Semikvantitativní zhodnocení fosilní asociace dobrotivského souvrství (ordovik pražské pánve) na lokalitě Ejpovice / Semiquantitative study of the fossil association of the Dobrotivá Formation (Ordovician, Prague Basin) in Ejpovice

Luptáková, Monika January 2021 (has links)
The master thesis is focused on the semiquantitative study of the fossil association of the stratigraphically lowest layer No. 3 from the channel sample from the Ejpovice locality, where in the southern bank of the flooded quarry, the Dobrotivá Formation of the Ordovician of the Prague Basin is exposed in the thickness of several meters. The thesis briefly summarizes basic knowledge about the fossil associations of the Dobrotivá Formation, its lithology, stratigraphy and previous paleontological research at studied locality. Paleoecology of the fauna recorded in studied material is described. The main part of the thesis is focused on the taphonomy and associations of the fossils recorded in studied material. In the final part of the thesis, the overall fossil association is characterized depending on the paleoecology and taphonomy of preserved fossils, and the model of the paleoenvironment at the Ejpovice locality is discussed. Based on the lithology and studied fossil associations, it is assumed that a dysoxic environment with episodic currents prevailed in the Ejpovice locality. The fauna is species-depleted and taxa typical of the Dobrotivá Formation are rare. The fauna is mainly allochtonous and most of the organisms are considered as postmortal accumulations in this study. Key words:...

Sedimentologický a mikrofaciální výzkum suchomastských vápenců na Zlatém koni u Koněprus (spodní devon - dalej) / Sedimentologic and microfacies study of the Suchomasty Limestone at Zlatý kůň Hill near Koněprusy (Lower Devonian - Dalejan)

Polecha, Roman January 2010 (has links)
This master thesis comprises results of sedimentologic, microfacies and physical stratigraphic research of the Suchomasty Limestone at Zlatý kůň Hill near Koněprusy (Prague Basin, Lower Devonian - Dalejan). Six instructive sections have been selected for detailed study. Physical stratigraphic records (MS and GRS) have been used for correlation of two lithologically different sections (Section I - to the East of the Herget Quarry and Section IV - near the entrance to the Koněprusy Caves). This comparison showed that both sections correspond to the same stratigraphic level, and thus can be included in one sedimentary system. This assumption is also supported by preliminary results of studies on stratigraphic distribution of conodonts. Stratigraphic variations in MS and GRS may also be used for reconstructions of sedimentary environment and its evolution (e.g., changes in sea level). However, all measured parameters show only low oscillations and reflect probably only local conditions. Five microfacies types corresponding to three facies belts have been identified in the studied sections. The lower part of the Suchomasty Lm. is dominated by fine-grained limestones (MF 1 - tentaculite wackestone/packstone) in the NW part of the area (Section IV - near the entrance to the Koněprusy Caves). They deposited in a...

Chitinozoa nejvyššího ludlow pražské pánve a jejich význam pro korelace a vývoj faun napříč kozlowskii/lau eventem / Latest Ludlow chitinozoans from the Prague Basin: significanec for correlations and succession during Kozlowskii/Lau extinction events

Vodička, Jakub January 2012 (has links)
Two sections, Všeradice and Kosov, represent continuous sedimentary succession situated in the Prague Basin. No detailed research on stratigraphical level equal the N. kozlowskii graptolite zone focusing on chitinozoans, has not yet been conducted in the Prague Basin and is also very scarce globally. Limestone beds, examined for chitinozoans, were not very productive. Chitinozoan reaction on extinction is visible, if we compile data from both sections. The pre-extinct chitinozoan fauna is characterized by the Conochitinidae family. Samples from the post-extinct interval contained no chitinozoas. The interval of fauna recovery is characterized mainly by the Eisenackitina genera. In this interval, global zone for the uppermost Ludfordian, represented by E. barrandei, can be confirmed. In agreement with all the published literature, we have not found E. philipi, index taxa of the former global zone in the Prague Basin. E. lagenomorpha appears stratigraphically only slightly below E. barrandei and therefore it cannot substitute E. philipi, as it is used in Baltika region. chitinozoa, Prague Basin, Kozlowskii, Lau, extinction, Ludfordian, stratigraphy

Život a dílo Wilhelma Matzky / Life and Work of Wilhelm Matzka

Chocholová, Michaela January 2011 (has links)
Wilhelm Matzka (1798-1891) was a German mathematician as well as an important person of the University of Prague and an eminent representative of the mathematical community in the Czech countries in the middle of the 19th century. This thesis is original and reminds of his life as well as of his scientific, pedagogical and organizational activities. The center of this work is formed by the analysis and the evaluation of Matzka's mathematical work, its classification in the development of mathematics and its education. There are mentioned his studies and monographs on mathematical applications like physics, chronology, astronomy and geodesy as well, which give the thesis a sig- nificant interdisciplinary character. This thesis presents also lot of historical connections and provides a view of the situation in the German, Czech and European world of mathematics in the 19th century.

