Evakuace velké nemocnice / Evacuation of a Large Hospital

ŽÁČEK, Radovan January 2008 (has links)
Act no. 328/2001 of the Collection of Laws defines that, apart from others, evacuation must be planned for handling emergency situations that require an alarm of the third or spe-cial degree to be raised. Successful evacuation requires an evacuation plan be made as part of crisis preparedness plans and this project could become a template for preparing evacuation plans for emergency situations at Fakultní nemocnice (a teaching hospital) in Motol, Prague. The teaching hospital in Motol is one of the largest hospitals in central Europe. It has 2,500 beds at its disposal, 350 of which are with intensive care. The hospital has large prem-ises the heart of which consists of two monoblocks, one for children patients and the other for adult ones. The other buildings in the hospital house its technical and administrative facilities or some special departments. The set of persons in question includes all the people in danger on the premises at the time of raised evacuation. It means hospitalized patients, outpatient ones, employees, students and teachers of the 2. Lékařská fakulta UK (the Medical Faculty of Charles University) and visitors. The objective of this work is to create model templates for evacuation plans for se-lected wards as well as larger departments, including the entire hospital complex. The other objective is to verify, or refute, the hypothesis that evacuation, partial or complete, of a large hospital can be finished within 12 hours. The methodology was based on detailed data collection about each ward and bed de-partments (location, number of beds, number of staff at various time of the day etc). Another source of information was a detailed survey of the entire premises focused at finding potential evacuation routes inside as well as outside the buildings, capacity of corridors, stairways, lifts, and other important information related to evacuation. The results of the project are presented in the form of ten model evacuation plans for various individual parts as well as whole units of the hospital: 1. Evacuation of one ward of the children{\crq}s monoblock, 2. Evacuation of one wing of the children{\crq}s monoblock, 3. Entire evacuation of the children{\crq}s monoblock, 4. Evacuation of one ward of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 5. Evacuation of one floor in one communication node of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 6. Evacua-tion of one entire communication node of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 7. Entire evacuation of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 8. Evacuation of the other hospital facilities, 9. Evacuation of another pa-vilion, 10. Entire evacuation of the whole hospital. The final results show that it is not possible to have one universal evacuation plan that would include all potential situations but several plans for particular kinds of exposure and sizes of departments in danger. The hypothesis was verified for variants 1., 2., 3., 4., 5., 6., 8. and 9. but it was not verified for variants 7. and 10. Evacuation of the entire adult{\crq}s mon-oblock and evacuation of the whole hospital cannot be finished within 12 hours after alert.

Pobyt dítěte v nemocnici z pohledu doprovázející osoby / Child during the stay in a hospital from the point of view of an accompanying parent

CABAJOVÁ, Veronika January 2008 (has links)
In last two decades medicine and nursery have experienced many reforms. In-patients are regarded self-contained human beings, persons with biopsychosocial needs. The holistic approach of human reflects also in paediatrics. After 1990 family has become a part of medical and nursery process. In case of a child hospitalisation contacts of the child and his/her family are not constrainedly interrupted but on the contrary there occurs a possibility of a common stay of children and parents or other persons caring for the child. For my Diploma Thesis I chose the theme: ``Stay of a child in hospital in terms of an accompanying person.`` This thesis contains two parts, the theoretical and empirical one. The theoretical part is divided into nine chapters. The first chapter is devoted to history of common hospitalisation of a child and his/her mother, the second one describes hospitalisation of a child with an accompanying person at present. In other chapters there are described rights of a child and accompanying persons, individual development periods of a child in connection with a disease and hospitalisation, what effect do disease or pain have on the child and reaction of the child to hospitalisation. Following chapters are devoted to the nursery process at children{\crq}s department and to medical care organisation in the Czech Republic. The empirical part is focused on finding out the level of satisfaction with the nursery care for a hospitalised child in terms of an accompanying person, which was directly the objective of the Diploma Thesis. The research proceeded in form of a quantitative investigation using a questionnaire survey. To complete and perfect the information obtained I used the qualitative investigation which proceeded in form of a depth interview. In conclusion it is possible to say that all the four hypotheses proved true: the hypothesis 1 An accompanying person is satisfied with the nursery care for a child in hospital. Hypothesis 2 An accompanying person provides a positive evaluation of the approach of nurses , the hypothesis 3 An accompanying person when staying in hospital is sufficiently informed about the child patient regime and the hypothesis 4 An accompanying person is satisfied with the environment of the department. In interviews the respondents mentioned often a missing alarm system in rooms to be the biggest negative of the common stay of a child and an accompanying person in hospital, which means insufficient contact with a nurse in case of a need of an assistance. The respondents liked the most being sufficiently informed about the child patient regime. It will be possible to use the results of the Diploma Thesis for evaluation of quality of the nursery care at children` departments and for proposal of corrective measures in the relevant area, which should lead to increase of satisfaction in the area of care for a hospitalised child and accompanying person.

Filozofické možnosti otázky po osobní identitě / Philosophical possibilities of question of personal identity

Endrle, Jaroslav January 2016 (has links)
(in English): The topic of this thesis is the problem of personal identity. Its aim is to develop alternative approach to this question. To achieve this, the following course is choosen. Firstly, three most important assumptions are exposed. These assumptions steer debate about this topic in analytic philosophy and are regarded as main cause of its difficulties. These suppositions are - the ontological conception of identity, logical dissociability of mind and body and the method of thought experiment. Essential part of following thesis can be taken as proposal of technique that can overcome these assumptions and problems they cause. This attempt begins at the end of first part with development of general criticism of ontological conception of identity and with presentation of epistemic conception of identity. The second and crucial part deals with the theory of conceptual system. This theory provides a basis for alternative approach to question of personal identity. It will block the logical dissociability of criterions of personal identity - the dissociability of mind/consciousness and living body. It will also serve as fundament for epistemic conception of identity. Finaly, it is used for tracing the origin of concept "person". It will be shown that the concept of person descends from the...
