Achilleův štít: Minójské zobrazovací postupy v archaické řecké poezii a myšlení / The Shield of Achilles: Minoan Representational Conventions in Early Greek Poetry and Thought

Valentinová, Lucie January 2021 (has links)
The present thesis examines Homer's description of the Shield of Achilleus and Minoan miniature frescoes, particularly the Sacred Grove and Dance Fresco and Grandstand Fresco. It uses them as examples to explore the transmission of ideas between cultures - the intensely visual Minoan civilisation of the Bronze Age centred on Crete and the earliest cultural strata of ancient Greece - that preferred different means of representation, painting, and poetry. Because Minoan fresco painting was essentially non-narrative and not accompanied by readable written records, so that "deciphering" its iconography is not an option, the thesis argues that we can learn about general cultural perceptions from interpreting and analysing how techniques of representation in painting and poetry treat the representation of time and space. From the relationship that these techniques establish with the beholders of the representation, we can infer their self-understanding. If the world appears to us as an intricate complex of cultural representations, the way we interact with them reflects our sense of our human place in the world. The non-narrative techniques of Minoan frescoes - particularly the use of vertical perspective, the absence of a fixed point of view, suppressed focalisation, and map-like composition - are shown...

Česká společnost a sovětská armáda 1968-1991. Problémy nazírané ze sovětské perspektivy / Czech Society and Soviet Army 1968-1991. Some issues from the Soviet perspectives.

Zavorotchenko, Igor January 2019 (has links)
Abstract. This paper explores the memories of Soviet participants in the presence of Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia after 1968. Based on previously existing and new sources, information on the state of the media in the Central Group of Forces is summarized. At the same time, memories and assessments of events by their witnesses are given. Next, the historical myth about the presence of units of the National People's Army of the GDR on the territory of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and their actions against the local population was studied. An attempt is made to interpret this "false memory", widespread in the memoirs of Soviet narrators, to identify the causes of such a myth and its symbolic meaning for those who remember and listen. Also, it is discussed the problem of interpretation and evaluation of the events of 1968 in Czech and Russian collective memories, the attitude of both sides to the definition of the troop's invasion as an act of occupation. Revealed a diametrically opposite perception of this problem by both parties. This discussion naturally brings to the issue of the differences in Czech and Russian historical memories regarding the events of May 1945 and August 1968, the place of these events in symbolic memory and the reflection of these differences in relation of both sides to monumental...

ADHD u uživatelů léčených v terapeutických komunitách z hlediska průběhu léčby, výskytu komplikací a specifických potřeb v rámci léčby, včetně diagnostické a léčebně rehabilitační perspektivy / ADHD in users treated in therapeutic communities in terms of course of treatment, incidence of complications and specific needs within treatment, including diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation perspective

Rubášová, Eva January 2021 (has links)
The onset and development of addiction in people with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) can be predicted by various factors. An essential factor linking the comorbidity of ADHD and the risk of developing substance abuse is increased vulnerability due to neuropsychological deficits and a wide range of biopsychosocial problems that occur from childhood to adulthood. The occurrence of dual diagnoses in substance users treated in residential treatment in therapeutic communities has a major impact on intrapsychic and interpersonal abilities, cognitive and executive functions, and on the ability to manage a treatment program primarily intended for clients without comorbid load. Current research on ADHD in substance users points to a high prevalence of ADHD associated with specific treatment complications and an increased drop-out rate. The aim of the monothematic dissertation, which is based on the results of pre-research and main research project (Study I. - IV.), Is an overview of key findings in terms of ADHD prevalence, ADHD diagnosis in therapeutic communities, treatment complications and gender specifics in treatment and overview. main findings on the development of motivation and specific needs of clients with ADHD. The output of the dissertation is a summary of outputs and...

Společná bezpečnostní a obranná politika: civilní krizové řízení EU - geopolitická perspektiva / Common Security and Defence Policy: Civilian Crisis Management of the European Union - A Geopolitical Perspective

Smejkalová, Tereza January 2012 (has links)
The aim of my work is to apply the political-geographical or geopolitical optics to a specific foreign security activities of the EU, i.e. to put political aims and activities of political-geographical framework. In geopolitical terms, it is necessary to assess the potential and the current deployment of civilian missions. For this purpose, in accordance with the hypothesis of my work, that the civilian aspects of crisis management CSDP are based mainly on the willingness and desire of Member States in a given area or country involved should be analyzed for the three major priorities of Member States (UK, Germany and France) in civilian areas (see National Security Strategy). The work compares the current activities of EU civil security-CSDP and geopolitical intentions of the three great European powers, Germany, France and Great Britain. Civilian CSDP should concentrate in geographic areas that are of key importance to most member states and especially for three large powers. The question is whether the major European powers reflect their priorities in EU policy in its entirety or whether there are other factors that prevent them from doing so. Such factors include decisions based on consensus and the growing power of the European Commission, which defends its interests very hard in the CSDP. Large Member...

