The main objective of this diploma thesis is to provide an analysis of the accessibility standards adoption level of Prague city districts websites. The required level is defined in the Ministry of Internal Affairs notice (Accessibility Notice) which reflects the amendment of the law 365/2000 and contains accessibility guidelines which are the result of the project "Přístupnost webových stránek orgánů státní správy" (Accessibility of Public Administration Web Pages). The thesis also reflects similar analysis from the paper "Přístupnost a weby městských částí Prahy" (Accessibility and Web Pages of Prague City Districts) written in 2007. To achieve this goal the thesis firstly describes accessibility keystones (definition of accessibility, disabled users, legislation etc.). Next part of the thesis provides an analysis of above mentioned project and its outcomes, which contain the comparison of Czech accessibility guidelines, WCAG 1.0 and working draft of WCAG 2.0, analysis of disabled users needs, draft of new accessibility guidelines and costs of its application among public administration websites. Third part of the thesis depicts a comparison of the Accessibility Notice guidelines and "Best practice -- Pravidla pro tvorbu přístupného webu" (previous version of Czech accessibility guidelines). Final part presents particular and summary results of the accessibility test of particular Prague city districts websites against selected guidelines of the Accessibility Notice. Test results are also compared with outcomes of above mentioned paper from year 2007.

This thesis analyzes the current settings of occupational health and safety process regarding officers of the Municipal Police of Prague (MPP). The theoretical part provides situational analysis of conditions in which MPP operates. There are also defined key risks for personal safety of municipal policemen, identified methodology for risk management and quality control. The practical part describes and analyzes the process of occupational health and safety at MPP. The result of this work is evaluation of the current process effectiveness and proposal of possible scenarios of further improvement.

The diploma thesis concerns with the influence of the economic crisis on economy of two city districts of Prague, Dolní Počernice and Prague 18 -- Letňany and two municipalities, Sušice and Šestajovice. The main goal is to evaluate the crisis impact on revenues and expenditure of these subjects in the years 2008 -- 2010, compare size of the crisis impact and find out whether the studied subjects performed any solutions against this situation. The theoretical part describes the basic definitions and impact of the economic crisis on public finances as a whole. In the practical part the budgets of subjects are analyzed with an emphasis on the years 2008 - 2010. The final section contains a comparison of the impact of crisis on the subjects and also examined to assess their response to the revenue decline. My conclusion is that all subjects experienced the impact of the crisis on the revenue side of their budgets, which was not very significant. The economic crisis has not significantly affected the normal operation of the surveyed municipalities and city districts of Prague and therefore may not be performed significant to countermeasures impact of the crisis. But it is not possible to precisely determine which subjects were influenced by the crisis more and less.

Effective integration of migrants should be seen as a multidimensional process that requires commitment and partnership of all stakeholders. In the Czech Republic the integration is shifting to the local level increasingly. It is a slow process followed by various difficulties, but it creates a number of challenges to cooperation of civil society organizations, boroughs and other stakeholders. The thesis focuses on the cooperation of actors in the area of integration of migrants from third countries in Prague, where the situation is influenced by a number of specific factors. Based on the studies and analysis of available materials and conducted interviews, work explains how and in what areas cooperation of actors works or does not work. Work presents which positives, barriers and potential capacity of cooperation see representatives of civil society organizations, boroughs and state institutions as well.

