Motivační aspekty vedení osobního blogu / Motivational aspects of running a personal blog

Štěpánková, Petra January 2019 (has links)
The principal aim of this thesis is to examine motivations for running a personal blog among the Czech adult blogger population. The theoretical part covers the charakteristics of blog as a form of virtual interpersonal communication and explores the historical development and the current status of the Czech blogosphere, with regard to potential motives that it reflects. Furthermore, it introduces motivational theories associated with the production of blog content and specific motivational factors based on previous research both in the Czech and foreign countries. In addition, it examines motivation for blogging in terms of characteristics of bloggers such as age, gender and personality. The empirical part of the thesis consists of a combined research design of a questionnaire. The exploratory factor analysis has discovered seven key motivational factors: Harmony and introspection, Self-actualization, Socialisation, Profit, Information spreading, Broadening one's horizons and Documentation. The first four factors show a negative correlation with age. Women are more motivated by Harmony and introspection, Socialisation and Profit than men. The motive of Broadening one's horizons increases during the bloggers' career. The results are accompanied by qualitative insight.

Native advertising - en ulv i fårakläder : En jämförande retorikanalys om sponsrade osponrade inlägg, i en professionell och en privat blogg / Native advertising – a wolf in sheep clothing : A comparative rhetorical analysis about sponsored and non-sponsored posts in one professional and one personal blogg

Franzon, Maria, Ekman, Sofie January 2017 (has links)
This paper investigates how sponsored content blend in with the other content, in two established blogs. One is Petra Tungården who has a professional blog, and one is Nicole Falciani's personal blog. It is a comparative study between sponsored blog posts and non-sponsored blog posts. The study is a qualitative rhetoric analysis using the theories native advertising, rhetoric, personal branding and parasocial interaction to investigate how the two bloggers recommend products or services to their readers with the help of argumentation. The result shows that the argumentation for the sponsored and the non-sponsored posts have both smililarities and differences. Both blogs have many more differences than similarities, but the personal blog turned out to have much more differences than the professional one. Further on it is discussed that the differences are not sufficientlly pronounced to the readers to detect them, and that the problem of distinguishing the sponsored content remains.

Dinâmica relacional em blogs pessoais auto-reflexivos

Oikawa, Erika January 2011 (has links)
This work aims to identify and to analyze the changes that occurred in (1) blogging activity, (2) motivations for blogging, (3) and relationships established in autoreflexive personal blogs, which are disclosed by the media as “online diaries”. In this study, the movement generated by the recursion of these three elements – motivations, practices and relations – is called “relational dynamics”. By adopting the perspective of anthropology in cyberspace, an ethnographic study is conducted in three autoreflexive personal blogs. This anthropological perspective considers the complementary of online and offline dimensions and it also situates the researcher as a “native” of his own field of study, the cyberspace. Thus, based on analysis of 1,137 posts, 2,078 comments and individual interviews with the bloggers, a “thick description” of the relational dynamics of selected blogs is conducted. The results indicate that autoreflexive personal blogs are not exempt from strategic actions, even being a space to let off steam, to muse and release emotional tensions. The results also show that specific characteristics of autoreflexive personal blogs promote the emergence of feelings such as affinity and complicity between bloggers and readers. However, as these relations become more intimate, they are being established in other media more responsive than blogs – such as e-mail, telephone and face to face meetings – and easier to be updated, as social networking sites and microposting platforms.
