Research on Peng-hu Medical Team Participation in Community Infectious Disease Prevention Programs

The purpose of this study was to describe the reasons of Peng-hu medical team participation in infectious disease prevention program. The study discussed the awareness of importance for medical team engaged in disease prevention of community, and obstacles and intervention faced by medical team self-participation in community infectious disease prevention programs. At the end, it discussed cooperated relationships and the essential factors of public-private partnership and also provided conclusion and suggestion to perfect the abilities for medical team self-participation in community infectious disease prevention programs and to have positive functions. The purposes of this study are as follows: (1)to discuss the awareness of importance and advantages and disadvantages of medical team self-participation in community infectious disease prevention programs (2)to know the obstacles of Peng-hu medical team participation in community infectious disease prevention programs. (3)to study the cooperative relationship and essential factors of public-private partnership participation in community infectious disease prevention programs. (4)to conclude the related factors of medical team participation in community infectious disease prevention programs and to compare with the strategies for motivating community infectious disease prevention programs. This study adopted a quality perspective and in-depth interviews. In the research we use the purposive sampling which aims at medical clinic, institute of pharmacy, leaders of medical team member, directors of public healthy center and the head nurses. Besides, we also visited and asked delegates, town or city mayors, principals of school, director generals of community development association and chiefs of village for their advises on medial team who participated in community infectious disease prevention programs in Peng-hu. The conclusions are as follows: (1) it is important for medical team member to participate in community infectious disease prevention programs, because they have professional knowledge and they are at the cutting edge of disease prevention; public healthy center also has to take the responsibility for such program. However, the medical team is usually more utilitarian, so it is necessary to focus on their medical ethic program. (2) The largest benefit for the participation process is that medical team can learn from each other. (3) The obstacles for medical team to participate in infectious disease prevention programs are insufficient manpower, lack of protective equipment, and insufficient finances; therefore, they need help for these three aspects as well. (4) When medical team member promote community infectious disease prevention programs, patients who refuse to go to hospital and cover their condition will be the big obstruction for the program. (5) The understanding of infectious disease and the threat to health are both main factors to affect clinic in participating disease prevention. For public healthy center, the problems are unclear guidelines and political interventions for entire disease prevention. (6) The cross-professional corporation team has to be established and be conducted and integrated by public sector before reaching the goal of disease prevention program. According to the results given above, we suggest that supervisor of healthy care needs to direct and integrate all medical team member and other relevant sectors to organize a corporative team for disease prevention. The information of infectious disease should be announced widely and update frequently. Disease prevention program should be made compulsory in education and medical ethics should be emphasized. Moreover, Organizations without real functioning should be considered abolished for releasing more manpower in the programs.

Synen på personer med autism

Personer med autism behöver ha människor runt omkring sig som förstår dem, vilket kräver kunskap både om autism och om den specifika individen. För att kunna uppnå detta behövs ett fungerande samarbete mellan föräldrar och personal. Syftet med denna studie var att jämföra personal och föräldrars syn på personer med autism. För att undersöka detta genomfördes 10 intervjuer som analyserades med meningskoncentrering som analysmetod. Resultatet visade att föräldrar och personal betonade olika delar av störningen. Föräldrar ansåg sig ha samma syn som personal, medan personalen ansåg sig ha en annan syn än föräldrarna, något som kunde bero på att de hade olika referensgrupper i åtanke. Samarbetet ansågs kunna förbättras genom att ha fler möten. Resultaten bekräftar tidigare forskning.

Enabling Successful Environmental Partnerships

This thesis discusses environmental partnerships, in which an NGO and corporation collaborate to address mutual goals. I begin by discussing the goals of environmental partnerships before reviewing a brief history of these partnerships, the current state of the partnerships landscape, and partnership trends across industries and within NGOs. Next, I examine the potential benefits and drawbacks to partnering for both public and private participants. Finally, strategies for corporations, NGOs, research institutes, academia, and government to enable the creation and maintenance of successful partnerships are proposed to address critical environmental issues in the absence of effective regulation.

