The diploma thesis is focused on the motivation of students to study at the Hussite theological faculty of Charles University. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to provide summary information on the given topic. The aim of the practical part is to find out and analyze the motivation of the students of social and charity work. Part of the practical part is a questionnaire, finding the motives of students to study this field and their needs to continue studying and learning. The questionnaire survey showed that students are most often attracted by the inadequacy of the admission procedure together with the personal interest in studying this faculty. For the field itself, they decided in the first place mainly because of the desire to help people and to be beneficial. Since graduating from the field, they have been promising to increase their professional qualifications, a better chance of good job and getting a degree. Students at the Hussite Theological Faculty appreciate mainly the ambience of a smaller faculty with family atmosphere, tolerance and openness prevail.

The diploma thesis prepares the evaluation of the feed ration during the period of plant nutrition of calves in the monitored enterprise. The feed is evaluated on the selected farm on the basis of nutrient needs with respect to the recommended values - standards. Above the award, the feed for the heifers is evaluated. In the case of heifers, the feed dose, which is presented during the rearing of heifers, is compared with the average daily increments of one year (2017).

The subject of this diploma thesis is analysis of the structure, value and development of expenditure by municipalities in the CZ with emphasis on municipalities in the South Bohemian Region for the purpose of objectification of local public expenses. The analysis was performed on a representative sample of 179 municipalities within the scope of the South Bohemian Region. The source of data was municipal budgets during the period from 2005 {--} 2007, refined by removal of transfers to own funds. The representative sample was divided into seven size categories according to the number of inhabitants in the municipality. The average annual percentage of six key budget forming expense groups, of the overall current expenditure for each municipality of the representative sample, each size category and collectively for the South Bohemian Region and the whole CZ was expressed (in percent and value) by means of a vertical analysis. The next step was a more detailed analysis of selected budget forming branch classification expense groups (1, 5, 6), sections (33, 34), sub-sections (363) and paragraphs (2212), by means of conversion to requirement indicator unit (for instance per 1 inhabitant, hectare area, km of road). The average annual current expenditure for every group (section, sub-section, paragraph) of the budget per every requirement indicator unit was determined, initially individually for each municipality and subsequently for each of the size categories. The same procedure was applied to the collective current expenditure of the South Bohemian Region and the Czech Republic. The estimates of the fiscal (expenditure) requirements of municipalities and fiscal requirement indexes were also calculated in the interests of dealing with the issue of the size of local public expenditure comprehensively. By mutual comparison of the results, differences in the size of local public expenditure of specific municipalities were revealed, which may be the result of ineffective economic management and therefore require increased attention and more detailed analysis. This diploma thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the structure, value and development of local public expenditure by municipalities in the South Bohemian Region (by means of public inspection), opportunities for increasing efficiency in provision of local public goods and services.

The Need for Intimacy and its Assurance in Nursing Care for Selected Minority Groups The need for intimacy is an important part of everyday life, and it is necessary to assure it at hospitalization. This need is individual, specific to each person and the culture the person comes from. The theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to this issue. The concept of intimacy and the need to assure intimacy in nursing care with a focus on specifics of the nursing care for members of minority groups are described. The master´s thesis objective was to identify the specifics to assure the need for intimacy of selected minority groups and to determine whether nurses know the specifics of intimacy in nursing care for patients from selected minority groups. To meet the objectives, the following hypotheses were stated: H1: There are specifics in the need for intimacy in selected minority groups, and H2: Nurses know the specifics in the need for intimacy in selected minority groups. One research question was asked: Is the need for intimacy in patients from selected minority groups assured at hospitalization? To conduct the diploma thesis research, a quantitative-qualitative survey was selected and the interview method was used ? questionnaires for nurses and the general public, and the interview technique for representatives of selected minority groups. The research set consisted of nurses in hospitals, the general public and representatives of selected minority groups. The survey was carried out during the months of February and March 2011. Specifics in the need for intimacy assurance in selected minority groups exist, and nurses are familiar with them. They know them mainly form their nursing practice when they have met a member of a minority group. The answer to the research question was unequivocal. Yes, the need for intimacy in patients from selected minority groups is assured. It is assured primarily by using the fittings of individual departments, which are the curtains or blinds, as well as by a helpful and sympathetic attitude of the medical staff who try not to unnecessarily unveil the patients´ bodies and according to available means to provide them with as much privacy as possible either during examination, a treatment intervention or while on bed rest. The outcomes show that both objectives were met and the hypotheses were confirmed. The research results were the basis for elaboration of an informational brochure for nurses, which may help in nursing care for minority groups members. And not only for assuring the needs for intimacy, but for a general overview of specifics in nursing care for minority groups members.

The topic of this diploma's thesis is comparison of the educational needs of school managers and managers from the private business sector. The theoretical part deals with concept of management, the definition of school management and specifics of school. It also focuses on managers, education of managers, including educational needs, their identification and saturation through further education. The aim of the research part is to identify educational needs and phenomena associated with them and the subsequent comparison between schools and non-school managers. The core of the thesis is qualitative research conducted by semistructured interview with four representatives of school management and four representatives of non school management. During the subsequent analysis were used the principles of grounded theory. Identified fields of educational needs are very similar in both groups, significant differences were identified in the phenomena related to educational needs. The thesis summarizes concepts of information of quality and information needs, describes the issues of measuring quality of information and elaborates on the motivation and possibilities of research on in- formation needs and increasing quality of information. The first part of the thesis defines the terms of information behavior, information need and quality of information. This chapter describes the aforementioned concepts, the possibilities of their research, measurement and evaluation and suggests the general relationship between quality of information and fulfil- ling information needs.
