SOUKUPOVÁ, Kristýna January 2010 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on the influence of teaching students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia in Czech Budejovice on a mentor nurse´s attitude to nursing care provision. In the first chapter of the theoretical section the term nurse is introduced, and it is dealt with her duties, roles, attitudes, it is explained who a mentor nurse is and what topics a pilot certified course contains. The next four chapters are focused on a supervisor´s personality, supervision issues, teachers and their non-traditional roles and the didactic skills of a mentor. The description of a mentor´s didactic skills is divided into education, student diagnostics, teaching goals and classroom practices. The sixth part deals with student clinical practice mentors, their role in clinical practice, assessment and feedback and mentorship as an advancement of nurses´ work. The seventh chapter of the theoretical section introduces the issue of communication as an integral part of nursing practice teaching and in the last section we have focused on the issue of evidence-based nursing. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the impact of nursing practice teaching on a mentor nurse´s attitude to nursing care provision and students´ evaluation of a mentor nurse´s achievements in nursing care provision. The outcomes of the quantitative research, conducted by using a questionnaire method, confirm the hypothesis 1 suggesting that students regard mentor nurses´ nursing procedures as standards for their future practice. We can also confirm the hypothesis 3 suggesting that students believe that a mentor nurse considers the correct information registration into nursing documentation as necessary, and also the hypothesis 2 suggesting that students believe that a mentor nurse can communicate more effectively than other staff nurses was confirmed. Mentor nurses´ attitudes to nursing care provision were identified by using qualitative investigation by asking research questions. Out of the six nurses interviewed, four mentor nurses consider mentorship as knowledge contribution to the field of communication with people, four mentor nurses consider mentorship as stimulation for improving their own expertise, four mentor nurses would be willing to introduce new knowledge into practice and provide nursing care in accordance with the EBN. The knowledge gained form this research work may serve as a suggestion and aid for students planning to carry out clinical nursing practice at a clinic, for nurses who have been working or have been preparing to work as clinic mentor nurses, and certainly for all of those who wish to learn more on this issue and to understand the mentor nurse job.

Jelínková, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
This thesis explores the different types of primary school teachers' attitude towards inclusive education of pupils with behavioural problems. Three main goals were attempted through interviews with teachers of different qualification. The first goal was to understand the differences between teachers' attitudes and opinions. The second was to identify the major reasons for said attitudes. The third goal was to review bill no. 27/2016, which deals with the issues of education of pupils with special needs and of exceptionally talented pupils. The respondents, who participated in this research, are currently employed as primary school teachers, as well as the Waldorf elementary schools and practical elementary schools. The research has shown that all respondents viewed the inclusion of pupils with behavioural problems as disadvantageous. This attitude can however be influenced by the type of school, or additional education in this particular field. This research concludes with a comparison to a U.S. research of similar goals. KEYWORDS: Behavioural problems, behavioural disorder, inclusion, teachers' attitude, primary school, Waldorf school, practical elementary school

Etika filantropie / Ethics of Philanthropy

Kroupa, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Charles University Faculty of Humanities Applied Ethics Ethics of Philanthropy Annotation of Doctoral Thesis Mgr. Jan Kroupa Supervised by: prof. PhDr. Jan Sokol, CSc., Ph.D. 2020 ANNOTATION The increase in private wealth in our cultural circuits has been unprecedented which fosters growth in private philanthropy. Charitable giving has been on a rise throughout the western world, including the Czech Republic, where we can document long-term and steady growth in both the number of charitable gifts as well as in the amount donated. In parallel, on the beneficiary side, there is a stabilized sector of well-established civic organizations covering the standard array of charitable topics. We may state that following 1989, the Czech civic sector has been revived, showing - despite all challenges - most signs of healthy maturing. In this paper, we attempted to capture the cultural and social context of philanthropy from the point of view of practical philosophy. We examined the rich roots of philanthropy and described the processes of its institutionalization until now. We paid special attention to describing the current situation of philanthropic giving in the Czech Republic. On basis of the above, we debated some of the dilemmatic questions of today's philanthropy, such as selecting the beneficiary and donor...

Etika a moc v sociálně zdravotních službách / Ethics and Power in Social Health Services

Hradcová, Dana January 2015 (has links)
The following text is an ethnographical study of relations in which care is shaped. On the example of care homes with special regime I describe how power is made and how different ideals are enacted in care of people with dementia. Through the analysis of daily activities' micro practice, I introduce two possible ways (modes of ordering) of care for frail elderly with cognitive impairment. The first of the modes is based on an enactment of ideals introduced into the practice by the Social Services Act and related system of quality standards: autonomy, individualisation, activation, and inclusion. It relies on standardisation of procedures, detailed specification of actions and management by objectives. The second mode of ordering, which could be located in the stories from care homes, is founded on an inevitable human dependency and vulnerability, and on general human need of giving and receiving care. In it, relationships and care improvisation here and now play the key role. My ethnographic fieldwork has shown that in everyday practice these two ways of doing good care co-exist - they complement each other, overlap and sometimes clash. People in care homes, striving for the better and the best care, either keep together, or hold apart these different and non-coherent ways of care. In discourse of...

Etika v adiktologické praxi / Ethics in addictology practice

Švadlenová, Jana January 2021 (has links)
The presented work is an empirical study offering an insight into the providing of addictology care in the everyday practice. In a selected Organization, I ethnographically examine how the good addictology practice is done and what, according to the participants, makes it good. That means how the Organization comes to what is good and what is not, when and in which situation is it good. Through analyses of Organization's everyday life taking place in various facilities helping people at risk of dependents and their loved ones, through documents analyses and through the way the Organization presents itself, I offer proved a support for the good practice. These are the organization's spirit, that is cultivated from the long-term care for the organization's culture and also an awareness of the constant formation of one's own path towards good and even better care. However, neither the path nor the spirit has the same face and final form. Although it stands on solid foundations, which are the organizational values (respect, openness, responsibility, relationship and cooperation) and is based on a long history and traditions, it is shaped by what every day brings to the Organization. Despite its functional support, the Organization is not free from mistakes, errors. However, it seeks to ensure that its...