L'obiettivo di questa tesi di dottorato è quello di individuare alcune tematiche che permettano la comprensione, anche e soprattutto dall'interno, di un processo storico, politico, economico e socio-culturale che ha fortemente caratterizzato e condizionato la sponda sud del Mediterraneo e, in particolare la Tunisia. I fili conduttori della ricerca sono lo studio del sistema-Paese Tunisia, della sua storia dall'indipendenza fino ai nostri giorni, del funzionamento delle istituzioni politiche, della complessa relazione tra etnie, religione, partiti politici e poteri istituzionali, delle relazioni internazionali e dell'economia. Ampio spazio viene assegnato all'analisi del ruolo della donna in Tunisia alla luce del Code du Statut Personnel, che ne regolamenta la posizione e le funzioni nella società tunisina. Infine, viene affrontato il tema del Partenariato euromediterraneo, con particolare attenzione all'area socio-culturale: quest'ultima fa sì che la Tunisia si ponga oggi tra i Paesi Terzi Mediterranei maggiormente all'avanguardia nella cooperazione. / The objective of this thesis of doctorate is to characterize some thematics in order to permit the understanding, above all from the inside, of an historical, political, economic and socio-cultural process. This has strongly characterized and conditioned the south side of the Mediterranean and, in particular Tunisia. The threads of the search are the study of the system -Country Tunisia, of its history from independence until our days; of the operation of the political institutions; of the complex relation between ethnic groups, religion, political parties and institutional powers; of the international relations and the economy. Wide space is given to the analysis of the role of the woman in Tunisia to the light of the Code du Statut Personnel. It prescribes the position and the woman's functions in the Tunisian society. Finally, it is faced the topic of the Euromediterranean Partnership, with particular attention to the socio-cultural area. In such a way Tunisia today places between the Mediterranean Thirds Countries mainly to the vanguard in the cooperation.

L'emergente modello organizzativo della direzione risorse umane / The emerging organizational model for HR function

La direzione Risorse Umane, data la confermata centralità delle persone per il raggiungimento degli obiettivi di business, si trova a rispondere a istanze di creazione efficiente di valore, le quali hanno portato a intraprendere un percorso verso un modello organizzativo orientato alla business partnership, comune anche altre funzioni di staff. Ad oggi tuttavia nessuno studio indaga gli effetti relativi all’implementazione del modello emergente in chiave olistica. Il presente contributo vuole far fronte a queste carenze, indagando longitudinalmente sia l’efficienza sia l’efficacia della funzione così come percepite sia dagli stessi dipendenti HR sia da parte dei clienti interni. Ciò diviene particolarmente interessante nel momento in cui sempre più organizzazioni e funzioni aziendali si avvicinano al modello emergente. Applicando le più recenti indicazioni di progettazione di ricerca sul tema vengono pertanto analizzate in maniera longitudinale le unità HR di 42 paesi di un’azienda multinazionale di servizi finanziari, prima, durante e dopo l’implementazione del nuovo modello organizzativo. Dallo studio emerge che l’adozione della nuova struttura, permette di ridurre i costi e di aumentare le attività a valore aggiunto, ma allo stesso tempo fa affiorare alcune criticità sulle tematiche di sviluppo interno con particolare riferimento alla mobilità. Si evince tuttavia che questa non risulta essere associata all’implementazione della nuova struttura. Mediante l’utilizzo di diverse tecniche e applicando il modello ad una realtà concreta, sono esaminate le soluzioni adottate con l’obiettivo di contribuire a comprendere empiricamente come la Direzione HR possa implementare al meglio il nuovo modello, discutendo le implicazioni per la teoria e la pratica aziendale. / Given the emerging importance of people as a contributor to business success, HR function has reorganized itself to deliver more value in efficient way. the business partner model is not unique to HR as all staff functions are trying to find ways to deliver more value to either top-line growth and to bottom-line profitability. However, currently are missing studies that shows impact of the emerging blueprint in an holistic way. With a longitudinal study we analyse the efficiency and effectiveness of the new model on the wider organization and on HR people and this is particularly interesting in moment where several organisation and functions are focusing attention on this blueprint. Using the most recent suggestions on research design are analysed longitudinally HR unit of 42 countries of multinational financial services firm, before, during and after the HR transformation. Outcomes shows that new blueprint implementation is linked to cost reduction and increase the delivery of value, but some issues pop up in terms of perception of internal mobility, that actually is not linked to the implementation of the new model. Using a multi methodology, model is tested in order to understand impact of the new blueprint and its implication for theory and practitioners.

