The basic objective of the theoretical part of this diploma thesis is to present Rogers' Person- centred Approach (PCA) in terms of its development, theory, basic principles and potential applications out of therapeutical context, with emphasis on leadership. The first chapter is devoted to general knowledge of the PCA and in the second chapter there is a more detailed description of possible applications of the PCA in management. The basic objective of the empirical part is to verify the relationship between main necessary conditions of PCA in people management (respectively in person-centered leadership) and employees' organizational commitment. The quantitative research in the form of correlation study has been carried out on a sample of 63 respondents, employees of various organizations in various fields. Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory (BLRI) and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) were used as research methods. The results show the significant correlation between organizational commitment and measures of empathic understanding, congruence, and level of regard expressed by managers towards employees.
