This master´s thesis evaluates the performance of the LAC, s.r.o. company. The theoretical part of the work introduces both a system of performance measurement and also the key principles of strategic analysis. Following this there is an introduction to the company, and to its business activities, together with an evaluation of its current status, utilising strategic and financial analysis. Based on the outputs of the analyses that were carried-out, the analytical part of this thesis presents the design of the Balanced Scorecard method. The final part of the work discusses a proposal for the implementation of a Balanced Scorecard in a corporate environment, with the aim of increasing the company performance and facilitating its future development.

The aim of this diploma thesis was to carry out an analysis of current use of horses in forestry within the South Bohemian region. The diploma thesis contains a brief introduction to the breeding of cold-blooded horses in the Czech Republic, the conditions for breeding cold-blooded horses, the basics of training and harnessing of cold-blooded horses, a description of work done by the horse in a forest and last but not least the thesis presents the issue of causing damage on forest vegetation, soil and soil water while gathering wood. The analysis of common use of horses in forestry has been carried out via the survey method and personal visits. Evaluation and subsequent information analysis was carried out with the focus on the economic side of using horses in forestry and on the estimate of the perspective of their further use. Simplified maps of the South Bohemian Region are a part of the diploma thesis, portraying stables where there are working horses being boarded and capturing possible locations where horses may be used for forestry purposes.

The thesis deals with the problem of the existence of consciousness in the physical world. It denies the approach that is prevailing in the contemporary philosophy of mind that treats the phenomenal consciousness and intentionality separately. The position held in this thesis is to claim that the phenomenal character of consciousness and intentionality are inseparable and that it is impossible to understand the former without understanding the latter, and vice versa. The problem of the existence of consciousness in the physical world is viewed as the problem of the existence of (conscious) intentionality in the physical world. With the aim to achieve an analysis of intentionality that would keep its phenomenal character and the first person point of view, and, at the same time, shed light on its realization in the physical world, thoughts of Peter Strawson, G. E. M. Anscombe, Tim Crane, Colin McGinn and John Searle are discussed. The result is an outline of intentionality that allows to explain the fundamental level of intentionality as a physical process and the higher levels of intentionality as a development of the fundamental level. Diploma thesis is discussing the whole recruitment process. It further explains possibilities of raising effectiveness while choosing the right employees and focuses on long-term growth and productivity as well as motivation. Furthermore it contains an analysis of current situation in this field along with several suggestions for changes and improvements towards the future. Last but not least, it provides peak at modern trends in recruiting the most perspective people.

The subject of this thesis is presence of endpoints in child-directed speech of Czech native speakers. It is based on researches, which show that czech language prefers holistic perspective. This occur for exemple in description of the motion event; a speaker tends to include the endpoint. Thanks to its holistic perspective, Czech language is unique among other Slavic languages, which use a phasal perspective. The phasal perspective highlights the motion process instead of the endpoint. There are several reasons, why Czech language uses holistic perspective: the most common is the proximity to German langugae, which also uses holistic perspective, and specific category of aspect. My thesis examines whether children can learn one of the feature of the holistic perspective, often referring to endpoints in the description of motion events. Research data consists in transcribing informal conversations between children and parents over incentives made for this purpose. I examine total amount od endpoints and how they are expressed. The analysis of the data proves high concentration of endpoints and also proves, that parents direct child's attention to them.

This work delves into the modalities of Chinese economic incentives and their reception in Kyrgyzstan. After tracing the rise of China as the main economic power in Central Asia since 2000, it uses Blanchard's and Ripsman's theory of economic statecraft to evaluate Kyrgyzstan's level of stateness and its susceptibility to economic inducements during president Atambayev's era. The objective is to address the issue of economic statecraft from the perspective of the target state and explain why Kyrgyzstan's co-operation with China has been less successful than in the case of other Central Asian countries. Kyrgyzstan's overall level of stateness was low but it did not result in compliance with Chinese demands. Instead, the low level of stateness prevented the government from overcoming domestic resistance to Chinese projects and implementing compliant behavior. Developmental aid and investment designed to favor the expansion of Chinese enterprises failed to gain the support of public opinion and contributed to the rise of anti-Chinese sentiment due to their involvement in corruption affairs and public scandals. Russia as a third-party actor represented an alternative for Kyrgyz policymakers and might have supported the resistance to Chinese endeavors.

The Master’s thesis is focused on evaluation the performance of the company NEPA. The theoretical part includes the definition of business performance concepts and the presentation of the assessment methodology. This part continues in the description of selected types of strategic analyses. There is an introduction of the company, its activities, strategic and financial analyses in analytic part. That is important for inscription and the base of Balanced Scorecard concept. Based on these findings a Balanced Scorecard implementation proposal is for the analyzed company. In the conclusion, this is completed with relevant proposals.

The aim of the thesis is to think over the possibilities of the history of literature and some other literature theories in the field of interpretation. The history of literature describes literary texts as historical objects. Although it's a human science, it disregards a human beings and their life-world. It rather categorize technically literary texts into different groups. This approach is purely scientific. The history of literature as many other branches of literary science solves their own abstract problems through the abstract theories which has no aim to interpret the literary text as a specific experience for a reader. The article points out how the scientific approach to the literary text disable to interpret a conrete literary text in the sense for human being. I use phenomenological philosophy as a proposal of another type of approach to the interpretation. Interpretation in the phenomenological sence means that through literary text the interpret seeks to understand our living world. In the other parts I follow the trail of phenomenological philosophy in tradition of Prague structuralism.
