Submitted thesis describes charitable activity in Christianity and its history as well as charitable activity in other religions. Thesis focuses mainly on research and the analysis of Prague archdiocese charitable activity within years 1989 - 2002 of available information. Paper presents findings that result from the analysis of charitable activity within areas of social work, humanitarian aid and above all development co-operation. In diploma thesis, we described various fulfilments of supportive development projects, especially the most conspicuous and the most significant participation in development activity -on project Remote adoption. The significance of this activity between years 1993 - 2009 reflects its results. Submitted paper qualifies results of analysis and determinates further possibilities of given problem`s examination. The basic purpose of thesis is on the basis of gained results, pointed on significant contribution of Prague archdiocese charitable activity not only within Czech Republic, but also in foreign countries. This thesis concerning the way to priesthood, the diocesan priests especially, and explores mainly the moment when young men make their decision for the priesthood. This thesis wants to know the role of the Archdiocese of Prague, the priests, the Christian parents and how they can motivate and support them on their life journey towards their profession. The first chapter describes the journey towards the priesthood according to the Church documents. The second chapter is interested in the specific forms of the pastoral work within the Archdiocese of Prague. The Archdiocesan Seminary is mentioned in the third chapter. The last the fourth chapter is concerning the current status of the clergy and priestly ordination within the Archdiocese of Prague. The second, the third and the fourth chapters represent the author's contribution in the form of assessment of the questionnaires. These questionnaires were distributed and used relating the priest calling pastoral work.

The diploma thesis "Comparison of the pastoral and charitable care for the elderly in the Archdiocese of Prague" enquires into the relation between the pastoral and charitable care for the elderly in the Archdiocese of Prague and the quality of accessible local services. It seeks to define the meaning of being old in the 21st century, deals with the questions of ageing and old age and the perception of these phenomenons in the broad social context. The thesis underlines the dignity of old men as well as their specific psychological and spiritual needs. The second part of the paper inquires into the principles of the charitable and pastoral care and it tries to sort out the accessible services. The last, empirical part contains the methodology and interpretation of the research among the charitable and pastoral institutions and parishes. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá postavou Golema v dílech německých a českých autorů. V první kapitole se zaměřuji na Prahu na přelomu 19. a 20. století, kde se tomuto tématu věnovali hlavně němečtí, převážně židovští autoři. Jejich tvorba je označována pojmem "pražská německá literatura". Vedle nich o Golemovi píší i čeští spisovatelé. V druhé kapitole přibližuji dobu za vlády Rudolfa II., kdy žil rabi Löw, který podle pověsti Golema stvořil a oživil šémem. Poslední kapitola je věnována obecným informacím o oživlé hliněné postavě. Následně zde analyzuji jednotlivá díla předem vybraných autorů. Po zhodnocení sedmi bodů, na které jsem se ve své práci zaměřila, uvádím výsledky této analýzy. V některých případech uchopili autoři jednotlivé situace velice podobně, v některých se značně odlišovali. Právě odlišnost přístupu a pestré variace zpracování dotváří Golemův mysteriozní obraz.

Title: Marketing plan of PTU Praha Objectives: The main goal of this diploma thesis was to create a marketing plan for PTU Praha, including analyses of external and internal surroundings. The reason was to propose a concept for that organisation to increase its prosperity by marketing activities. Methods: Both methods of analyses, qualitative (interview and expert pannel) and quantitative (written or electronic survey), were used. Results: Data acquired from qualitative analysis was utilized and summarised in the results section of this diploma thesis. Based on those results and gathered information from interviews the best stratégy with optimal composition of markeing-mix tools has been chosen. This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of cultural tourism, particularly focusing on Prague theatres and incoming tourism in Prague. This work specifically examines the relationship between these two areas. The aim of this study is to confirm the hypothesis whether it makes sense to look at theatres in Prague as one of the tools of marketing strategies and promotion of the city in relation to foreign visitors. First part of this work is theoretical. It deals with the definition of culture, performing arts and tourism. This part also examines theoretical approaches to the issue of cultural tourism and cultural tourist. Practical part of this study includes a survey and interviews in selected theatres and institutions, thematically focused on marketing communication and overall approach to the target group of foreign visitors.

The thesis Národní listy 1910 - 1914 is focused on the period of ownership change of Národní listy, which was bought by Pražská akciová tiskárna (Prague share printing house) in 1910 from the family of the deceased founder Dr. Julius Grégr. The daily journal, which has retained a degree of independence, has become the official press authority of the political party Národní strana by this sale, mainly represented by Karel Kramář and Alois Rašín. In individual chapters, I am gradually analyzing the underlying materials from which I drew for my work by putting Národní listy in the context of the time and circumstances that led to the creation of the daily journal. The thesis is also aimed to the activities of the preparatory committee, which initiated and succeeded in obtaining the Národní listy for the mladočeská political party. The main part of the text deals with the business transaction itself, illustrates the financial backstage of the company Pražská akciová tiskárna, examines the documents that accompanied the purchase and its preparation and describes the subsequent modernisation of the whole enterprise.

This thesis aims to analyse the development and planning of the construction of the blocks of small flats at the Zelná liška residental district in the Pankrác area of Prague in the years from 1932 to 1939. The first chapter focuses on how the architectural trends in the country and worldwide at that time impacted the development and the area planning. The second chapter deals with the description of flats being built at that time, which were small in size but practical and hygienic, and the main purpose behind their construction. In particular, it deals with the new look of the apartment houses, with the changes of their ground plans and the law regulations related. The following two parts are dedicated exclusively to the development of the area around Pankrác. The objective is to provide its demarcation and a brief overview of the area's development at the time just before the Capital of Prague was established, and the regulation. The chapters also include a detailed summary of the competition to construct the new municipal houses the new municipal houses in the Zelená liška area between two competitors - the Central Social Insurance Company and the City of Prague. The thesis has the purpose of reviewing the problem of the use of historical buildings for the requirements of the tourism in the Prague Heritage Reservation. The heritage property fund is one of the principal parts of our national cultural heritage. The existence of preserved and maintained monuments is the basic requirement for the development of the tourism in city reservations. The theoretical part is dedicated to specify the current issues through the analysis of Prague tourism, heritage law, heritage institutions and cultural tourism. In the practical part the use of historical buildings for the requirements of the tourism, primarily commercial and cultural & educational, is crucial. Based on the confrontation of these two building functions and questionnaire analysis within the amateur and specialist public, the work tries to demonstrate the benefit of these types of use including the sustainability to the heritage property fund of the Prague Heritage Reservation.

This master thesis deals with the availability of civic infrastructure in Prague agglomeration areas which were affected by residential suburbanization. Suburbanization process but also the demography of the population affected dynamically growing population which caused many municipalities lack the capacity of civic amenities. The aim of this master thesis is to describe and assess the impact of suburbanization on the scope and availability of civic amenities in the villages located near the capital city of Prague. This paper summarizes the situation in the suburbanized areas of the Czech Republic. However, important parts of the paper are also the theories that address the issue of suburbanization and their influence in other countries. Moreover, case studies that were conducted in two selected villages of the district of Prague-West, in Libčice nad Vltavou and in Horoměřice are included. The analysis show that the inadequate infrastructural facilities are being experienced in large part suburbanized municipalities. Data from available statistical databases and from personal interviews that were conducted with representatives from selected communities were used to compose this paper.