Korelace zástupců čeledi Spathognathodontidae (Conodonta) na hranici silur/devon v profilech Na Požárech a Praha-Radotín (pražská synforma) / Family Spathognathodontidae (Conodonta) from the Silurian/Devonian boundary (sections Na Požárech and Praha-Radotín; Prague Synform) and its biostratigraphical correlation

Hušková, Aneta January 2017 (has links)
This work is focused on conodont biostratigraphy of the Silurian/Devonian boundary interval in the Prague Synform. The Na Požárech and Praha-Radotín sections were selected in order to study conodont diversity and changes in conodont faunas in different carbonate facies - shallower and deeper-water limestones around the Silurian/Devonian boundary and also to test the assumption, whether differences in bathymetry affect the diversity of taxa of the family Spathognathodontidae. In total 22 samples were analysed, particularly 13 samples from the section Praha-Radotín and 9 samples from the section Na Požárech. All samples were processed in laboratory and the obtained conodont material was studied in detail. The conodont material is abundant in both sections (more than thousand elements) and shows a high diversity and disparity in the family Spathognathodontidae. In total 17 taxa were identified and a new species Zieglerodina petrea is described. This new taxon is easily recognizable because of a distinct morphology and could be usefull for the identification of the base of Devonian in the Prague Synform. Its potential use in global correlation will, however, need further and thorough studies. Also conodonts of the family Icriodontidae are surprisingly abundant in both sections. Thin sections (13 from...

Jaroslav Kofroň a jeho odkaz / Jaroslav Kofroň and his legacy

Štefanová, Jaroslava January 2020 (has links)
1 Abstract The author of this work pays attention to Czech musical personality Jaroslav Kofroň who is known primarily as an educator and author of pedagogical literature: The textbook of harmony; The textbook of rhythm and intonation. The main objective is to bring the essential information about the artist's compositional activity that is not known, although it is very rich and deserves more attention. According to the information the works are identified with the year of their implementation and available materials that are stored in libraries or on the website. The partial aim is a comprehensive and acquaints the public with the whole range of Kofroň personality that we perceive as a performer, a conductor, a choirmaster and a painter. Main chapter provides an overview of the composer's instrumental formation that includes the creation of orchestral, brass, chamber music, solo concerts. A huge attention is focused on the creation of the song, which contains over 600 songs, edited or composed both for solo singing voices and choirs: male, female, children's and mixed. It also identified spiritual music, stage and production for children there. My work provides an analysis of song "Songs for the youngest" and the author's didactic notes Cycle pieces for horn and piano "Images", intended for children of...

Realismus na pražské universitě v době Václava IV / Realism at Prague university during the reign of Wenceslas IV

Řezník, Jan January 2021 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to the analysis of the realist view in the dispute about the nature of universals at Prague university during the reign of Wenceslas IV. At the same time, I explore the realism of the beginning of the fifteenth century in the Czech intellectual environment with regard to its international influences, with which I deal both synchronically and diachronically. I inquire into Prague realism as an original tradition of thinking, which is inspired by the philosophy and logic of foreign thinkers, but such influence is recontextualized into the Czech intellectual environment in a completely unprecedented way. My epistemological framework is based in inductive research, which I conduct by combining the results derived from the analysis of independent datasets of primary data. Such methodological choice enables me to carry out triangulation, i.e. finding the objective truth through approaching the topic from various viewpoints. I reach the conclusion that the dispute about the nature of universals at Prague university at the beginning of the fifteenth century cannot be reduced to the opposition between the nominalism of German masters and the realism of Czech masters, but realism can be apprehended as an important school of thought in terms of establishing an independent tradition of...

Eduard Goldstücker (1913 - 2000). Významný pražský germanista, publicista a politik. / Eduard Goldstücker (1913 - 2000). Significant Prague germanist, journalist and politician.

Kříž, Jiří January 2016 (has links)
This master's thesis introduces the essential biographical sources for the research of the great personality of European German studies, journalism and politics, Prof. Eduard Goldstücker (1913- 2000): Prozesse: Erfahrungen eines Mitteleuropäers (1989), Vzpomínky 1913-1945 (2003), Vzpomínky 1945-1968 (2005) and Von der Stunde der Hoffnung zur Stunde des Nichts: Gespräche (2009). As the coordinate axis for understanding of the development and extensive areas of operation of this unique type of germanist serve the massive social and historical transformations in the 20th century Europe: The Great Depression, the World Wars, anti-Semitism, fascism, the Cold War, Stalinism, the Prague Spring and the period after the fall of the Iron Curtain. The focus of this thesis are Goldstücker's professional, editorial and journalistic activities and interconnected efforts in the field of diplomacy, politics and current affairs, which make him a scientific and social personality of exceptional importance.

Postavy a příběhy ze dna Prahy v beletristické reflexi na přelomu 19. a 20. století / Characters and stories of Prague's underworld as reflected in late 19th and early 20th century fiction

Bartoňová, Barbora January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with various genres which, at the turn of the century, depicted life of the Prague offscourings, i.e. socially excluded and frequently humiliated inhabitants of Prague. The main objective is to give a characteristic of a homeless character, the man on the street, also known as the "Prague vagabond", a character which regularly appears in literature of the period. The thesis discusses several specific Prague vagabonds whom it subsequently compares to the literary type of vagabond (the author used Daniela Hodrová's theoretical findings about the literary type) and shows the impact the city environment has on him. Besides that, the author follows the way the city itself is described as the vagabond of Prague is closely connected with and to a large extent determined by his home city. Primarily, the thesis works with fiction (although a few plays are included as well) and aims to focus on authors of the period who are not widely known today, e.g. R. J. Kronbauer, K. L. Kukla, V. Plaček, F. L. Šmíd, and J. Hais Týnecký. Keywords Prague, Prague offscourings, vagabond, beggar, social issues, literary character, environment