To achieve that, the firms need to offer a product that the customers want. Firms can integrate with external sources and receive valuable information regarding references and needs. Customer relationship management (CRM) have become a tool firm commonly use in order to receive this information. CRM is a much discussed topic among researchers, and the researchers argue that it is of major importance to identify CRM activities that generates profitability and successful performance to the firm   Purpose: The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of customer relationship management (CRM) on product innovation in Scandinavian firms.   Method: The survey generated 61 responses from service and manufacturing firms operating on the Scandinavian market (Sweden, Norway and Denmark). The surveys were accessible through Keysruvey.com in April 2013 and generated a response rate of 14% Conclusion: The major conclusion of this research is that all Hypotheses were supported, which indicates that customer involvement, information sharing and long-term partnership has a positive impact on product innovation.

New Ways of Working? Crime Prevention and Community Safety Within Ottawa's Community Development Framework

Over the past few decades, there has been a shift in crime control discourses, from an almost exclusive focus on traditional criminal justice objectives and practices, to attention to ‘community’ and a range of strategies that seek to prevent crime and increase safety. Overall, evaluations of the community mobilization approach to crime prevention and safety conclude that these initiatives have generally demonstrated limited long-term impacts on ‘crime’ and safety at the local level. Through the ‘what works’ lens, the limits of the approach have typically been attributed to implementation challenges related to outreach and mobilization, and inadequate resourcing. Through a more critical lens, using studies on governmentality as a starting point, this study examines the mechanisms through which crime prevention and community safety became thinkable as sites of governance in Canada, and more specifically within the Community Development Framework (CDF) in Ottawa (ON). To this end, I conducted an ethnography using a triangulation of data collection methods, including extensive fieldwork and direct participant observation within the CDF. The findings of this ethnography describe in detail how the CDF emerged and unfolded (from 2008 to 2010) from a variety of perspectives. These findings show that the CDF encountered a number of common challenges associated with program implementation and community-based evaluation. However, the lack of progress made towards adhering to CDF principles and reaching CDF goals cannot be reduced to these failures alone. The CDF highlights the importance of locating the community approach to crime prevention within its wider socio-political context, and of paying attention to its numerous ‘messy actualities’. These include the dynamics and repercussions of: governing at a distance and of the dispersal of social control; the neoliberal creation and responsibilization of choice-makers; relations of power, knowledge and the nature of expertise; the messiness of the notion of ‘community’; bureaucratic imperatives and professional interests; the words versus deeds of community policing; and processes relevant to resistance within current arrangements.

Assessing youth participation in decision-making processes in community development programmes: a case study of the Spes Bona High School Dream2be Peer Education Programme

<p>During this study, the challenges and best practices of youth participation in problem identification, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes were investigated and the effect of project outcomes on the youth and its implications for community development observed. The use of the qualitative research methodology to examine the extent to which the youth are involved in the decision-making processes was employed. In addition, a literature review that pertained to youth development and participatory community development was conducted. In particular, the participatory concept, and its relation to the inclusion of the youth at the decision-making table, was examined. By providing evidence from the empirical data, an argument is&nbsp / presented that there are internal rigidities that are a hindrance to the youth in expressing their voice in the decision-making platform. However, the conclusion can be drawn that in order to understand the process of participatory development, it is crucial for the youth, community development practitioners and other stakeholders to understand the socio-economic conditions surrounding the youth as these will ensure positive programme outcomes as well as subsequent sustainable youth development.<br /> &nbsp / </p>
