The thesis deals with social work at hospital, exactly with job descripton of social worker at hospital, with support which he receives during performance of work and conditions under which he performs the work. In the theoretical part there are defined terms social work and social worker, his competence and approach to clients, hospital, patient and client. It also deals with ethical codex. Then it deals with disability and its types. It deals with family and educational styles, situation of families with child with disability, different social benefit from social welfare scheme which they can be entitled to and social services which they can use. It discusses also attitude of parents to children with disability and process of coping with this reality. Next part deals with social work at hospital, defining social work at the hospital, his education and job description requirements. There is also mentioned the term quality of life, which should social worker bear in mind during work with clients. Diploma thesis analyses the macro practice in the Czech social work. It defines macro practical concept and its relationship to social policy and community social work by analysing the Czech and foreign specialized publications. It defines the key knowledge, skills and abilities which macro practicioner should manage. It emphasizes the macro scope towards the political representation. Macro practical methods are presented too. Diploma thesis defines two main principles - networking and evidence based practice. At first, macro practicioner is the creator of professional's networks or social services network. Secondly, in the evidence based practice macro practicioner is obligated to manage his decision making process on the base of the best and the most recent scientific researches. Social entrepreneurship is an innovative solution to increasing social problems related to unemployment and its inseparable social impact, such as social exclusion of persons that are disadvantaged in terms of labour market access. In spite of the fact that the law of the Czech Republic lacks a legal framework of social entrepreneurship (the term of social enterprise as such is not legally based nor defined), there are many local activists who make effort to change this state of inequality, using social enterprises as a means of generating new workplaces for people handicapped in terms of entering an open labour market. The main practical goal of the thesis I hereby present is to help those social entrepreneurs with creating more sustainable organisation structure of their businesses. The first part of my thesis is dedicated to explaining basic concepts and charting a theoretical framework of the research. In the second part I focus on the results of empirical research regarding social enterprise operation. The results may serve as practical advice on organisation structure optimisation in the field of gastronomy. An Abstract The dissertation is devoted to criminal recidivism terms of probation officers who work daily with offenders, who were imposed an alternative punishment. The theoretical part is focused on explanation of restorative and retributive justice and probation and mediation service in the Czech Republic but also in England and Germany. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes a description of the factors that influence the criminal behavior of the offender with an emphasis on social - cultural factors. In the last part of the theoretical work is defined criminal recidivism itself, its basic layout, types, and also statistics of recidivism in the Czech Republic and penitentiary and post-penitentiary care. The practical part contains qualitative research made with the help of interviews with probation officers. The aim of the research part of the thesis is to find out what Probation and Mediation Service employees themselves think about the possibilities of reducing recidivism through probation work with criminals and also what is the probation employees opinion of the actual criminal recidivism.

The purpose of the Diploma thesis "The influence of state policy of employment to persons under the age of 26" is to define a group of young unemployment individuals with elementary and high education with certificate of apprenticeship. The thesis describes tools of employment policy, which influences the target group of people. The practical goal of the thesis is to conduct qualitative survey inside the user group of streetwork programme for children and young adults in the Cerny Most area. The users of the programme are target group in the thesis. The main purpose of the survey is to find out, what are the experiences of the users with jobs searching and with specific active tools of employment policy. The results of survey are analyzed and conclusions with recommendations are made. Besides describing a brief history of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and poisons including definitions of selected addictive substances, the thesis focuses on addictive behaviour, medical treatment and social assistance for persons addicted to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and poison-dependent people. An essential part of these people's treatment is their follow-up adaptation back to normal life, which is often very important. The chapters describe the particular service (medical and social), including examples that help individuals with their problem and also to adapt socially, or adapt to something. In the practical part it is due to the respondents and their life stories clearly shown, what is the way back from the survival of individuals with drug addiction to everyday life.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of the social worker's mental hygiene in connection with dealing with the psychological stress arisen from their profession in the present day. Thesis contains the detailed depiction of the present day state of the social work profession in the context of the postmodern era. Due to professional sources the work analyses and explains personality particularity of social workers which are important for discharging this profession including the theme of the psychological stress of social workers, and the ways of coping with it are included as well. The main mental hygiene resources are fundamental and "superstructural" (the core of the social work) which are necessary for coping with the psychological stress. The thesis demonstrates the importance of cooperation of the three mainstays that are responsible for promoting and formation of the required position for the mental hygiene in social work - meant for employers, educators, and social workers as well. All these mainstays participate in enhancing the quality of social work. The lack of high-quality and appropriate mental hygiene in this profession thwarts the realization of first-rate social work. However, as this thesis outlines, it depends mainly on the social worker whether he or she can use the potential of the mental hygiene resources effectively or not.

This work deals with the topic how to help the over-indebted clients. The theoretical part describes the term over-indebtedness, its forms and the ways of help provided to the people with such problems. The closer interest is put on how these people can be helped by social work, which methods are suitable and relevant to this type of work and how these methods are defined in specialized literature and corresponding legislation. The practical part of this work focuses on the form of help to these people within a specific organization that provides social services and works for the over-indebted clients. Using some case studies the work describes some particular cases and methods of work which were applied. Concerning the methods of work with these clients, the thesis describes the elements of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis which are used by social workers while working with their clients. Further on, the thesis describes the social workers' attitudes, their experiences with their clients and points out some existential questions they deal with, especially from the perspective of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis.

This work is dealing with children and adolescents, who are going through a loss of their parent. It describes how the multidisciplinary team of home hospice care works approach this focus group. My work explains how death is perceived by children and adolescents, understanding of which is instrumental in handling communication with individuals suffering from the trauma of loss. We need to understand family as a unit where everyone influence each other. Therefore I point out the importance of open communication in the family which is the basis for strong life-long relationships and also helps coping with loss better. This work is enriched by interviews with home hospice care social workers and their hands-on experience working with children going through the loss of their parent.
