Syftet med denna fallstudie var att undersöka och analysera vilka metoder som används föratt effektivisera orderplockprocessen på företagets lagerverksamhet. Syftet utökades med trefrågeställningar för att kunna fördjupa oss inom områdena som plockning, placering avartiklar samt ruttalternativ för att komma fram till eventuella metoder som kan effektiviseradessa områden. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av kvalitativa studier där intervjuer ochobservationer har använts för att undersöka lageraktiviteterna hos företaget. Denna kvalitativa undersökning visade att plockarna har stor autonomi och att det finns flera olika parallella rutiner vid orderplockning, plockrutter och placering av artiklar. Tidigare forskningframhäver att det är viktigt med metoder och rutiner i dessa aktiviteter för att effektiviserasamt minska tidshanteringen i orderplockprocessen. Resultatet från denna studie redogörolika rekommendationer och åtgärder från litteraturen som det undersökta företaget kan vidtaför att underlätta orderplockprocessen. Studien visar att vid implementering av metoder iorderplockprocessen kan företaget minska på transportavståndet, hitta artiklar enklare,maximera lageryta samt att beställningar som manuellt förs in i affärssystemet övergår till enautomatiserad överföring. / The purpose of this case study was to investigate and analyze the methods used to streamline the order picking process at the company's warehouse operations. The purpose was expanded with three research questions to be able to immerse ourselves in areas such as picking, placement of articles and route alternatives in order to find methods that can make these areas more efficient. The study was conducted using qualitative studies where interviews and observations were used to investigate the warehouse activities of the company. This qualitative study showed that the pickers have great autonomy and that there are several different parallel routines in order picking, picking routes and placement of items. Previous research has highlighted the importance of methods and routines in these activities to improve efficiency and reduce time management in the order picking process. The results of this study describe various recommendations and measures that the investigated company can take to facilitate in the order picking process. The study shows that when implementingmethods in the order picking process, the company can reduce the transport distance, findarticles easier, maximize the warehouse layout and orders that are manually entered into thebusiness system can be transferred automatically.