The diploma thesis The City Hall of Prague attitude towards prostitution is based on the constructivist paradigm and uses feminist theories. It examines, by means of a critical reading, the attitudes of the City Hall of Prague towards prostitution and its development in course of time. The period of investigation was determined by the beginning of municipal intention to introduce a regulatory bill. For this purpose all the relevant press releases from the period 2003 and 2015 were gathered. These documents are concerned with prostitution and they are accessible on press service section of www.praha.eu portal used by the City Hall as a medium for press releases. A theory part introduces basic concepts and trends in feminist debates concerning prostitution. The core of the thesis consists of four categories derived from the source data.These are: definition of prostitution, prostitution as a problem, needs and goals, and support and repression. The categories are treated critically from the viewpoint of feminist theories. The author follows not only the topics concerning prostitution, but also the way they are presented. ENGLISH ABSTRACT This dissertation is focused on Prague in views in literary works of post-february exile authors, which emigrated after year 1948: Egon Hostovský, Zdeněk Němeček and Jiří Kovtun. The picture of Prague, which we can (re)construct from their works, is different in each case. In the novel Nezvěstný of Egon Hostovský dominate followings motives: gray, weak contours, theatricality, panoptic and a metaphorical description of February Prague. The main features of the works of Zdeněk Nemeček are: close relationship between teller and main character, short dialogs, view from above, sad feelings and feeling of separation. Konvtun's work named Pražská ekloga is specific with irony (it is evidently a product of considerable time span from the other described events), naturalistic features and war atmosphere. The authors associate a considerable relationship to Prague and their contributions to the programme "Slovo a svět" of the Radio Free Europe, in spite of their different life stories and poetics. Diploma thesis focuses on one of the most important variables of proportional electoral systems - electoral districts. This problematic is researched in the context of municipal elections to the Prague City Assembly. In the Czech municipal electoral system this variable can be changed very flexibly and in Prague we can find three variations of electoral districts. The aim of thesis is to explore these variants of electoral districts from the point of proportionality and efficiency of governance. The topic is researched in three cases of municipal elections in Prague in 2010, 2014 and 2018. In the introduction of diploma thesis two research questions are defined. The first part is theoretical, and it is focused on the municipal electoral system in the Czech Republic, electoral district in the theory of electoral systems, variants of electoral districts in Prague and academic debate about proportionality and efficiency. Results of three researched elections are analysed as well. The analytical part of thesis is focused on models of seats distribution in accordance with electoral districts. In the conclusion results are evaluated and compared. Research questions are answered in this part as well.

The master thesis "Zikmund Reach and his photographic collection" focuses on Zikmund Reach's photographs of old Prague. Firstly theis describes the life and familly of the publisher and follows by gradual work of an publisher. The subsequent chapter focuses on photography as a commodity and presents briefly life and work poof a French photographer Eugène Atget. The next part of the thesis devotes on the main photographic topics of the work od Zikmund Reach including an extensive collection of "Prague types" which is a sociological reflecion of society in the second half of 19th century compared with a similar collection of "Viennies types". The main topic is based on the photographic albums of "Disappeared Prague" which aren't known yet. In conclusion the thesis focuses on archives in which the collection of Zikmund Reach is stored in and their mutual thematic coherence.

The diploma thesis "Media Coverage of Prague Public Transport Company" intends to describe the media image of the company in selected Czech dailies Metro, MF Dnes, Právo and Pražský deník during the years 2011 and 2012. A total of 680 articles were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively systematically describing their content during the period mentioned. The theoretical part introduces the reader to a broader context and serves as a platform anchoring the practical part. At first this part introduces the chosen methodology and then the results and interpretation. The quantitative content analysis explores how often and how much the topic appears in print media, its timing during the given period, and deals with researching of mainly published topics mentioned in press and their relationships in connection to Prague Public Transport Company. The thesis also focuses on the types of articles (hard news and soft news) and also examines which actors appeared in the selected newspapers. The next part deals with the linguistic interpretation of individual statements about Prague Public Transport Company, therefore, in what areas is the subject of analysis evaluated positively or negatively, on the basis of the attributes of language resources and comparison. This diploma theses deals with the issues of music in movies. However, it is mainly focused on the life of Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer, one of the temporary Czech film music composer. I approached his life through a biography and an interview. Then I developed the matters of film music upon his work. First, I discussed the historic point of view and than the practical one - three interviewees helped me with that. Futher, I described the process of recording in Smecky Music Studio and I also analysed two parts of soundtrack from the movie Against the Wild which was composed by Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer. Last but not least, the results of a questionare are introduced to show how people perceive film music and its composers.