Virtualita a konstrukce nové vizuality / Virtuality and Construction of New Visuality

Hunčovská, Hana January 2015 (has links)
This dissertation focuses on the problematic of the use of specific virtual representational methods and their influence on the construction of the new visuality. The aim of this dissertation is to show how computer simulations and visualizations used in medical imaging change the way of our apprehension of the world. Nowadays, within academic circles we witness both optimistic and sceptic theories concerning the effects of integration of computer technology and human apprehension. In this work we would like to answer the question about the type of knowledge we gain through virtual visualizations and we would like to prove that virtual simulations don't necessarily have to be a threat but, on the contrary, by developing visual imagination they can support new, creative apprehension of reality. Key words Linear perspective, logic of database, narrative, rhizome, scopic regime, simulation, simulacrum, virtuality, vision, visuality, visualization

Vztah mezi časovou perspektivou a výkonovou motivací / Relationship between Time Perspective and Achievement Motivation

Vitošková, Veronika January 2014 (has links)
This dissertation addresses the relationship pupils and students to the future, the relationship between time perspective and achievement motivation. The close relationship between the given issue and volitional qualities of a person is also discussed. The theoretical part concentrates on the scientific views of a person's life time dimension, the relationship between the time perspective and the achievement motivation and the relation of these concepts to the issues of volition. The main emphasis is on cognitive and personality concepts of motivation of the time perspective (Gjesme, Nuttin, Lens, Zimbardo, from Czech publications on the concepts of perspective orientation by Pavelková) and on the traditional works about achievement motivation of Atkinson, Raynor and Heckhausen. In our analysis of the aforementioned theoretical concepts we concentrated primarily on finding overlaps, close relations and continuities within the described systems. The practical part represents a structured research of the time perspective, the achievement motivation and will of primary school pupils and secondary school students. One of the fundamental aims is to obtain a basic description of the relationship of pupils and students to the future across the individual areas of study, to empirically verify the relation...

Trockismus v České republice s důrazem na vývoj po roce 2000 / Trotskyism in the Czech Republic with Emphasis on Development since 2000

Štorkánová, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
The submitted thesis deals with the issue of left-wing extremism, especially the development of Trotskyist groups in the territory of Czechoslovakia, later the Czech Republic between the years 1989 - 2014. In the first part of the thesis, the background of Trotskyism thought is introduced as an ideology which is the result of a long-standing conflict between Trotsky and Stalin that was primarily concerned with direction, leadership and the nature of the Soviet Union. The main topics of Trotskyism as the intellectual movement are defined on the base of the analysis of several major writings by L. D. Trotsky. The second part is devoted to the analysis of a number of Trotskyist organizations that are acting or have acted in the Czech environment. In total, four groups from the Czech environment can be identified as Trotskyist. These are the following entities: "Budoucnost" ("Socialist Alternative Future"), "Socialistická solidarita" ("Socialist Solidarity"), "Socialistická organizace pracujících" ("Socialist Organization of Working People"), and "Nová antikapitalistická levice/Levá perspektiva" ("New Anti- Capitalist Left/Left Perspective"). Kafková, Lucie January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis investigates the subjective perception of time, especially the exactness of the interval length estimation, subjective passage of time, in relation to the time perspective, the level of difficulty in emotion regulation and age. Furthermore, the thesis investigates differences in retrospective and prospective paradigm in interval length estimate. Research was conducted online, with a total number of 180 respondents. Data collection had occurred during a 4 month period. Main instruments were the Czech versions of the ZTPI - Zimbardo's time perspective inventory and the DERS-SF-CZ - Difficulty in emotion regulation scale; moreover, for the declaration of subjective passage of time was employed a method of verbal estimation. Subjective interval length was registered after finishing rewriting of two short texts. The results have showed statistically significant relationships between subjective passage of time and age; between the level of difficulty in emotion regulation and subjective passage of time. Amongst the persons orientated onto positive and negative past, there was found a significant relationship between the subjective passage of time and the difficulty in emotion regulation.
