The diploma thesis concerns the use of funds of the European Union (European Social Fund, Cohesion Fund, European Regional Development Fund), especially in terms of the cross-border cooperation of the Slovak and the Czech Republic. The main goal is to investigate where these European funds are allocated, which areas are preferred to be supported in these countries by the financial assistance of the EU. To discover exact fields that need this kind of supply, it was essential to study basic strategic documents of both countries and urban patterns of the cross-border territory. The first chapter describes the structural and regional policy of the EU as a whole, gives examples of three main funds and their performance in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The second part deals with all the operational programs of both countries in connection with the three main objectives of the EU and previously remarked funds. It records the most serious economic problems and suggestions for solutions in both states as well. The third part is dedicated to dominant characteristics of the cross-border region, it describes The Program of Cross-Border Cooperation Slovak Republic-Czech Republic in the former period 2004 -- 2006 and particularly offers a detailed analysis of this program in current period. The last chapter gives instructions how to elaborate projects and it specifies all the steps needed to implementation of the projects. The end refers two examples of real projects put in practice in the cross-border region.

This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of cross-border mergers of capital companies. The first part deals with the Czech legal framework with respect to its accounting and tax aspects. The next part demonstrates an example of cross-border merger by acquisition of Czech and Slovak joint stock companies. This part describes the obligations of the companies. Based on this model example, recommendations are provided and suggestions are offered for enterprises that intend to carrying out of cross-border mergers. At the end there is a methodology of cross-border mergers.

The Czech and Slovak Republics share a great part of history, and they are also connected through their similar languages and culture. But how does the cooperation of those states look like today, when both Republics are members of the European Union, which actively supports the establishment and the development of cross-border cooperation? The subject of this thesis is to answer this question, to assess generally the cross-border cooperation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The evaluation of the current programme period 2007 -- 2013 within cross-border cooperation is done on the basis of the analysis of the collected data, whereas the prediction of the working of the future programme period 2014 -- 2020 is based mainly on a qualitative research.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of wind power plants and environmental impact assessment. The first part it describes the issue by the method of literature review. It focuses especially on the issue of wind power, the EIA process and post-project analysis. This thesis analyzes existing methodological approaches of EIA evaluation in the Czech Republic and transboundary context. The second part handles with the specific case study of post-project analysis of the wind park Strážný Vrch Nová Ves v Horách with emphasis on checking compliance with the conditions contained in the EIA review and its integration into follow-up documentation and operation of the project. The work also formulates methodological principles for EIA wind power plants in the Czech Republic and evaluating the impact of wind turbines on the environment.

This thesis deals with the topic covering social and economic development of the municipality Mikulov located in South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The introductory theoretical part defines the basic terms which are public administration, local government, and characteristics of the municipality and its respective authorities. Furthermore, it describes the regional development and also explains in detail the regional policy in the EU, and the Czech Republic. The final chapter of the theoretical part presents specific concepts of the regional development. The beginning of the practical part characterizes the nature of Mikulov including the history of the area. The crucial part of the thesis is the analysis of the current socio-economic situation of Mikulov with the focus on demographic characteristics, economic environment, labour market, civic amenities, culture, sport and leisure, tourism, transport and technical infrastructure, and environment. The conclusions derived from all these areas are summarized in the SWOT analysis. At the end, the thesis indentifies key recommendations on various areas for Mikulovs development.

The thesis ``Tourism potentials and the possibilities of their next activation in South Bohemian-Austrian and South Bohemian-German border region{\crqq} aims to describe the present situation of tourism in South Bohemian frontier area, which has been developing especially after the borders with the Republic of Austria and the Federal Republic of Germany were opened in 1989 and after the Czech Republic acceded to the European Union in 2004. The thesis focuses, as the title suggests, particularly on the potentials and the gravitation of tourist attractions and presents the possibilities of their next development in the defined region.

International law of succession focusing on European regulation The aim of my thesis is the international Law of Succession with emphasis on the European Regulation No. 650/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate on Succession. The regulation of succession will apply to succession proceedings with an international element concerning those who died after 17 August 2015. The purpose of the regulation is to simplify and expedite such proceedings within the European Union. In principle, the ruling on the entire estate of the testator should be decided in the course of a single succession proceeding in order to avoid conflicts in court judgments that could occur if the procedure was split into different countries. Furthermore, the diploma thesis deals with the concept of border determinant in international law, where habitual residence becomes increasingly important, while other borderline determinants such as domicile or nationality already lose their importance. Diploma thesis deals with analysis of legal and accounting requirements for mergers in Russia and comparison of conditions on M&A markets of Russia and the European Union. After description of essentials of M&A theory in the first part of the thesis the description of European and Russian regulations of mergers is performed. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of an example of the merger implemented in Russia.

As the time goes by, one former Czech-Slovak territory has separated, forming two independent republics and members of European union. Division of common territory by a border, however, cannot affect cultural and linguistic proximity, which can be clearly identified in cross-border regions. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the cooperation amongst six regions located near mutual border during 2007-2013 period. By the means of publicly available content, an analysis of allocation of financial resources from ERDF and national budgets is executed. The qualitative evaluation of cross-border cooperation projects is delivered by the proposal of matrix for territorial impact assessment. According to percentual fulfillment of given goals, impact on barrier effect reduction and selected projects analysis, the overall added value of cross-border cooperation between Czech and Slovak republic during 2007-2013 period is specified. Main findings are then a result of combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative indicators for the researched period.

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou fúzí dle platných českých předpisů. Každá kapitola se věnuje určité problematice : úvodní kapitoly se zabývají všeobecným úvedením do problematiky. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje oblast legislativních a procesních požadavků na provádění fúze. Další kapitoly popisují účetní a daňová úskalí, která vyvstávají v procesu fúzí. V textu je také okrajově zmíněna problematika mezinárodních účetních standardů a také teprve utvářející se oblast přeshraničních fúzí. V poslední části této práce jsou na praktickém příkladu, který vychází z praxe, demonstrovány některé z problematických oblastí rozebíraných v teoretické části této diplomové práce. Jedná se o splynutí dvou společností s vlastnickou transakcí po RD a před zápisem do OR.
